Maybe gold with a rotation of top silvers, and the rest of the silvers with the bronze drivers in the beginning. Once the season gets sorted after a few races itll be a little more apparent who the top silvers are then pretty much be able to exclusively run them with the golds and keep the rest together
All dependent on how the actual division numbers are sorted of course.

i know from experience it isnt much fun getting lapped 2-3 times by a fast driver(s). Guys like sam, heri, bg, yugo should run amongst the top drivers imo. If only to cut down on backmarker issues as sam said

JUST A SLOW GUYS OPINION:

I like the mixed lobbies. There's ways to learn all sorts of race craft from it, but I go into each weekend knowing I've got ZERO shot at a Top 5, much less a win. If we kept lobbies mixed, maybe it would be a good idea to still have W/C nights division specific?

BUT: Depending on how the Divisions are done, I could at least work out a 5th. I think. Remember, I'm the slow guy.

PRO: Closer points fights and allows more to contend for the win
CON: Less opportunity for trying to follow the quicker guys and learning their lines

PRO: Less Blue Flag run-ins
CON: Not really a con to that as I'm usually the one in the way

PRO: divisional lobbies could potentially allow more room for new racers and promotions accordingly could be easier assessed I think.
CON: More work on Nick's part.
PRO: More work on Nick

And with gold and bronze having less than silver, silver lobby could see 16 where as gold and bronze may only see 6 each.
Idk guys I wasn’t going to get involved with this one but the more I think about it, ARL is unique in the way we have been doing things (SUCCESSFULLY). Going divisional is something I’d be against. I feel low the “slower” guys/wifey learn by following the faster guys. If we split up, there’s a lot more that could be lost. Take a deep thought and consideration with this one.
If that’s the case put gold and bronze together and it makes it kind of like a mixed class race but even still the fast bronze may be able to keep up on lead laps you know

He brings up the point I was about to make. Our races get so spread out that I don’t think the bronze drivers are really learning anything at all from the faster drivers. They might follow them for a lap or two but then once they’re out of reach they just settle into their own pace anyway. The divisions find each other on the track regardless. I think dangling a trophy in front of someone will motivate them more to drive faster then watching someone blow their doors off. If they want to learn from faster drivers they can participate in the driving school or we could also make the mock races mixed and official race divisional.
I’m like all over the place but I’m reacting late lol but I mean bronze learns when getting lapped not to get nervous someone is about to pass and how to try to stick with the faster driver after passing I like the top 3 idea or like I said the post before putting gold and bronze together if silver has that many drivers

That's totally understandable and I also get where Nate is coming from. It could just be that I'm motivated differently, but two seasons ago I would wait for lobby assignments, hoping that I'd be in the same lobby as Sam, Heri, Neutty and JW. Not deluded enough to think I'd beat them or even hang with them for very long, but just knowing we shared the same track lit a fire under my a$$. I'm ok with whatever the BoD decides, but the guys with my mentality and learn the way I do are gonna lose out.

Let's say we go with divisional lobbies. Gold has what? 6-8 drivers if everyone shows. One mistake and you're going to have a very, very lonely drive the remainder of the session. No risk of slower traffic, backmarkers, nothing. It'll definitely result in closer racing, but at what cost? When was the last time you've seen a IMSA or WEC or Blancpain event where no one got lapped by race end? It's just not realistic IMHO.

To the BoD:
We should do the 1st race mixed as normal.
From then on the lobbies should be made depending on the OVERAL FINISHES OF THE PREVIOUS RCE.
For example:
The top 16 overal finishers on the previous race would be all together in lobby A.
And the rest in lobby B.
Regardless of their divisions.
@TexasJDC
This isnt a bad idea

I tried to start one too but wouldn’t let me add @Rob Pardun. Might be one of my settings? I’ll try again later tonight.

On the side-track a little: Back when we're doing the last wildcard race a memory kind of floated up my mind. I was digging around my old archives and I found this, taken way back in 2008 when I was still a junior high school kid.

If memory serves me right, it's one of the two units that made it to Singapore. I was told by the booth staff that the car actually cost $800,000 to bring it in here, excluding road tax. Sadly it's not road legal as it's left-hand drive (we drive on the right side) and it could only serve as a display car. It was definitely one of the wildest encounter I had with a friend while shopping in the city district.

BREAKING NEWS:

INSIDE ARL has learned that after a rather short late night discussion, Audi has signed a contract pledging full technical support with @Yugofan . Audi Competition Directors provided us with these comments:

"We watch ARL regularly and really wanted to become a part of this fantastic league. We had talked with plenty of drivers in the past, but none expressed interest. Then 2/3rd's into Season 5, this black Audi R8 showed up out of no where. No sponsors, and no help from us, but there was our car getting noticed rapidly. Audi knew we had to sign this "yugo" guy for Season 6. We believe he may be the answer to our Beetle problem. Surprisingly he didn't ask for much in terms of a contract. Like nothing actually. Thank goodness he's not like those Death Wish people. We hear they have some insane travel demands."

When asked about receiving manufacturer support from Audi, yugo said "What support? I just gave out my first autograph as an ARL driver. Next thing I know, I'm getting call after call with all kinds of sponsor offers! It was crazy, man!"

Yugofan quickly signed with Hooters Restaurants, Hancook Tires, and Gulf Fuels. When asked about the decision to sign with Hooters over some bigger proposals, his response was "Chicken Wings. They offered me free chicken wings."

Inside ARL was provided a photo op with yugo's new look for his Magnificent 7 Hooters Restaurants Audi R8 GT3:
