Surprizing to see that many in here that disagree with me according a livery editor. Well i know there MIGHT be ONE lambo with a helly kitty vinyl on it in the world. Its not really the same as racing on nurburgring with 16 diffrent cars all covered in fantasy vinyls.

Everybody like diffrent things, like i already said in my last post. I like race with realistic cars..thats it. You guys that argues with me here obviously like to make and paint fantasy cars and stuff like that. Then we just diffrent type of people and accept it at that. I NEVER said i was against a livery editor. I just said the DOWNSIDE about it. Read my posts better before you start arguing.

Kinda scary that no one seems to agree with me...

I think that while few people are agreeing with you about not wanting a livery editor, most people here do seem to agree with this statement. The issue is that there are different views of what is realistic.

I'm sorry to add yet more Forza paint images to this thread, but hopefully these three illustrate a point - two of them are replicas of real cars, one is an original design.

That's your opinion but you present it as fact:)

Even though I myself like a more clean look I wouldn't mind to see some car with manga liverys etc. And if somebody decided to paint genitals all over the car it's their decision. I wouldn't be offended, would rather respond with a WTF and think that they were childish.

I wonder how many people there is who thinks that Jon Olsson has "destroyed" his Murcielago SV with the ski box. Personally, I think it's cool.

I just want body kits TBH... I don't think anything is wrong with a "tasteful" livery editor (Forza's snitch system was laughable) but Kaz already said it's not in GT5 so that's done with. It does look like we'll have vinyls and banners or whatever... woot.

WHy? Even though some might not care about liveries, they're aware that a lot of people are. They'd rather have those interested in a livery editor happy. Not every one is narrow minded.
By the way, if you read the previous pages from before you showed up, you'd find that there are plenty of people who share your feelings.

You guys are incredible... read my FIRST POST PLEASE! And if you have, read it again because you seems to miss the point, thanks!

I NEVER SAID IM AGAINST A LIVERYEDITOR. In fact i said i like a livery editor but only if its a great one. I also said i myself LOVES to make replica cars etc. I never said nothing about people making good looking liveries i am one myself. Just said that the downside like everything else in this world is that we gonna see a bunch of tasteless stupid cars too.

I do make my own cars in MCLA, i got a lots of cars. A good example right here, my (Not perfect since only 64 layers avaliable in MCLA) RX7 RE Amemiya with ART Factory STRIKERS TAS showcar. And beside me theres a... a... i dont really know what the &%¤ that is but you still not get the picture??? These kind of cars are all over MCLA, all over Need for speed etc. 95% of all cars look like this and ye, i MIGHT be the only one but i RATHER cruise/drift/race with STOCK cars than ruined cars like that.

I even found a pic on a NON replica car that i made long ago just to demonstrate with pics what i mean. Get it, im not talking about EVERY car make in a livery editor. Just about the ruined ones and which will be the majority.

I said my piece, i totally get your points of view that a livery editor makes the cars personall blabla which i agree on, but you seems to miss my point.

Again, a part of me wants a livery editor. I love making replicas and can sit many hours just for one car. Not to mention, the feeling of knowing that you´re the only one with that just particular car/version is great.

IF a livery editor is included its better be a GREAT one. Being able to add many layers and lots of shapes/variations to choose from. A great variety of logos will be appreciated too. =) Basically what im saying is, give me a great editor, so great that i wont even be bothered to pay attension to all these stupid cars around that will come with it or just let it be.

Read read read!

This is pretty original in Forza, people painting the widebody kits on the cars..

So for people saying we shouldn't have it because someone might paint a set of balls or a penis on the car, is a pretty lame excuse. I'm willing to take that chance. :)

Yeah, that's my favourite thread on there. I've contributed a couple of customs; the Bertone Veyron and the Tuscan with Sagaris-style details. Posted under the GT 'motorforum'.

Livery Editor would be cool, but it's all too much for me. I probably wouldn't even use it, and I would probably get annoyed with all the kids who would flock from FM3 making ugly designs and terrible eyesores.

It COULD be great if implemented, but there is a lot of other things that would need in, right off the bat. Forza took a couple tries to perfect it and they eventually got it pretty good. GT is going to have to take really good notes

Note sure if this has been posted before, but I came across this...

No, it's that we don't care about it. ;) Besides, GT5 is about done, so neither of us can do anything about it. What we get is what there is.

I would like a livery editor under the condition that files can be shared. RACECAR & WallRunner make some killer skins in NASCAR 09. If they can't be shared, I could care less, give me body part swaps or whatever. We already know we have a "Track Creator". How deep that is, we still dont' know.

Preset liveries = racing modifications (well, almost).
In my opinion, at least.

Agree, preset liveries would be great. One problem doe. Lets use a Mazda RX7 as example:

If you got a stock RX7 and put on a racing livery like the Aspara drink/ Amemiya super GT car then you really need to put a Super GT wide kit on it.

Then i want a D1GP R magic livery, then a D1GP R Y O okuyama livery,
then a GREDDY Amemiya D1GP livery,
then a PAN SPEED time attack livery,
then a BN sports street livery,
then a TPC magic produce livery.. etc etc etc meaning we need a diffrent body kit for each livery.

We have a similar PSN ;)
I don't think the RX7 does too well with decals and designs all over it, it's better left off simple unless a hardcore time-attack/jgtc/drift car... each has his own opinion.
Although it seems after experience, wide-body kits were meant for the track which incorporate large amounts of decals and a wild design.
(never was a fan of show-ponies, especially in Australia where all I see is 20"+ Chromed out wheels and unnecessary modifications)

I used the RX7 just as an example but im not talking about 20´chromed out wheels and stuff like that. If you read my previous posts then you ll know im quite conservative when it comes to cars ;)

Im talking about D1GP/Time attack/JGTC/Super taikyu liveries. Point is to have all these premade liveries you need a matching body kit for it. I cant imagine Kaz would ever put a R magic livery on a AD GT kit. Thats just not right. Know what i mean? =)

Off topic, you actually own a FD RE?

yeah I understand, good point :) I would love to see the FEED kit though!

& mate I wish! although I'm hoping I save up enough to earn it as my first 'turbo' car (depending if I'm ready to maintain it etc) The road/modification laws in Victoria AUS are stupid, I cannot express enough of how annoying it is.

Stock Liveries that can be applied to your car? No thanks. I quite enjoy sitting around for hours creating some kind of art for my car. I don't like the idea of just slapping a livery on my car and being done with it. It'd be even better if they did 'blank' Le-Mans and JGTC cars. I'd love to spend an afternoon sorting one of those out, creating custom logos to go on it and so on. Think it would be a really nice addition to the game.

I think it's one of the reasons that GT has been delayed as it's a big difference between Forza 3 & GT5. I'm hoping they add it.

Track editor would be very, very nice but I really can't see that happening. It strikes me that PD like to do things really well or not at all. I think a track editor would be something that would take years of work to get right, and hell; if I was making an in-game editor I'd be telling ruddy everyone about it. I know PD like to play things close to the vest, but seriously I'd have released that one by now.

Exchanging body parts between models? Interesting Idea, but not something I've really thought of before, it could work well mind.

Maybe at be able to change all the colors in the premade liveries if not a full creator.

I don't know if this has been mentioned before( i didn't read all 38 pages:) )

Even though its only minor i would like to be able to add my own text to number/license plates

Kaz showed a slide with number-plate editor listed as a potential feature for GT5 a LONG time ago. I can see obvious reasons they might've decided to exclude it though. I would really like my flag and PSN / Name printed on my car too, as they do with drivers names on race cars. This would be a really really nice detail I think. Could even have multiple names for team enduros :D
