Gran Turismo 5 is getting better - What still needs fixing?

This is not a moan post, but rather a gathering of heads to see what other bugs / enhancements are needed before they start giving out DLC. Here is my list, post your top 5 please.


  1. AI always chooses the wrong tires in the rain.
  2. Need a save option for ASpec Endurance ( not all of us have the time, or want to leave the PS3 on for days! )
  3. Improve the rain effects and banding in tunnels or sky.
  4. Enhance the engine sounds.
  5. Have an online garage to buy and sell cars.

They would do some auctions of very rare cars
Online championships
Put some more premium today cars. Ex: 599 GTO, veyron must be premium and to put some special editions
AI needs to be more realistic: block you when overtaking.
Remove the 20M cr cap
 
1/4 mile drag strip with full working tree have a big parking lot or something where people can mess around before their paired up for the race. It would be extremely popular online.
 
More A-Spec events. Especially NASCAR and Formula. As well as the Ferrari Formula Cars. I also like the events like the first bonus races. Where you had to chase everyone down. With the limits of course. I loved to race those and catch up just before the finish. Very fun.

Or maybe a sort type of city map to mess up. Because a mix between GT5 en TDU2 would be cool, but GT is better :D But a parking lot would also be sweet, including a drag strip.
 
OK I love the game but boy it needs looking at, that last upgrade was a hit in my book but more is needed, it still feels like only half a game to me and second its lagging behind in a lot of ways to many of the other race/driving genre out there

1/ Sort out the lazy lifeless A1`s they don't race the tracks they just drive them

2/ Random weather pattens across the whole game and not just in a few races

3/ Bring back some of the tracks from previous GT`s like apricot and tahiti rd etc in fact why are all these tracks missing?

4/ subcategories in your garage for WRC and race cars etc

5/ more options in the pits IE car set ups oil changes etc

6/ more time change races day/night

7/ give us proper damage or don't bother with damage at all

8/ Lose this bumper car effect if you hit a car or barrier there should be consequences not just bounce off and be on your way

9/ sort out this standard and premier nonsense, all cars should be premier even if that means losing a few, I for one would sonner have 500 premier cars than 20%P & 80% S,

None of the above is a gripe just think for this day and age the above should now be the norm for this genre not the hoped for.
 
Tracks.................tracks and while they are at it, more tracks. I'm not talking about new tracks either but just polish up the old tracks that were taken away and put them back.

Agree with both points, I hit the 20million mark today for the first time and since then have probably earned another 3-4million which obviously doesn't count. I really cannot see a reason for the limit, it is the 1st GT game to have such a limit and hopefully it will be addressed sooner rather than later. If I want to go and buy 5 X1's from the dealership, I should be allowed if I have the money to do so.

And more RM cars would also be great, 17 out of over 1000 is very poor.

You can choose whether to save or not. Seriously what is it with you people and being against saving. Nobody in their right mind will stay up 24 hours, nor do I want my PS3 out of action for 4 - 24 hours at a time.
 
"Randomize drivers" option when adding drivers in b-spec remote racing since the friendslist is alphabetic when choosing drivers, so ID's with starting letters at the end of the alphabet end up at the bottom of hte list aka getting screwed over xp / cr whise.

Better Driving Force GT wheel support, like being able to turn off the force feedback completely.

I personally want more real world tracks as those are my favorites.

Saving between races in championships and in endurance races (I just don't have to time).

Better organization for the garage (WRC, Touring Cars, Street Cars, etc.)

And (this is something I would really like) point to point races using the course builder, kinda like the rally special events

People want to save in endurance races because they dont want to play hours on end ...
you struggle to play 10 mins in a row? wow you need to get another game mate GT5 isnt for you 👍

lol I agree , save after 10 laps you are joking right?

Im not to fussed about 24hr races but I for one would love to see more 40/60/80 lap races.
 
I think he's referring more to being able to save in the middle of a championship series... It would be nice to be able to run 3 races of FGT after work on one night, the other 3 the next night. But I guess that's what weekends are for, eh?
 
The collision sound bug is still in there after the 1.06 patch. Anyone else notice that sometimes after a collision a loud buzzing noise will start playing? Sometimes it fades away after a minute or so, or sometimes it will last til you quit from the race, or sometimes just keeps getting louder and louder! Really annoying.

That would actually be pretty cool. Be like in the Fast and Furious where it's sort of like a festival and you drive your car up to the line race and go back, although it's kind of out of GT5s comfort zone so to speak, so it's unlikely.
 
One click buying and or shopping cart for the tunning shop. Although they did make it a lot faster with 1.06

+1. Also, sort out the B-Spec AI bug at Monaco where it can't detect the wall at Nouvelle Chicane. I do not understand how that slipped past beta testing, since it's the primary overtaking spot on the whole track. Acutally, the whole B-spec AI needs improving. The level of incompetence even fairly senior experienced driveras have is just depressing.

I just realized there is no GT Driver's Club that was mentioned in the news section of the game. I really hope it appears in the next update, along with matchmaking hopefully.
