Not impossible even without Michelin. Pirelli Sr3vhas been gone since GT Sport but the new 296 GT3 still has them by default.
Just remembered the Viper had no branding for the white livery and it has Pirellis on the red livery. Weird.

I would like some clarification in the words I heard in the presentation of the Hyundai Elantra N TCR.
Joon Park, head of Hyundai N Performance Brand, said "the Elantra N TCR will be available in the next DLC for Gran Turismo 7"
I want to know is the term "DLC" mean update or paid download content?
Thank you.
He probably made a "small mistake" and called it a DLC, instead of free update (some people do call free updates DLCs, so I assume that's why he used that term). Considering every non-fictional car they added to GT7 was from updates, I don't see why it would change now.

Also, the way the head of Hyundai N phrased it implied the Elantra TCR was coming sooner (next update), rather than later. Would they release a paid DLC so soon after the Power Pack? Maybe, but considering it's PD, I seriously doubt it.

I hope this collaboration with Hyundai brings not only more cars, but also a real racetrack from South Korea, such as Inje Speedium, whose characteristics make it clear that it seems to have been designed by PDI engineers.
Also Kia cars to the game (as a brand thst is part of the Hyundai group) like the Stinger GT, EV6 and Forte GT/K4 GT Line

Seems the Elantra was the only big-ish announcement at the Finals; a bit of an anticlimax after LA. Was at least expecting a Dunlop event to replace the Michelin TTs we had a few years back, especially with the Dunlop-liveried Porsxhe on display at the venue.
Well I mean, LA was teasing towards that massive Spec III Update. There was no update of similar size for Fukuoka to have in terms of announcements by comparison.

I've picked Hyundai for Manu before, and their current Gr4 car is, well... bad. Hopefully this car can bring some life to the manufacturer.

Article for the car from Hyundai plus confirmation of the car coming in the January Update.

Not sure why they continue to push Hyundai N cars. All this hype about the Hyundai N car being a hot hatch weapon. Ive driven two now at the track and was super underwhelmed.

Maybe im comparing to my renault megane RS Trophy but the Megane ran rings around it in every aspect and that's a 2013 car.
I never drove a Hyundai N for comparison, but my wife did have a then new 2013 Megane Trophy+. Even with the heavier glass roof, that thing was quick and handled extremely well. Visited Phillip Island circuit, but we didn't run it on the track.

Oh fantastic man! You definitely need to try it on track one day. Its simply phenomenal.

Tuned at 380hp at the wheels. Not much can keep up with it.

Is there a chance Hyundai instead of Genesis might become a GTWS "partner"? Or both?
If they want a GTWS "immunity" they would need a new Gr.3 car. But with what, though? A GT300 (Evo/WRX Gr.3, or Crown MC GT300)/Grand-Am GX (Atenza) styled Elantra, or a racing version of the Vision N 74?

I appreciate the fact that Hyundai will be part of GT Cafe also. Probably not for a dedicated Race Menu unfortunally but that’s already something.

Have the menu books ever just included just 2 cars?

Love they will add the museum, I enjoy reading these sections in the game.

This is amazing news and I think the gr3 & 4 car rosters are going to be amazing in gt8, I guess they are slowly bringing in completely new updated cars for the future 👌

Well to be fair the Elantra N is supposed to be capable on the track but also still be a reasonable daily driver and comfortable to live with.

The Mégane R.S. Trophy is a very hardcore hot hatch. That’s stripped out even over a base Mégane R.S. which is already the hot version. I think the TCR road edition of the Elantra N is a bit more of a direct comparison.

Also the tires you were on for either car make a huge difference as well. Most Elantra N’s I see are just being daily driven on standard street tires.

But anyways I’m super excited for the January update. I run custom races most of the time and I have all my FWD Gr.4 cars in their own TCR class, so I’m excited to add the Elantra into the grid!

I have a theory…
We could get a new VGT Hyundai N but have a race variant for gt3 like the Mazda. That way Hyundai could become a more competitive manufacturer for gtws. Now just a theory but could be logical and I feel like we will get more than two Hyundai car’s this year..

The Hyundai N VGT already has a race variant and it is - exactly the same as the Mazda VGT cited - a Gr.1 car.
