What could the customization refer to?

wash
oil change
paint car
paint wheels
buy wheels
buy bumpers/skirts/wing
engine overhaul

??? why are the sideskirts and bumpers shown there.. can we do that?!

i would have thought people would have been making more noise about it. that is a big step up from front splitter/rear wing of gt4.

We really don't know this yet, unless you've heard it officially somewhere (in which case my apologies).

Well, I know nothing, but it certainly seems way unlikely PD would've bothered modeling and designing bodykits for standard cars too, as they are basically GT4 models. But as I said, I'm only guessing.

i sincerely hope that we can buy OEM wheels (the stock wheels that are included with cars that we buy) and put them on other makes/models

Been searching for this for a while but haven't found anything on it.

Will you be able to adjust the degrees of rotation for the DFGT wheel in GT5? As far as I know, you can't do it in GT5P and it really kills me.

Please do not respond with; "look it up" or "been discussed already" because, as I've said, I couldn't find it. Thanks.

Sandman, In prologue I have been experimenting with adjusting the maximum turning angle up and down to effectivley increase or decrease the turn rate. I think it works but that might just be me playing tricks on me. Other than that just get used to the DFGT, it takes time and is different for cach car more so than the controller.

Surley it will be the same in GT5 full once you have a fully customisable suspension.

It has been discussed already, but I think the conclusion was that if anywhere it will be adjustable only on Fantec wheels. It could be in the options of GT5 but we aren't sure yet

Wow! I played around with it a little bit today and it really does help. I had just carried over my setups from when I was playing the game with a controller prior to this. Now I realize that there are actually a couple of things that you might want to change when using a wheel.

Thanks for the tip but unfortunately, you cannot adjust this setting on some of the cars (including the F2007).

I'm really hoping that they add more wheel customization in the full game because it actually makes a huge difference. If you have to go hand over hand to make tight turrns it can mess you up when you're trying to find the paddle shift on exit.

When I first used the wheel I found I would think that I needed to go hand over hand but once you get your lines right you don't need to go hand over hand. At least not yet.

Finding the paddle can still occasionally get me depending on the cars gearing.

What will be really interesting is once I have a clutch and an H gate shifter to worry about, I'm certain I'll be slower than with the paddles. On the plus side you can skip gears downshifting instead of cycling through them all.

Meh, I've got a DFP. Paddles are fixed to the wheel. :)

I like having the option, though. I tend to switch depending on what the real car has.

I think every car even standards can be customize and i think they will turn every standard car to premium over time via update.

I'd bet all cars are customisable. I'll go as far as to say I know that. As for standard cars being upgraded to premium via DCL or updates I think it makes more sence that that is GT6+ so I'm not holding my breath on that one.

Kaz did say he didn't like the idea of DLC.

I would take the DCL in a heartbeat though, even if it cost more than it should.

You see, Ill explain why I believe Standards Wont get Bodykits/Race mods.

Standards arent like Premiums, which are made in Pieces, Ex: Bumpers, Sideskirts, Doors, Hood, Trunk, Headlights, Etc. are different pieces or 3D models, doenst matter how you want to see it.

Now, those parts are detachable, so if you want to change a Bumper, Sideskirt, Door, Etc, you just change that 3d Model for another one that fits.

BUT, Standards are Just ONE piece models with Textured gaps to resemble the idea of being different parts.

The question is, To change a bumper you'll probably have to remake the complete car model, or maybe adding something to it, but not changing It.

By the way, it also Explains why standards cant get damaged like Premiums, they cant broke/sepparate/detach its pieces because its an only piece model, so it can get a little bit deformed but thats all.

could still work. Maybe they've found a solution that changes cosmetics without them taking damage. It'd be a completely different system to the premiums, and who cares so long as they look good. I think it'll be the same for racing modification, adding some aero bits on the side and front and rear, making it a more authentic looking racecar. Most my favorite cars are standard, so I'm kinda worried. Oh and I think the Premium conversion will be handled in PATCHES not DLC's

Yeah I agree, I think Lord Kazzington will try to make this game as close to perfect as possibe. Im pretty sure that there will be update packs along with DLC packs with cars and tracks.

Just the shear number of standards & the way that they are modeled, it would seem to be waste of time for PD to dedicate much time in that direction. In addition to non-visual upgrades to standards, some might get new livery's through race modifications. :)

It probably means the same thing we saw in Prologue with the "concept by GT" cars. Meaning rims, spoilers, bodykits and so on (like in Forza). Those cars also had aftermarket steering wheels and racing seats installed, so I wonder if we'll have the possibility to customise the interiors of the cars as well. :D

YES!!! IM PRETTY SURE because i was playing the demo at gamestop today and the Audi quattro v something well everytime i changedthe color of the car the exterior changes too so hopefully thats a heads up telling us you can but fingers crossed :dopey:

I hope PD do the right thing and let us change the size and width of our wheels! Also even though GT4 had a nice lineup of wheels, I would like to see even more brands.
