Yeah, but honestly, I don't know who to ask for help; I've been trying to fix this all day and I still don't know how to sort it out—the championships are acting weird.
You can just post your issue there without asking anyone in particular, people will see your message and respond.

Just wondering, Erik, how will B-Spec function in GT5 Evolution? Will the amount of laps be closer to A-Spec than the Original game?

I haven't worked on B-Spec yet, but the number of laps will depend on how I balance the events and how good/bad the B-Spec driver is at overtaking. Also, I plan on changing the tracks for the B-Spec version of most events, so the lap count will probably be different regardless.

I already find B-Spec boring as is, and when they make every race double the length, it's even more boring, but at the same time, I understand why they did it as otherwise it would be difficult for the driver to make their way through the pack.

In the end, I realized it wasn't actually a problem. The original game only awards points to the top 10 finishers, so if the bottom 6 have zero points, the game places them all in the same position. I'm currently testing the mod and have already released the first version on Discord; I'm also working on another version where all B-Spec drivers will have maxed-out stats upon reaching level 40 as should have been the case from the start. Additionally, I'm fixing the 24 Hours of Le Mans event; the original game had three driver swaps, which caused the AI to get fatigued and pit every single lap after a few hours of racing, so I changed it to four driver swaps.

A month ago, I was also working on modifying events and creating new ones. But something went wrong, I don't know what, and every time I tried to load the new data onto the PS3, the game wouldn't launch, and I couldn't even restore the game. I had to reinstall the entire game at least four times, which took me three days. I'll never do it again. I don't want to reinstall all the updates every time; it takes too long. I'll wait for other mods.

Hello! I've been thinking about removing all the regional dupes from the Used Car Dealership in GT5 Evolution, but I wanted to gauge people's opinions on this change. Basically, the Yarises, MX-5s/Miatas, 350Zs etc would be removed and the Vitzes, Roadsters and Fairladys would be kept.

The disadvantage would be losing access to these dupes in the game, the advantage is that most of these dupes are just rebadges and renames. This would clear up about 100 spots in the UCD which would then allow for more unique models to show up.

Yes please, I would love for the regional dupes to be removed! If it adds room for more content then even more of a yes from me!

Honestly, I sorta don't mind either choice. If you want to keep these regional duplicates for people to try out in this mod, but at the same time try differentiating them a bit more according to irl specs, then keep the regional dupes.

But if removing them would provide the benefits that you pointed out, and also free up a lot more space in the mod, then feel free to remove the regional dupes.

I kinda don't mind if the regional dupes are kept or removed in GT5 Evolution.

Some regional dupes had incorrect specs that I corrected, and if their specs were different between regions, then they weren't "dupes" to begin with. Removing them will certainly open up more room in the UCD for actually unique models to show up.

this is such a good idea!! and if you're keeping the debug menu from the master mod, then we can still add them to our garages, so for those who really want to, they can still have all versions!!

i think you could even take it a step further and remove the dupes that have very similar, but not identical specs, and give them back through b-spec, and perhaps make them special by giving them a cool upgrade or something that the 'normal' versions can't have.

p. s. and another thing - i think removing unique cars from ucd and ncd would be a good idea too, to make those winnable only cars, like in gt3/4 :):)

Some of the regional dupes don't exist either, like Japan only spec Miata's being rebadged MX-5 in the game when no MX-5 variant of that spec existed. I can see the advantage of streamlining the UCD.

Hi Erik, just out of curiosity—with the mod you're making, do you also find that custom events don't have a Gold, Silver, or Bronze cup record? I'm currently working on my own mod, and I have absolutely no idea if that can be fixed.

It can be fixed two ways, by updating the database table version in the Adhoc code or by deleting the system.db file and starting a new save. These two alternatives sorts out any issues pertaining to adding/editing events.

Se puede solucionar de dos maneras: actualizando la versión de la tabla de la base de datos en el código Adhoc o eliminando el archivo system.db y guardando de nuevo. Estas dos alternativas resuelven cualquier problema relacionado con la adición o edición de eventos

How can I make ad-hoc modifications? I’ve looked for information on it but have no clue, and I’m not really getting much help on Discord either. Since you know more about this than I do, could you explain it to me here—or via private message on Discord—when you have the time? I’m really desperate and I tried deleting system.db, but it didn't work; I'm still not getting the gold cup even after finishing first.

Should I start a new game by deleting system.db and having my mod installed in addition to the master mod? sorry for reply 2 messages

I pinged you on Discord, check it there. I'm happy to help but this thread isn't for general modding help, it's for Gran Turismo 5 Evolution.
