Also noticed that after watching the videos on my TV screen, I noticed I can see inside all of the "Standard" cars, spotting all the drivers heads.

Look it's a GT4 car lol

Too bad I'm the only that'll appreciate this game standard, premium, whateverthahell they have in here. I will have GT5 in my hands finally and that is all that matters.

+1 I honesyly think all this stuff about the premium cars and interiors is unnescarry. If you want to rant, take it here. Like KY even said, "If you focus on the small details, no one will be satisfied." Well, I've seen the small details and I'm MUCH MORE than satisfied.

People will still buy it like they did(or at least pirate) GTPSP when they heard bad news about it. The point is they did not give up on it. Same will happen to GT5, it will sell. But if we can customize all the cars to our own color and livery it will become an after thought.

This was already the case in GT3 & 4.

@ mostly everybody: Please take a chill-pill and let the news sink in. I know it's not good news, but it's hard having discussions with 8/9 posts about disappointment, there is a rage thread somewhere :p

I'm sorry, but, most of you guys are sounding like complete idiots! They've shown a crapload of amazing pictures and you see one that looks bad and you start bitching? It was probably not rendered completely when they took this picture, and there is also things that affect it. You've seen the demo and you know that the graphics look a million times better than in that picture.

First of all.Think before talk.:grumpy:
We are not idiots. This picture from OFFICIAL video called gt5_standardcars.(And those cars are ugly after premiums).
What we've seen in ALL demos (+GT5P) are PREMIUM cars.
I have no idea HOW PD will make a game-play upon 2 types of cars.

Yikes at seeing that the videos are indeed official. But the standard models don't look bad at all.

Remember, just like cars, it's not all about looks it's also about the drive.

They are official, I know this, but you guys are getting upset over a badly taken picture!

You know you cant pirate PS3 games, so it either buying (which im going to do because there really isn't another game like it, on any console, closest thing is Forza.) or you can buy another game. Its not going to matter what you choose to anyone but you.

It's still going to be a good game, of course, but with only 200 cars (most of them being supercars and racecars), the whole Gran Turismo thing and feeling will be gone. I wanted all the everyday cars etc. to be in the same quality as the Prologue cars, I wanted a full game with one quality, a real GT.

So Eurogamer dude was right and my thoughts about 800 cars being merely upscaled GT4/PSP cars and not up to GT5 Prologue standard are real.

I remember Kaz saying in late 2007 that GT5P is pretty much all we had minus the odd track and he wasn't kidding. 3 years on they managed 130 more and some more tracks.

So many favorite cars are going to be just GT4 cars.

More devs needed?

Of course the 200 cars and what we've seen so far has been great and I'll buy it for sure but what about releasing it earlier and updating it? This is a huge franchise so I don't see why even more devs to ease the base work load. I read they did add more but it wasn't enough.

$60 million. I don't expect a 1000 cars to be premium but covering 400-500 would mean a lot of our fav cars are covered and updated. 130 since GT5P doesn't cover much at all.

I agree it was a bad picture from a low resolution video. Look at the HD video and then decide for yourself, trust me its not the same as the still pic.

I don't even think the standard cars look that bad, but my problem is that there are 2 standards to begin with. It's gonna be weird having standard cars mixed in with premium cars on track (if that is even possible). Not to mention I'll have to be constantly switching between cockpit and bumper cam views. I wish they could have just cut out the fat and not wasted time on things like 3d that 5% of consumers will actually use.

That's what I'm saying. In the video you realize how good the Standard still look. The picture that was posted here was just a bad one.

The picture was from the HD video.
And yes, the muscle cars above look bad too, the only reason why they are acceptable is because of the lighting and blur effects.

First of all. It's from HD video.Second - resolution doesn't matter in this case. You can see youtube GT5 videos (even off-screen) and you know that they looked good at any resolution.
Actually - more polygons = better lighting and reflections.

Sounds like all the cars from all the previous GT games will appear in GT5. GT1, 2 and 3, as well as 4 and PSP

"OMG that's horrible, look at those shadows of the trees in the background! GT5 looks more like GT2, amirite?!"

/GTP idiot.
There's no need whatsoever to call people idiots just because they're disappointed. It's a difference of opinion, that's it.
