Yeah that would suck. Hoping they phrased the sentence wrong with regards to the wheels. Hopefully you can change the sizes in premiums but not in standards, but still be able to change the wheels or something like that. It would be rather stupid to not be able to change wheels when we could in previous versions.

As for the painting, it says you will need a paint item? Is this a unlockable paint colour or what? Anyone know? Did I miss something?

In the Trophy List there was one that said "Collect All 256 Colours", but we don't know how they are earnt yet...

I cant remember getting a front splitter in GT4 but I can remember adding a rear wing to my cars.

in gt4 you can only change wheels and install a rear spoiler...

Well, the front splitter was invisible in GT4, but you could adjust it after fitting the rear wing. Maybe it will be visible. Should be possible on at least some cars, I think.
 
Looks slick the way the car appears, I was under the impression that the car delivery would take several "in game" days, maybe for the more exotic models, maybe not.

Did the spoiler/wheels improve the performance of the cars in GT4?

The time they took to add a guzzied up F430 could have been used to add one of the many important Ferraris such as the 365 GTB/4 Daytona or 250 GTO. Even the new 599 GTO would have been a better choice. This car will behave the exact same way as the F430. It is just a reskin. Like changing the color of a character sprite and calling it a new character.The interior is the same as a F430, the sound is the same as an F430 and so is the performance.

Also noticed that "standard issue wheels cannot be painted".
 
The mods need to keep an eye on this thread and remove the duplicate video posts because this is getting silly with so many people reposting the videos.
 
At the end of the car delivery video, a new colour item is unlocked. So it seems you unlock it with car's, I wonder if you unlock the colour of the car you just won?

Sounds reasonable. And you'll be probably able to use it on other cars afterwards.

Yeah, that was the first thing I noticed when he clicked on the Zonda. I always enjoyed reading the history of certain cars/manufactures.

Oh and about that "Level Restriction", I'm sure it's something familiar to the license test experience points. The better position you come in at the finish of a race the more points you are awarded. The more points you're awarded the more you level up? I guess they're trying to stop people from buying higher class cars for lower class races? or from doing many lower class races?

Well, the levels might just be something to replace the Performance Point System from Prologue with. Limitting which cars can be used in a certain race while at the same time limiting how powerful the driver may use in general...

I don't see that many reposts to be honest.. One or two in quick succession but they are all new videos not videos from 5 pages ago. Most reposts the posters are editing. Everyone is just trying to help, it's not like the general news thread with people posting video's from 5 months ago.

Anyway, I kinda like the whole level thing. It hopefully stops you from buying an outrageously quick car too early. Or winning one like in the GT4 special events and the game becoming too easy from that point on.
 
I somehow get a great feeling of unjustice from these videos.
those guys are allready enjoying the game and the rest of the world dont even have a release date yet.

I just hope they got the copies in a legal way (review) and just are breaking the embargo
 
So judging by the Z3 M Coupe at the 2 minute mark on the Deep Forest video, all standard cars will be in the used dealership section of the game?

If you think it means that you can't change the wheels on a standard car, then yes, it indeed does mean just that.

I hope not cause that would mean a step back from GT4 - where almost all the cars could have the wheels/rims modified to your liking.

With Premium cars being so highly detailed and the wheels alone likely to have more polys than Standard models, then what you're thinking it means doesn't surprise me, if true. Strange if the GT4 wheel selection has been discarded, though.

In this vid: "You acquired the Sunburst Yellow paint item. The paint item you acquired can be used in GT Auto to paint your car's body or wheels."

Is this repair paint for this car, or can you use it on any car? Since the game has 256 colors it would seem that you can paint any car that color once you acquire it...
 
I find it very odd that you can put a body kit on a standard car, yet you can't put new wheels on it. Same for race mods.
 
In an old screenshot, we saw an R8 that was available to be repainted in McLaren Orange, so it seems to be that you can have a personal gallery of 256 colours to repaint any of your cars.

It seems so however I can't understand why there are so few cars at any one time, where's my Subaru 360?!!

That's the way I see it and in regards to wheels most of the changes I do are mostly to JP cars so hopefully there's a good portion of JP premium cars >_>;

It says not all cars can be race modded, so that means not all Premiums and possibly (probably) no Standards.

As for aero parts it's probably because the wings are still useable on the Standards, and the other parts could be added but not visible (i.e. just like the front splitter / diffuser package that was invisible but came with the rear wings in GT4.)

At least, those are my guesses.
