It was a tough but interesting race. Never expected the front tires to die off that quickly, until I had to tiptoe along the corners by lap 4-5. I guess that's the true form of the Gr.3 crazy variant I drove. The brakes were extremely strong which I liked, in fact I overheated my front tires hard braking into several corners for many laps.

My apologies to @DimeloJJ and @Drummer79 for the lapping and off-course shunt respectively which ruined if not, at least part of the race. The IRs are on me for the Stewards to decide for both cases. I'm not satisfied with myself trying to untangle out of the chaos but ended up worsening it.

Sadly, the room was closed before I could capture the replay. So I can't really see for myself what exactly went wrong in several point of views.

I gotta say, I was rather happy the first ten laps. Everything felt great. Tried my best to keep up with Falcon. Felt on the edge the whole time, but everyone kept slowly pulling away. The car was an excellent change of pace. Kudos to @TurboTacho. Chased each other down twice and had a thrilling last lap with position being determined in the final corner. I just didn't have the tires to pull it off.

Dont worry, my race was pretty challenging to I didnt show my best tonight.

I dont want to be aggressive
PLEASE GET OU OF THE WAY WHEN YOU ARE BLUE FLAGGED.......

Not you @TurboTacho I came from to far away in T1 you didnt expected it and my tires were destroyed.

It was a thorough chase starting at lap 31 onwards, which I tried to pick up as much pace as possible from fresh tires. Initially I had thought it was all gone because I was falling back rapidly and just went for as much as I could in the car.

You were really fast and great igniting the rear tires to pick up speed, while I was struggling badly with understeer and dying fronts. The last corner was a massive thrill, and of course I saw you drifting through the last lap and constantly on my bumper for any opportunity to seize. (My heartrate was recording in at around 105 bpm)

I believe that's not the only time we chased each other while piling as much pressure. But it was certainly putting my tires on the money pool on the table.

The blue flags appear extremely early as a forewarning (I guess it's 3 seconds gap?). So I'd just stick to my pace, knowing the faster car is roughly 2-3 seconds a lap quicker. So I didn't deliberately slow down the car until when the lapping car is right behind me (0.5 seconds) I'd pull to the side along the straight with an indicator, or I'd just run extra wide around a corner.

I was totally shook when I saw in my radar, a rapidly approaching car down into turn 1. I was totally caught off-guard by it for not seeing it, as I did flick back and take a quick look before. By then I knew it was too late, because it's either I'd run into the front lapping car, or swerve out and dive bomb the front lapping car.

No worries man, didn't even think anything of it?

Not gonna lie, my inner Terry Labonte (aka The Iceman) helped me out a lot. However, my inner Dale Earnhardt failed me. I figured getting you a bit nervous would be my best shot.

Its on you to make a safe pass
Well of coarse but its the point of a Blue flag to dont make loose time to the passing driver.
The problem comes whe the lapped car races you in a straight and even into a bteaking zone. Or it has hapoened to me often They dont even know Im behind them.
I dont want to be complaining all the time but it really is frustrating having to be fighting with lapñed cars even contacting......

But you have a valid point I do have to practice getting pass and away from the lapped ones faster and safely.

Yeah all the fast guys manage to do it week in and week out the only thing the lapped car is responsible to do is run a consistent line there is no rule anywhere that says a driver must move pull over slow down anything of the sort. It is just to let the slower driver know faster traffic is approaching.

Appendix H, Article 2.4.5.1d) of the International Sporting Code

d) Light blue flag
This should normally be waved, as an indication to a driver that he is about to be overtaken. It has different meanings during practice and the race.
At all times:
  • A stationary flag should be displayed to a driver leaving the pits if traffic is approaching on the track.
During practice:
  • A faster car is close behind you and is about to overtake you.
During the race:
  • The flag should normally be shown to a car about to be lapped, if the driver does not seem to be making full use of his rear-view mirrors. When shown, the driver concerned must allow the following car to pass at the earliest opportunity.
now what im getting from this is your not suppose to race the faster car putting you a lap down but i dont see anywhere it saying "to get out of the way of the faster car" ultimately it comes down to the faster driver, being in both situations in the past i can tell you if your faster than me and im in a battle i will not race you but i will not sacrifice my race to let you by because again it comes down to the faster car making a clean pass. now reverse situation if im approaching a lapped car i will choose the place to pass him that is safe and wont cost me time.

What a crazy 🤬 race! Talk about living on the edge. Great pick @Trappy93, you can select my races anytime.

Congrats to @Fuzzymeca @SAMHAIN85 & @Yugofan.

Had a ton of fun with this one with close, hard racing everywhere.

Fuzzy, I don't even know what your livery looked like. I never 🤬 saw you!

Shoutout to GTR4MROD for the livery. The practice was very fun too. You and SAMHAIN85 caught up to the beat admirably. Yugo kept the pace all the race. Hope to see more N one-make

That's true just keep racing the optimal line without slowing yourself down. But let the faster driver get the hint to do a power exit and you won't block him or deviate of your line

The point to the exemple you refer where someone race you in a straight line and the breaking point is not quite right. He is right to not slow down and let you pass, but i think how it's supposed to be is if you have the interior line in the straight and the oppenent has the exterior one then you two take those same lines while breaking and while turning. The fastest driver should take the lead easily since he in theory "lapped" the guy but no one lost time in the situation, and everyone got what they wanted

I think its how it should be and its how i work it out usually.
