OK so If the game came out on December, you would of say BOOOO @ unfinished game. I rater have wait month or two longer for polished complete game.

The comment I made wasn't a very serious one, so I wouldn't look to deep into it. I can wait until the winter, I have plenty of other games I can play and I haven't even touched Prologue yet. If it comes out in December and was "unfinished" you're correct, I would definitely say "BOO", I think most people would. If it comes out in December and it is finished, then "YAY". I think that anticipating a June-July release is perfectly reasonable.

Just read Jordan's analysis of all the news, delay and percentage complete figure. I totally agree - this delay is nothing but a marketing move to get the game into next fiscal, away from other releases, and yes, to give PD a bit more time to finish it off.

I believe so, they showed a working 3D version in CES which tells me there will be two different versions of the game. Suddenly I might have found another twist in the riddle

So they announced a released date for a month they knew the game won't be finished.
Doesn't make a lot of sense. It can't be 90%.

Its not PD that decides the date, its Sony (and in particular, it was SCE)

What happened to "We can release anytime we want" ? ?

I've just had a look, the paint on the track has height, it's not just textured. The detail on the cars is amazing, but the reflection in the minis wing mirror looks a bit odd.

Well, there's always EA if you strongly dislike Polishing

I have already played NFS: Shift and liked it a bit more than I thought I would.

If by "polishing" you mean graphics, then I think that EA doesn't do that bad of a job. If by "polishing" you mean gameplay, physics, FF and all that good stuff, then yes, EA could have used a few more months with a game like Shift (and others).

yeah right. when gt6 comes out in 2 years you'll complain about an unfinished game. we don't want another modern warfare 2

I think I'm no longer interested in the game. GT5P came out 2 years ago, the career mode has always just been a series of races, so it can't be the problem. They've obviously just working on another useless feature such as b-spec, photo mode that I'd never use. GT isn't a racing game, its a car game where the only point of racing is to get cash for more cars. I'll have to stick to f1 games and hopefully a wrc one gets announced.

Just judging by the amount of tracks they've announced that they don't care what fans want, took them 5 games to get a cockpit view even. Another 5 to get some decent tracks...seriously, every couple months they announce some new POS concept car that they are putting in the game, really don't care anymore. PD can keep working on their game...anyone remember GT4's online getting ripped out? the most requested feature? OH WE GOT GTPSP!!!!! who even owns a PSP for racing games.

People waiting even more for new ID game and i don't see anyone complaining about it. They now that game will be AAAA and that's all.

When it comes to GT5 people are going crazy over one delay. When Kaz present new feature they are sayin "WTF i want game !!" I say "fu&& you" i don't want to play glitchfest and i don't want game to be cut because some idiots complaining.

I'm more lol when i see people that think if game is delayed then game will be worse than not delayed game...


Lot's off people were complaining about lack of features in gt5p or gt4 and we get it now.We have confirmed night/day , weather, damage , tuning, full of cars and tracks , ftw online, gt-tv and whole another galaxy of diffrent features and i don't get why are you so angry about one stupid delay.

GT5 probably will be the best racing game ever and probably we wil play it more than gt4 which i personaly play even today from premiere...

Wait 5 Years and then play 5 years... i like that type of developing..

I think PD didn't make a game, they made a super car and call it video game. 5 years is insane for a car game! Does anyone know any type of racing game that took 5 years to make? I know some FPS game, but racing game? Crazy.

GT5 will set a standard, it'll be incredibly in-depth, not to mention stunning graphics.

You've got to remember, there really aren't many racing games that actually get built from scratch any more. Besides, racing game engines are about the most difficult out there.

Imagine trying to get a computer to simulate how a car behaves. More accurate you want it, the longer it'll take. Racing games are pretty clever, there aren't many more genres that are more complex. It's pretty special stuff.

GT5 will be to all future car games like GT1 was to most of the car games in the past. I can not even imagine what he has in store for us. However we can rest assured that this will not be an overhauled and tuned up GT4. I am sure that GT5 will raise the bar very high for this version. It is starting to sound to me that GT5 will be the re-birth of the Gran Tursimo series.

As all of you am hoping for late spring / early summer release. Really believe that they should of went ahead and released GT4 HD a few years ago. Suppose should just get on with life and stop reading these forums every day. The day will come and oh what a day it will be.

GT5 was written from scratch (no code was reused). Yeah, they have prior knowledge but it would still take a long time to write a game of this magnitude.

I think WolfRacer543 is dead on. The expectations are high for many, but they should be. I absolutely expect GT5 to make GT4 look like GT1. I really hope that is what happens or else 5-6 years for one GT game won't cut it, (new codes or not). Perhaps Sony should just let them focus on console versions. GT PSP was a road-block for those workers at PD.

But all in all, I have tremendous faith that PD will deliver a masterpiece, as usual.👍

I think it will be like most other GTs. You can race WRC/SGT if the requirements allow you to. But I imagine for most of the Professional/Expert racing will be a specific classes/cars. Before you could use whatever vs whatever but I think with the licenses as the game gets to the more dedicated racing and once you establish yourself it'll be specific
