This is a Playstation 3 Gran Turismo 5 theme.

Looks great ! 10 backgrounds? Cool, do they change every time you turn on PS3? Or you have to do it manually ?
 
Isn't that theme the one Alba made and updates every once in a while?
 
Wow it's pretty good. I'm gonna use it.

I do have a complaint though. I'm all for giving people credit for their work, but even though this one is small and hidden in the bottom, I hate logos.

I was already using Albas theme with that background, only mine doesn't change.
 
I'm not really understanding the purpose of this topic. Is this guy claiming alba's work as his? Or is he showing off the screenshots he watermarked and used as wallpapers on his PS3?
 
Can I remove the "DotCody" mark?
 
I really like Alba's theme a lot, been using it for [wow] years :)

No, you dunce, I grabbed some screenshots from this site that a friend pointed out and I re-sized them and filtered them. Then I put them into a .p3t file along with some Gran Turismo icons.

Do you guys find it necessary to hijack my topic?

The only problem is that these "Gran Turismo icons" are apparently the work of another GTP member and we don't see credit for him anywhere.

And by the way, if this is the same thing as Alba's, and this theme has been available for years, then how did this theme acquire the screenshots that were released within the last few weeks? It doesn't add up.

As you can see, I'm talking about the icons. The XMB icons. If you took them from him it's only fair that you give him credit at the very least.

Sorry if the icons seem alike, I didn't know, I found them through an internet search.

Now there's no reason to be mean about it. He made this himself on his own time. As for the icons, they were out there on the internet, without anything telling him that he has to give credit to this person. Anything out there is fair game. Welcome to the 21st century.

How the hell is this the #1 Gran Turismo fansite in the world? It must be self-proclaimed, with forum members like this.

What people are getting at is you need to give credit to Alba for creating the icons you used in your theme, instead of claiming them as your own.

Alba's work has been uploaded in places other than GTPlanet which explains the "found it on an internet search" deal. It's just common courtesy to give kudos to Alba for his hard work because it made your work better than it would've been had you not used his icons.

Also, I wouldn't have the link in the sig if I was you, content on your blog violates GTPlanet's AUP.

Face it dude, you're getting called out and now you're waffling. Sure, you might have found it on a theme site from someone who jacked it from someone who jacked it from Alba. There is nothing wrong with you using, what you have been informed are, Alba's icons in your theme. You may have helped to evolve it into becoming better. But, you took a defensive posture instead and now you are being pile driven for that position.

Now, we are just driving the point of PLAGIARISM not being tolerated on the web or "in real life".

Me personally, I like what you did with it. When one is corrected, it is better to have a spirit of humility rather than strife.
