Well folks, I think this is unfortunately the end result of what your cars will look like when they are transfered from GTPSP, which is guess what?.
 
Where did those images of the standard cars come from? I really doubt the standard cars will look like that. If the standard cars look like that, then the premium cars will either have to go lower-res or the standard cars have to go higher-res to have an even field. Maybe the November 2nd date is set for a reason: clean up the standard models.

And I'm getting the feeling retiring and race marshalls will make a foray into the game now that rollovers are implemented.

Oh, and chill out guys. It's just a game, not life...it may be heretical for me to say that on this site, but that's the truth. Yeah it is disappointing about the premium cars and standard cars thing, but guess what? We're still gonna be playing GT5 at the end of the day.

I'm sorry, but, most of you guys are sounding like complete idiots! They've shown a crapload of amazing pictures and you see one that looks bad and you start bitching? It was probably not rendered completely when they took this picture, and there is also things that affect it. You've seen the demo and you know that the graphics look a million times better than in that picture.

All my favorite cars are premiums ;) But it's sad that I can't really experience other 800...

People are forgetting that there are still 200 cars in the game with detail like you have never seen before.

I'm not forgetting anything. I'm baffled that we will have five-year old models running next to cars from Prologue.

Wow, that is a bit of a letdown indeed. I would have presumed they would at least use more highres textures, and some extra subdivisions in the 3d model...

I hope those are only place holders and they fix them till GameCom and TGS!

That pic is from the official video, which presents standard cars.

We've only seen premium cars in all the demos as far as we know.

Long time lurker - first time poster ;)
For me what matters the most is that Countach will drive like real one, cockpit view or not. Hood/bumper cam is fine, it's the sound & feedback on the wheel I need.
Anyway, since official details were released, I expect demo soon (June 29th ? :) )
 
Too bad I'm the only that'll appreciate this game standard, premium, whateverthahell they have in here. I will have GT5 in my hands finally and that is all that matters.

You must submit to the thinking that it is trash! That PD HAVE to make it look EXACTLY like real-life in order for the game to mean something! This is worse than having 2D trees!

To be honest I would be too, but it's almost like there is two games in one. And old version and a new version. Not one game created all together, like they said.

They threw everything away to create two separate standards for cars. GT4 standard and GT5 standard. This is where the game get's 'lazy' to me.

But let's be honest, they haven't been working on this game for 5 years. With Tourist Trophy, GT5P, updates for that, GTPSP, this is a lot of content in the short time they have had, but still, half the cars look unbelievable, the other half I don't even want to see up close?

I can´t believe what´s going on here...

I think I will leave this forum for a couple of days because I don´t wan´t to ruin my feelings about this incredible great last 3 days of E3 and the blowout... I hope people will calm... I think GTP was a better place at the earlier days... seems like too many kids have found this forum :(
