Do we know if the cause of the large spread of the field in the power pack races is due to the slower cars being detuned or is it some behavior outside of the specs?

It’s a good system when dealing with users who have a wide range driving ability/experience as one has opponents to battle even if you spin/crash - I’m concerned PD might think that is the direction custom races ought to go too.

Ideally the language they had about adding a more difficult setting for the power packs is referring to a more realistic opponent situation vs all the other ways this could be enacted.

I think a decent way to use the power pack now would be to get a class/era appropriate car you aren’t too familiar with, enter into race 1, see how it goes, tune it up based on how it went, enter race 2 same series, repeat again for race 3 - kind of a mini tournament thing, you get your tickets etc, and since it doesn’t rely on getting on the podium for the reward, you can make sure you car isn’t too fast and hopefully slot in a good spot where there will be lots of wheel to wheel.

No idea. It's likely the nerfing of the AI in the Power Pack. It used to be a significant challenge to get 2 peppers, and now it's a cake walk.

Reggie is halfway decent at Sugo, at least over 5 laps.

My first run on the track had a good race, though I was of course not familiar with the track. But even when I got the hang of it a bit, still going wide at times and not taking optimal lines, I didn't mince them. And that was with my ECU at 100%. I was using a non-BoP Gr.3 RX Vision Evo so maybe the lack of BoP flattered the AI.

Oh, I forgot to mention what those cars are in the video. They are all maxxed Mercs. Some have the V8 swap (and you can hear it), some have the medium turbo, and some have the high turbo. They all end up more or less at the same PP. They all have 100 ECU, and 200 ballast (after removing all the weight).

That leaves them around the same weight and around the same power.
