The economy has been rebalanced. With the increased number of races in the game and more Chmpionships being added in place of Single Race events, there will be more money to go around, but the early game will be tighter on Credits than the vanilla game. Prize cars are all useful now, and I made it so the game can be finished without ever having to buy a car, so you'll also need less money to progress.
Looking forward to the mod!! Will there be a beta before it releases? Also, how much would a round of... for example, Dream Car Championship being won would net out, please?

Glad you're looking forward to it!

There will be no pre-release version, it will come out when it's finished.

I don't remember exactly how much each Dream Car Championship race will award the player, and the prizes are still subject to change anyway, but these late game extreme events will award around 50-100k per race + a fat championship bonus at the end, and there are more of said races. Several Special Event prizes were nerfed, though, to be more in line with the rest of the game, and to match the license required to unlock them.

I've been playing GT5 almost exclusively in B-spec for 10 years. I find it really interesting to watch these races when the drivers are really competitive. I've been trying to modify the game for two years, but GTToolsSharp doesn't work on my PC at all. That's why I'm waiting for someone to do it for me. If you send me the decrypted files, I could do it on my PC, but I need the files already decrypted. If you want to help me, I'll do something that anyone can use.

I may look into B-Spec at some point, but my focus is currently on A-Spec events. It shouldn't be hard to port most changes, but some of them may not translate well, and testing them will take a significant amount of time, so the plan is to release the mod with only A-Spec changes initially, and update the B-Spec mode in the future.

Hello! I have a progress update on Gran Turismo 5 Evolution.

A new car has been added to the game, the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX /Tuned, seen in Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, and restored from the GT5 UK 1609 QA build.

A new event has been added to the game, the Gran Turismo World Rally Championship. This 5 race event will be held on PS2 and PS3 rally tracks, the latter of which were only ever used for time trials in the game. This event replaces NR-A Roadster Cup, which is still represented in the game in the form of the Roadster 4-Hour Endurance.

On the subject of rally, the Gran Turismo Rally Special Event has been shortened, with the Intermediate and Advanced levels having 4 and 6 Special Stages, respectively. The Advanced level now has a Performance Point limit and opponents tuned around it. Collision penalties make way for Mechanical Damage, which will test the player's skill to finish each stage without crashing. Mt. Aso now hosts Tarmac rally stages.

The Gran Turismo Karting Experience Special Event has also seen significant changes, with new races across the board. To enhance the feeling of progression within this event, the Beginner difficulty will use the Racing Kart Jr. (given to the player at the start of the save), which will award the Racing Kart 100, for use on the Intermediate difficulty, and that will award the Racing Kart 125, used in the Advanced level.

The inclusion of more races to this event was made possible thanks to the recently reverse engineered and recompiled GT5 GT Mode scripts, which allows for bigger changes to the game. The OpenAdhoc GitHub has more information on reverse engineered GT scripts, which enable in depth modifications to the games.

The off track, pylon hit and collision failure conditions have been disabled from the Top Gear Test Track Special Event.

Still on the topic of Special Events, the Sebastian Vettel X Challenge will now use the Red Bull X2011 Prototype, and it will be equipped with Racing: Super Soft tyres. This should make the extremely difficult Gold times slightly more accessible for most players.

You are no longer forced to buy a car to start your journey, once you retrieve your Racing Kart Jr. at the start of the game, you are free to enter licenses and get your starter cars that way, instead.

The Endurance Series unlock progression has changed. New Endurance Races will be unlocked with each license you acquire, offering big rewards and incentivising the player to engage in these events throughout the game, instead of them being available only in the late game.

Work on the updated text strings is being done, with English and Portuguese already finished, while Spanish will be worked on. If anyone is interested in working on different languages, let me know so I can help get started.

The Garage scene has been changed, with a different background and camera angles that better show off the car model. It has been borrowed from the Dealership scene when you select the car's colour before buying.

Testing is constantly being done to find and fix any and all issues ready for the release, assuring the experience is smooth and all changes work as expected.

Remaining work includes lots of testing, designing new event flyers for the 3 new events, writing a read-me, a changelog and making an install and setup tutorial, as well as any other ideas that may come up to add to the mod. While progress is being made, there is still no ETA, one will only come closer to the release.

Thanks for showing interest in Gran Turismo 5 Evolution, I hope this mod can deliver a fresh GT5 experience.

Absolutely fantastic content!! This mod is gonna be a true delight to play! Edit: Super Soft Tires on the Redbull X?? Did these get scrapped in the game's development and re-added in the GT5 Master Mod and GT5 Evolution mod?

The Racing Super Softs were made inaccessible, but are still present in the game and can be used if you equip a car with them, be it through save editors, SpecDB modifications or event XMLs.
