Just like the tracks most if not all cars would be transferred over and only a few will probably be replaced by newer/better versions. These lists are only going to be the new cars that might come. I’m doing them by region. Europe and Asia are coming...

Another nice idea from GT7 Menu Designs thread and inspired by TDUs is choosing official rims, official interiors, transmissions, and other details when buying cars, at least new/current ones. The ones no longer in production should go to UCD, and be randomized. But their rims, trims and so on should be available in GT Auto in some way. It really wouldnt surprise me if some of these aspects appear.

Yes that would awesome. Being able to spec out your own car would be insane.

I can see they will add more normal electric cars like the VW ID3 and Tesla Model 3 Performance
That what I was thinking some time ago
I'm wondering if electrification ill be a big thing in the next game.

No doubt Formula E, Robo cars, hybrid race cars, etc. Now, ETCR is the next big series to embrace electrification. VW & Audi have announced they won't be building next gen TCR cars. Audi did confirm they'll continue DTM and GT efforts. Still, with the next generation of GT players soon to grab controllers and wheels, it's an opportune time to expand the EV car lineup, as well as education.

Any thoughts on what historic concept cars PDI will treat us to this time around? Concept cars have always been an area where PDI truly surprise me. We've had some absolute humdingers in the past like the Dodge Copperhead, Ford GT90 and the Espace F1.

I've a hunch we'll see the Mercedes C111 this time around. A new entrant for 'The Passion of Dr. Wankel!'

Maybe the IROC concept.

People have too much faith in PD putting current/new cars in.

They rarely if ever have the latest super/hypercars in and GT Sport shows they rarely if ever have up to date racing cars either. The occasional manufacturer tie in gives us current stuff but aside from that PD car selection is a proper lottery.

This is one of my biggest complaints about GTS, but I’m pretty sure they’re aware of all the complains about the lack of current super/hypercars. They namedropped the Ferrari SF90 Stradale (and the F8 Tributo) in their survey semi-recently, I doubt they wouldn’t have brought them up if there were no intentions of bringing them to a future instalment

Not sure If I am the only one to expect this but, I expect alot from the current GT Sport car list to return (if not all of them).
A very reason I believe this is because I dont think PD would go and scrap all of the current data they currently have.
Because of the Pandemic Situation it will be difficult to travel around to scan new cars into the game but I do believe they have already been doing this for quite some time and since well there is outsourcing going on aswell.

My realistic expectations and very subtle: Some new GT3 cars, possibly some of the current GT3 lineup.
A quite few of returning premium cars updated for the PS5 system. Possible some new updated standard cars depending on how they are able to get to scan cars or not. VGT cars or future vision concept from manufacturers. And If I am more optimistic we will also probably see returning brands from previous GT or new brands that has never been in GT.

Total Car list: 500 cars is what I want to expect but realistically will be at the 400 mark or 350+ cars.

Some of the returning tracks/circuit from all the GT Sport updates: (I will not be too surprised if SPA will have the same licensing issues, tho I hope this is not the case), Laguna Seca, Fuji, Redbull Ring, Monza, Interlagos, Nurburgring and so on.

I want to be again optimistic and say we would have Dynamic Time transition for the majority of the tracks with weather effects but Ray tracing is much talk feature since their last presentation and this could take alot out of the hardware even with the cabalities of the SSD. So realistically I expect something in the lines of Dynamic Global illumination to a certain degree and not full time of day and with weather effects to put even more strain on the hardware itself. Lets face it fellas even the best GPU card on the market now struggles to maintain 4k 60 FPS with Dynamic Ray tracing.

I'm thinking we'll see a bigger presence from Hyundai. They've ramped up many current projects and are a real Motorsport force.

The GR.1/3/4 cars, are a pretty good representation for when the game debuted. I think their new line up of N-cars, will look smart in GT7.

Having given track a bit of thought, I predict that the next installment will have at least one new city track in a city that may not have appeared in a Gran Turismo previously.

This has nearly been a trend throughout the series with GT6 the only mainline game not to introduce a new city or city circuit.

So, where to next?:-?

Felt like having a go at a prediction list myself - this only includes cars that weren't in GT Sport.

I added more to my list, I also included a DLC tag to indicate what cars I think will not be in GT7 at launch, but could come as DLC. I'm using GT Sport's DLC cycle as an indication.
Assuming they don't update the visuals much, most of the cars in GT Sport will return.

They will probably continue revising more premium cars from GT6.

Can they finally give a up to date Car list.

I mean we got many old models for cars in GT Sport, remember GT4 where there were soo many new cars which you never even knew about hidden and unlocked in a hard race. That felt special to me.

Given that PD are 'outsourcing' now I'm hoping that changes. There's soo much PD can do to make GT7 epic.

You have to think when they made the cars and with the work force they had at the time. WHen GTS was first being shown, the oldest car, was the '09 Lotus Evora. A bit of discussion was happening about there being no "old" cars in the game.

The game is slightly delayed to 2017 and we have road and race cars from 2011-2016. Again, some race cars weren't even available(GT4 Mustang, M4 GT4, etc). 6 months to model a car and we now have newer cars from 2018-2020.

Having more newer cars in the past GTs, it's been said, came down to the ease of modelling on those systems. Maybe with the outsourcing we've been reading about, more up to date cars, as current as when the game comes out, is possible.

I’m thinking that the track and car roster might be shared in GT7, I’m wondering if the games will have an overlap and keep the sport servers running for longer than they have with past games.

Trying to think of contemporary road cars from all major manufacturers. I think I've got most covered in my original post but I'm open to suggestions.

Added the Nissan 400Z (tentative name) as possible DLC based on the recent GTPlanet news article.

If they have a Jimny, I will literally cry with happiness

I think SEAT will make a return. Cupra is a brand now, but seeing PD usually have models about two years earlier than the game debuts, could be SEAT Cupra TCR and a road car.

Another connection with VGA: Skoda. Could be a new brand added. Small cars as in the Fabia RS/VRS. Their Octavia RS wagons are good as well. The WRC car is pretty flash. That's a possibility.

Audi RS3 and RS5(2-door), I'd expect those to be in GT7.
Return of the ur-Quattro, in Super ultra hyper Premium HD 4K 8K spec

Lada? Maybe.

Just an off the wall thought. The NISMO Patrol and NISMO Juke R. I could see PD surprise us with these two.

Return of the Ford Falcon GT(FG X model though)

These thoughts are only if the game is trying to be as big a and diverse as GT2 & GT4.

I shall now make my own prediction, based on some confirmed ones, and lots of the ones that fit in some kind of criteria. Lets say that only Porsche, Lambo VGT remain to be added plus other 12 by the end of the year. If not those 12 are IMO most likely to appear.
Lexus LF-A - either one or both versions. Toyota just appears in every update, besides 2 last ones and Audi VGT one, and Lexus could service Toyota and be that obligatory Japanese return.
Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing - highly requested and sought after in community.
Ferrari 500 Mondial - It was meant to be in GT6 but was axed. I think that its being put on hold.
Nissan GT-R50 Italdesign - Its a GTR and yet unique enough to get added.
Ford Sierra RS500 - a highly requested car, only behind Supra and E30.
Mercedes-Benz 190E Evo II - returning standard
Plymouth Cuda - muscle cars are requested and this seems most likely
Toyota GRMN Vitz - its Japanese, bonkers and Toyota,
Mitsubishi FTO - only this and SL55 remain out of Kazonuri Yamauchi owned cars
Mazda RX8 - either the 2007 one, or facelift one
Honda Civic tuned - scanned SEMA car
some kind of new japanese racecar, like very new, for example GT500 '19 or '20 one(s).

Now onto the predictions for next game. I think that, 3 times more cars like GT2 vs GT1 is impossible. So i was inspired by new cars for GT6 at launch comparing to GT5 and 3 years of gap, there have been new 150, around 50% new premiums. So I will predict there will be no more than 200 new cars if including outsourcing. This list is very top off my head, including many cars in making (SEMA, Pebble Beach etc), very relevant GT series cars, and some future cars. Out of 200, I will pick 50% premiums returning, 25% returning standards and PS1 era cars, 25% totally new ones. Also those cars above aren't just GTS update predictions, but also predictions for next game if they don't come to GTS (which is very likely IMO).

Returning premiums.

Long post incoming! Here’s what GT7/8 would look like with all the possible cars/tracks that I mentioned and with all GT Sport content mashed together. Seems HIGHLY unlikely. Will all these cars/tracks make it? No. Is this a wish? No. Was it a great time killer? Yes. All this content makes it look like a proper GT...

Since there are lines for Deep Forest and Tokyo R246 for GTS, I would not be surprised if those 2, together with Ascari and Silverstone come to GTS. If not then it GTnext content.

Here are the predictions for the tracks, I predict no more than 20 circuits (not locations), also add above tracks as a priority:
Kart Space I
Kart Space II
Trial Mountain
Grand Valley Speedway Long
Grand Valley Speedway Short
Tokyo West or some other geographical side lol
Apricot Hill
Midfield Raceway
Monza 80s
Le Mans Bugatti
Twin Ring Motegi West Short Course
Twin Ring Motegi East Short Course
Twin Ring Motegi Road Course
Twin Ring Motegi Super Speedway
Monaco/Cote D'azur
Pikes Peak
Driving Park
High Speed Ring
Brands Hatch 80s
Brands Hatch Indy 80s

Long post incoming! Here’s what GT7/8 would look like with all the possible cars/tracks that I mentioned and with all GT Sport content mashed together. Seems HIGHLY unlikely. Will all these cars/tracks make it? No. Is this a wish? No. Was it a great time killer? Yes. All this content makes it look like a proper GT...

My friend, this is the most spot-on GT7 car list prediction I've seen. Except for just a couple of cars, I could easily believe this was kind of a leak or something.
