Is it possible if I could request someone at gamescom to find out something for me. What do the go karts sound like on tickover and throughout the rev range? I just want to know whether it is realistic or not. If this is possible I would be really pleased if not then thats cool you probably are really busy. ;)

There's a video on the official GT5 site of those karts where the sounds are clearer to an extend.
They do seem to have the distinctive two-stroke sound.

Dont comment like you can drive better. But WoW Zonda sounds almost like a race car and the acceleration is so quick.:)

, it is a race car, it isn't road legal as far as I know. But I'll have to agree, in all of the videos the R catched up the other cars as if they were mere toys, that Mine's R34 is an accelerating beast, even so, the Zonda made it look like a Suzuki Cervo and imposed a humilliation to it without any difficult.

Also, loving the all carbon-fiber interior. :D

Hey guys, alba and Denur here live from Gamescom. We have captured lots of videos and sounds at the GT5 booth all day today and with some editing it could give us a clearer picture about the whole sound business within GT5.

Unfortunately, in this demo there was no way to turn down the music so all the recordings we got has music in it but Im going to try to edit it out the best I can.

We have pretty much all the cars left out from footage on the net already... Like the Castrol Supra and the M5 and we even have karts sounds so yeah hopefully things turns out alright.

alba out, Denur in:
I would like to apologize beforehand for my louzy driving. Hate driving without sound. ;)
But got drive a lap with headphones (GTR) and I was pleased, the deep rumble is there.

We saw a nice thing with the AI when a kid was driving. He was doing a Shummy (park the car in a wall so no one can pass) and one of the AI cars eventually decided to back up, to make room to pass the car. Very nice.

Photo mode was in this build too, but without a controller, we couldn´t do much. Got some footage though.

So hello from alba and Denur live from Gamescom and we will try to get you the content from the show as soon as possible. Cheers!

Should probably be up tomorrow as I edit them and put them up on the GTPlanet youtube account. Until then, have a nice day!
can you see HD light on PS3 if is every blinking? this means that GT5 use a cache on HD to charge circuit sector in real time.

Thank alba,I'm so curious to hear the new GT5 Engines sound because it's the only aspect of the game that worry me a lot!!

Ok so I am back at the Sony booth where they have laptops with free internet. Andreas just left and we did like half an hour more of footage with my cable but at the playback all we got was some weird noises so I am not exactly sure why but perhaps he will figure it out when he gets back home. Me on the other hands on ön my laptop they all work, just need to boost the volume a bit. The TV volume was at max and yet you couldnt hear much due to the background noise.

So yeah, overall we have a lot of good footage and impressions so look forward to that. I will start editing the videos as soon as I get back home and hope to post them early tomorrow if possible.

The force feedback on this demo is so great. I did WRC with no assists and it is a pleasuere to fight the car and the wheel, it feels really good. Sadly most people hear do not know the difference between gas and brake and keep shouting because their car wont move, haha. It surprises me that most people here pick Nurb right away and most of the tiöe go with the R8 or maybe I shouldnt be.

Anyways I had tons of fun with Denur. thanks for the drinks buddy meeting him and Andreas, really cool guys. See you Sunday for content and next year here at GsmesCom!

Great to hear! Hey alba, don't be lazy, stay up all night like me and upload the stuff. Joke buddy, don't have to, I can wait!

I have no way to link this laptop to mine so no, you guys will have to wait tonight the earliest. I am about to leave in like half an hour so I think I will go spend some more time with the 3D build and see what it is all about. Damn qwerty keyboard on this laptop with no accents, impossible to write properly!!

I know that damage is not the most important thing in gt5. And all the vids we´ve seen so far are really really great and the game is still bought by nov 3rd, but ist there any new vid, showing some nascar damage? Would be nice, cause the last one was very nice but the video quality wasn´t the best.
Maybe one of alba´s new vids show something. I´m looking forward to.
But to all of you out there at gamescom - nice job and thanks for all these beautiful vids.

Looking forward to the quality videos, but I just realized GamesCom won't give us anything new anymore and that we'll have to wait for TGS, once again, wait for a conference to learn new things that after all are not that major. I'd just like to have the game!!!

Nice job alba! Many thanks for you and everyone at GamesCom. 👍

I'm really anxious to hear your impressions on the 3D build, mostly regarding the 30fps rate which influenced negatively the gameplay. Is it that bad? :(

Me too, I want to know more about that feature.

His vid is in 4:3 which, I guess, is why it looks squashed. If he sets the vid back to 16:9, everything should be back to normal...

Alex P ~ Do you usually play in the "chase car" view? I personally could never get the hang/feel of driving in that view. But you seem to be doing well enough 👍
And the Zonda looked super-twitchy... wow! Thanks for the vid!

Hi, yes I do play always in that view, just love to see the car while driving and I'm pretty fast, because I'm used to it.

Question regarding the Zonda R vid: Was damage turned on? Because the wing was out of shape towards the end of the video...

Yep, it was turned on, but as we already know, damage on street cars is not very harsh.

Hey Alex, did you play the 3D build? How it felt like?

No, unfortunately not, the waiting would be too long.

Great news.
Thanks for everything. :)

Venari played the 3D build. He described it as looking pretty much the same, but the dashboard of the XJ13 he was driving had incredible depth, with shadows being cast behind the wheel very clearly.

When I play race games in 3D on PC, it's very immersive. The road in ahead in front of the car looks flat, horizontal with a lot of depth. The dashboard has, like Venari said a lot of depht as well.

I guess that GT5 in 3D is practical the same? Right?

Venari did you test if you can adjust the 3D image? >> Convergence etc... .
