Alright, If we have to have one other than MOtC, I throw in Boston, Foreplay/Long Time...

Don't look at me funny, that's the title of the song.

The first section, you "Walk" (Close Camera panning scenes, showing dim reflections in the vehicles' paint, and, thus, their bodylines) through a garage of different cars, Ideally, representing different eras and types of vehicle, then, the garage door opens up on one vehicle (the one on the box cover, most likely,) and that car blasts out onto a race track as soon as the "Long Time" part of the song starts to play. the rest of the scenes are the typical race scenes. PD could probably cut the middle verse out if they're stressed for time.

and that's my GT5 NSTC-US Intro movie...If it has to be something other than Moon Over the Castle.

Since the original working title was Vision Gran Turismo, the only song I could think of that would be most fitting for the North American and European versions of GT5 is One Vision by Queen.:dopey:

Nice one, thanks. It's not bad, but I preferred the European one.

Personally, I think Muse should be on the intro, or in the game for sure. I've got two of their CD's and there's a load of tracks on them that make my foot push the accelerator harder.

Tends to draw attention to you when you're blasting in a Skyline :trouble:

I hope Masahiro will compose something, altough that could also just be for the Japanese release.

Dakota Star maybe?

I reckon that would be nice to have, imagine it with an F430 chasing a RUF RGT around Trial Mountain...

I'd like it if they just used Moon Over the Castle for every version.

I agree wit da furry but sony thinks europe and america dont like instrumental rock for some reason.

I like the Garbage song Danny posted though, they always remind me of the songs they had in GT1 and 2. I know it's a little cliche but for the western versions I wouldnt mind queens - dont stop me now, or the cover version by the vandals.

Heres the video for the Vandals version but it's a realy crap video.

Alright, I've listened to a few songs, and I think a nice shortened version of 'My lovers Box' by Garbage would be suitable for the opening music:

But for god’s sake, minimize the window when the video finishes downloading... I have no idea who these people are in the video, but it certainly aint Garbage. They also (clearly) copied U2's 'Even better then the real thing' video clip at the end. 👎 Come up with your own ideas... poofters.

It wouldn't surprise me to see feeder doing the intro for the PAL release again, they have after all been in GT1, GT3, GT4, perhaps GT2, and the intro for GT3 was a feeder song, but they currently haven't released a new album so who knows.

Four thumbs up. Including toes. ;)

For pete's sake, make the definitive release definitive. If Sony HAS to get lame radio friendly theme songs for the non-Japanese releases, at least give us the option to pick our opening video. I WANT MOON OVER THE CASTLE! Hey, the Blu-ray disc will have plenty of room. Sony should include ALL the music tracks from ALL versions of the Gran Turismos, and let us pick and choose what we want in our playlists. Including original tracks we record or import ourselves.

Another vote for keeping Moon Over The Castle untouched for worldwide release. It's time Sony realizes that ruining the intro movies and soundtracks is not going to increase the appeal of the game for the masses.

Besides that, that theme just gets me all warm and fuzzy inside. Fond memories, it brings. :)

Im pretty sure that the opening theme song and video are sort of "synched up" with each other so it would be hard to have the video with any random song that you may choose. I can see having the option to use your songs during the game because that's what id like too.

I don't think I've heard "Shut Up and Drive" before. Maybe on MTV's TRL (Total Request Live) I've heard it before. It would be an interesting diversion to feature a song like this to promote GT5 Prologue. If I get to hear it a lot more, I'll reserve my judgment. All I know about Rihanna is that she's beautiful. Young lady from the Barbados and discovered by Jay-Z.

Most of you know how I feel about music. Rock is usually the default genre of music for most people. I grew up with hip-hop music and discovered electronica later. There is some rock I like only as long as it isn't the usual trashy rock 80% (generalization) of Americans like. I do like the Boom Boom Satellites and Sun Paulo. These two mix electronica and rock beautifully. Sun Paulo's style is more rock than electronica. Still, nothing like hearing "I Against a Speed..." The Boom Boom Satellites know how to provide sick beats. Anyone who played a game featuring BBS's music know what to expect. You get a mix of rock with some unique and killer beats. I even pattern some of my own MIDI music with beats in the same style of BBS.

Maybe not as an intro song, but I've been hoping for Red Barchetta by Rush since I started playing GT. It'd be a great regular playlist track.

EDIT: Hell, their song One Little Victory would fit extremely well. Great driving song, and it's already been proven by being included on an older Need for Speed game.

Hmmm, interesting. was just about to say Junkie XL until I noticed Scandisk beat to it. Many might disagree, but I would say this song would be good for The North American intro:
