Decent update all things considered, new cars are fun (especially the Suzuki) and I like a bunch of the new engine swaps. I then decided to try the Fiat 500:

Minor "problems" that are nothing more than annoyances by decisions made to me.

Much like the CH-R, the CR-V can't really be modified in the engine department and it's equipped with a CVT. C'mon Polyphony, allow us to do engine swaps on these two and the ability to put a race transmission in them!

The engine sound on the Corvette doesn't sound great to my ears either.

Other than that I enjoy what we've gotten, a perfect "Gran Turismo" pack.

110GB download last night. 20Gb Download this morning. And then what's likely going to be a 2h copying-installing session.

By the time this update has finally been installed I doubt I will care anymore, and likely won't have chance to even try it until next weekend.

All for 4 cars?!

sounds like your console re-downloaded the whole game, mine took a few minutes..

I think I found a glitched build for the new Suzuki Carry KC ‘12.

Tuning it for the K car race, first of all it exceeded 400 PP then I started playing around with things and I built a new one and weirdly the more power and accessories I added to it the lower my PP became.

I pretty much maxed this thing out and I couldn’t even get to 380 PP on it. I saved a recording of what I did. I’m gonna have to produce a video.

Now to race it.

I’ll say Suzuki stocks are about to go up a thousand percent.

Looks like you got a bit carried away.
I‘m so glad we finally got the C5! Therefore I made Corvette Racing‘s liveries from the 2000 Le Mans 24h.

GET RID OF THE PRATT AND MILLER LOGO IMMEDIATELY BEFORE THEY SEND YOU A CEASE AND DESIST NOTICE!

Anyway having the C5 Corvette again just feels right. It's been an important part of GT since 2001 and driving it around very much reminds me of the past. However the car's performance doesn't feel like the past at all. It feels every bit as taught as the C6 and with a physics engine that's soo well dialed, you get an experience that GT3 could never provide. Oh and it sounds absolutely savage when fully tuned. I also need to talk about the 812, as it's a car I've been awaiting since the leaked car list was found. Does it deliver? I'll say yes it does considering the amount of power it produces. Naturally it doesn't have the sharpness of the F8 but it's still a solid piece of kit for what it is. The car has rear-wheel steering as standard - one of only a handful that do - which is nice. It's much better than the F12 which does lack a bit of feel in slower corners. The Suzuki Carry on the other hand is by no mean exotic or fast, but it is spry due to the small footprint. On Tokyo Expressway Central Anti-Clockwise it felt like a dishwasher because I was at full throttle for pretty much the whole lap. The quirkiness factor is what gets this nugget over the line for me. Moreover, I would like to see delivery missions in this game...

Forza Horizon is a very different game. If anything, it is a competition to Moterfest.

Tbh now that Forza Horizon’s on PS5 I’m not sure if these updates will be enough to pull me back into the game if they stay like this

Don’t get me wrong it’s nice that it’s free content but it just feels like there isn’t much purpose put into them especially once the main campaign is finished. Beyond logging into the game, buying the cars and driving them for a bit then letting the game gather dust until the next update I just don’t feel an urge to play. Right now I’m just wondering what the next game would be like

People don't like losing.
No. People, like me, didn't want to pay 9€ for playing with other people.

And i don't know why so many people do this.

The way I see it, it's a disgrace on Sony and Microsoft's part to charge for this.

First of all, I bought the game, so I should already be able to use it to its full potential.

Secondly, internet access is mandatory. So I have to pay for internet access, and since the game requires online access, the router also has to be running.

So I have to pay two extra things just to play a game.

On top of that, Sony and probably Microsoft still have the freedom to show me ads on my PlayStation, even though they rely on my infrastructure.

And that's exactly why I don't pay for PlayStation Plus. And maybe a few others don't either, and therefore can't play against others online like I do.

Not that I wouldn't like to, but it's not worth the money to me. Maybe for 99 cents a month just for online gaming. Then things would probably look different.

It's nice to see that PD added the Virtual Short Wheelbase 2.0 on the 812 Super fast.
Overall i really love riding with the 812 but I have few minor complaints about it :

The behaviour reminds me the bmw m3 e36 in gt7 with the same rear axle characteristics (meaning when the rear slidee it lacks of progressively)

And the display became very dark when the lights is turn on (a bit like the 430 scuderia) while the rest of the cockpit is way brighter.

Amusingly that’s still higher than ACC

The AI is so good in AAC I rarely race online as I've had some of the best racing against it on console, I race multi class and have all the DLC and can honestly say it's absolutely awesome. Just purchased the SF1000 ferrari wheel for my PS5 which works brilliantly with AAC as it has all the race info on the wheel screen so I can turn off the onscreen hud in cockpit view.

I started building out a Carry race for when we get the next update and the Carry gets Sophy support. I have 6 built now (all the liveries are on my profile).

Add all the power parts, and the light flywheel, and remove all the weight. The only power part I limited was the exhaust. I prefer the look of the small shorty pipe out the side. After adding the aero, I max the downforce (it helps with balancing the races). You should have a PP of 513.11 when you are done.

I set the antiroll bars to 8, the springs to 2.50, and the transmission to 200. Seems to work ok.

Here's a preview with regular AI (it's only 2 laps)

I know some will be SUPER upset at this comment, but this is a WAY better "racing car" addition than a GTP or some obscure supercar that I'll never use.

"People LIKE you" or YOU? You just get out or something? The subscription model is too far gone. Besides, you do realize you get a free full game(EDIT: My bad THREE free games!) with that every month, right? Quality may vary from full fledge AAA games to shovel ware but still. If you get one game you're interested in you got your money back. On top of that, those free games earn you points that can get you discounts on other games.

You nailed it. The free games are a huge bonus and more than justify the price. It's actually quite brilliant because I've gone and bought some of those games after I lost access, IF I lost access at all.

Weird cars is what has always made GT what it is. GT2 especially was chock full of kei cars and station wagons and all sorts of stuff nobody would ever consider racing but we did and it was fun.

Technically, you haven't bought the game.

You've bought a licence to play the game, which can be revoked at any time without warning.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but that's the state of the world we live in

Unless PD disable always online as a requirement, sooner or later the software itself will be unusable once the servers are shut down, aside from the offline stuff like music rally.

I was really excited for the CR-V; it's two years younger than the one that I own, and I can buy it in the same color. And the body kit looks pretty awesome. Then I raced it, and disappointment immediately set in. Fully upgraded, it tops out at 117mph, and it only has an automatic transmission, so it acts similar to full-fledged EV. It handled well enough, but that's kind of expected at such low speeds. The body kit looks cool, but it's entirely useless; there isn't nearly enough power on tap to warrant so much downforce. I would love to see an engine swap for this (and the CH-R and MX30), or some new types of modifications specifically for cars with CVTs and/or EVs, but I highly doubt we'll see anything like that in GT7's lifetime.

The Suzuki Carry, on the other hand, is everything I wanted the CR-V to be: a highly customizable sleeper that can be transformed into a competent in-class racer. I love all of the different body kit options, especially when you give it a wide body. And just looking through all of the styles that are being created really shows the range of this vehicle, from panel trucks and food trucks to drag racers and slammed drift cars. To me, this is where I think GT7 really shines, and I always appreciate new cars as they provide opportunities to take a normal, everyday vehicle and transform it into a purpose built race machine.

I still have to play around with the C5, but that's next on my list. I do know that my '02 Viper GTS with the Oreca livery while enjoy having a comparable rival in the C5, and I look forward to adding it to my GT1 grid.

It's on my list as well. I am building an Aussie Supercar Sophy race and I am throwing the C8 in there. I might throw a C5 in there as well.

And I agree with you on these decisions from PD. I am getting much more entertainment out of these additions.

Doing the new K-Cup race makes me have to question: Why on earth is this kind of racing completely missing from Sport Mode?

They're super fun to throw around at 400PP, you can race them quite easily, it's a unique sector no other game touches, it's super on-brand for the series. It solves the track repeating issue, because you can actually use tracks like Eiger and the short Maggiore layouts at this size of car. I'm not saying open tuning, I get that open tuning doesn't work for the GT online audience, but provide two or three 400PP tunes for each kei car and run a race in them every couple of months or so, it'd be super fun.

Man the C5 Z06 is such a wonderful thing. I personally love the C5 Corvette styling and the powertrain and chassis feel brilliant in the game. Its one of the more genuinely neutral feeling FR cars in the game. I drove the RC-F immediately after and it felt like a total mess. The best thing about having a C5Z, in GT7, is that you get all of the above but you don't have to deal with the stuff that would make me not want one in real life...the "I manage an Applebees" image, the flexy and rattley body-on-frame layout, the cheap fiberglass and plastic body panels, the fisher-price interior quality, the overly heavy controls, the straight up abysmal seats. I've driven a C5Z in real life and the "driving it hard" part is genuinely and utterly seductive....the other 80-90% of the time it's significantly less convincing.
