Close door session= Full demonstration of the Final yet buggy build.

I don't want to play the pessimistic, but a buggy build mean a late release, testing is one of the final stages of the game, if they didn't solve the major bugs until now the game is nowhere near complete. I can't believe this.

The closed session must be aiming to show a lot of features, so the press can write hyped reviews and help to gather even more attention. Being so, I can't understand why Sony would do something in these lines , but hey, we're talking about Soony PR, so everything can be expected.

Agree totally with what Skidmark said about the closed doors thing, people seem to forget what the press or journalists main job implies, namely putting the info they recieve into written or spoken conclusions and impressions and more importantly sharing this with the general public afterwards.
It only goes to show there's so much to be informed about that a public presentation just can't do justice to as it would take too much time.

May very well be the case.

I do not think so, between GT3 and GT4, there was way less time, about 3 years. GT5 there is 5 year gap period, so everyone gets mad because of that mostly.

But this conclusion didn't arrive today or yesterday, it's been 5 years for quite a while now ( although I've been playing GT4 and Prologue for the most part and am only "waiting" for the last year and a half to be honest ).

So getting mad for this reason when the wait finally seems to be over and we may get a release date and tons of info is just amusing to me.
If you can wait 5 years a few extra hours shouldn't all of a sudden turn you into a stampeding foul-mouthed toddler on a Red Bull overdose.
If you do, fine, I quite enjoy seeing people go mad over something which in the grand scheme of things is quite irrelevant.

I can understand that if we don't get a release date or the info is disappointing some would get impatient or frustrated ( I would probably be ) but we can't even see a glimpse yet of the promised land......

Yes, BUT I don't think PD can top Just One Second Apex Remix. That is one of the best DnB remixes I've EVER heard. For them to make a better one would be hard, BUT welcome..

Wow, so excited! Finally here we are! The day we might know a lot about GT5. Haven't we deserved it? After waiting so long for it!
I can't wait now, and I prefer not imagine how I'll be 3 days before GT5 to be released!

I suppose they'll show that at TGS then. Yes I was one of the hissy fits last night I'm ashamed to say. I've gotten over it now and my medication has started to work.
I do believe that if the release date isn't flashed up at the end of the presentation tonight, we won't know it by the end of the week either.

Anyways picked up a DFGT last weekend to ease any worrys.

...but why not show everyone that footage? Anyway, it may be something stupid. Such as a way to build hype in the media. Ya know, frisk everyone for recording equipment like its area 51 and show them exclusive stuff. PD's version of giving away an xbox.

But, I stick to my guns. I'll say that there are still potential bugs in the version they are showing at the closed door and do not want videos of it making its way to youtube. I can hear it now, "30 years in the making and the Ferrari's tires can't stay on the ground, hahahahhaha"

This is really more than a game for us. It's a passion.Let's hope Santa is going to give us the gift soon.
The insane 'thing' is that we are dying for having news. We'll probably have the game during the fall or even later (maybe we talked too mauch about Christmas... they heard us..), this explain it all, I think.
