Good Endurance races for the Nissan GT-R N24?

Im mid way through the 4 hours endurance in this (my tuning stands at rigidity improvement, fully customised gearing, engine upgrade 1 and turbo 1. Im pitting every 5 laps, racing medium tyres wear out after 5.5 laps and fuel lasts just over 6 laps from full to empty. My lead is currently 45 seconds

I'm doing it completely stock now, no upgrades whatsoever. I did buy some racing hards but I haven't put then on yet. The S2000 turbo is currently 30 seconds ahead of me after I just pitted, it's been like this since the race started. I pit he's ahead, he pits and I'm ahead. I'm 1 hr 50 into the race, it's gonna be a close finish this one

With around one hour left of the race we're in the pits together with just 14 seconds separating us (me just in the lead). One pit stop left for both of us I think, as long as I keep it on track and don't crash I should win this. I'm sri using the Sports Soft tyres that came with the car as well, not touched the racing hards

Finished in 1st over 40 seconds in the lead by the end. Quality car to do this race in, mod it and I reckon it'll be far far too easy to win. Wasn't sure for a long time what the outcome would be because the gap was only just over one second a lap difference over the race and with different pit stop strategies it was difficult to gauge exactly who was leading. It's a very easy car to drive but when you are driving for pretty much 4 hours non-stop it makes a lot of sense to pick something like it

I decided to start the 24h Le Mans today.
I tried to do it with the N24.
It was raining, i just passed them in the corners.
On wet it's easy, on dry, your ****ed.

Awesome, I've never had an endurance race like that,

I'm doing the 4 hours of Nurburgring now :D just took a break around the 1 hour mark, the RUF YellowBird stays right behind in the beginning and pulls away with you from the other cars, but then starts spinning and wrecking once the tires get worn :(

Totally stock Nissan GT-R N24 Four hours of Nurburgring started last night.

I won by over a minute in the end. It would have been a good fight if only the AI pitted at the right time instead of doing too many laps on worn tyres.

I was at 200% bonus yesterday before the race and it still gave me 200% bonus today even though loading the game took me straight back to the race. I got my log on bonus once I exited the hall and got back to the home page.

I think the 9 hour race might be a bit closer with this car so I'll try that next but not today.

I have been trying the N24 in practice on the ring in different conditions. I was surprised because the car is so heavy, but it handles the ring extremely well. Its flows perfectly and is very forgiving.

I'm using it in the 24hrs le mans at the moment. Its been raining from the start and the whether icon says 100% rain.
(don't know if that is for the current conditions or future prediction).
Was running racing rain tires and could do slightly better than the bentley and one of the pescarolo's in lap times.
But I had an off and have been running mostly 3rd a few minutes off the front 2.
The car handles well and with conserving tires my times are as I said slightly better than the 2 front runners but the fuel is the killer.
In the rain the front 2 last up to 15 laps per pit and have quicker pit stops as after 10 laps I have had the GTR have 3 litres left at most, and at least, run out on the straight before the pit entry.
After each pit stop I can drop to as low as 6th
I've switched to racing softs in the wet to get back my 3min+ that I am behind.

I'm sure that figure for the rain is how much surface water there is although I could be wrong, might not be a good idea to go out on slicks if that is the case

with the racing softs I have made up the time and now have a 2-3 min lead after 60 laps. rain keeps coming.

But I've been pushing hard and ran out of fuel a bit further away from the pits last time to I will do nine lap stints now

Just finished the 4 hours of Nurburgring with the car completely stock, (I literally bought the car from the dealership and entered this race) no driving aids other than ABS at 1 and won by over 4 minutes, and I was using a controller the whole time so if I was using my wheel it'd be an even bigger margin.

One thing I noticed with this car is that it has working fuel gauges (there are two.) Is that something PD added with Spec 2.0 or is it just this car? Regardless, it's really cool having working fuel gauges in the interior.

It's a piece of cake mate. The S2000 GT1 does 6 laps stints. On stock tyres I pit every 4 laps. After the first pitstop I had dropped to 9th place 28.8 seconds behind the S2000. I caught him half way around lap 6 and by the time he pitted I'd opened up a 16 second lead on him.

Ah, ok. Will do that next time then too.:) When I first tried it y'day I wanted to have less pit stops than the S2000 so decided to do one more lap than he did, which was not a good idea, haha. Ran it at Racing Hards, but for a bigger challenge will do it at Sports Softs too, since that's perfectly possible it seems.:)

Wait a minute so the racing softs gave you better grip on a completely rain soaked track than the racing wets did?

Make sure the S2000 GT1 Turbo is in the race and not just the S2000 GT1

Odd isnt it. But true.

When i did suzuka 1000 i could take the left hander before the final chicane on average 30 mph faster with RS over rains.

The slick tires work in wet a-spec races because the grip reduction is locked at low instead of real. In addition AI drives very slow in rain so even if you use the actual rain tires it's still easy to be faster than AI.

Can't believe I've had the game for nearly a year now and I've never noticed this :dunce:

Wish'd I known this before I started, I've had to stop for 10 minutes before I fall asleep from boredom of being too fast.

Yup - the tire grip modelling is completely unbalanced in A-spec. You can continue to run slick tires even when the track is 100% wet and be running circles around the AI - add to that the fact that you gain additional time by not having to pit when it starts raining.

If PD would add a patch where you can change the both the grip reduction level and the AI aggression for A-spec like you can for online/arcade mode, that would be perfect.
