It's close for me lol. I start in 10th most times and often finish around 10th or a bit high up. I mostly do 5 lappers recently with a close rolling start. Probably different with longer races though. However, even boost on weak only does so much if you're quick.

i start last with grid start the laps i do depends on 26.2 divided by the distance of the track sometimes i round up to the next lap.

i gained a humongous lead after 1 lap due to the other cars running out of fuel there was a yellow flag in front of me from a faster ai slamming into a slower ai leader

it felt like a traffic simulator or frogger trying to dodge cars that were out of fuel.

I'm in the minority lol. I don't dislike rubber banding, I just want a close race. I do understand that in a sim game, it's not the best, but I'll take it any day over being too far ahead.
Well, I've been in too many heated debates about this. We all love the rubber band, which is why we use weak boost, but most have made "rubber band" hatred part of their identity. But true rubber banding should not exceed the performance envelope of the car.

That's where the pit stop boost is an issue. I have to admit, I also dislike it because it breaks the immersion. If the AI simply ran better to catch up, I'd be ok with it and I think everyone else would be as well.

Well, we’ll see what the next evolution of SOPHY brings. I’m sure we’ll see the fruits of it in Custom Race settings. Seems like it’ll be separate to Power Pack. The 🌶️ x10 option will be interesting. Hope it’s not just trying to beat 500bhp SOPHY cars with a 100 bhp car.

Ya, I'm hope they've overhauled the boost given all the complaints. I'd rather Sophy is consistently fast all the way up and down the field. 10X is probably a return to the original power pack difficulty.

I'm expecting a straight Sophy 3.0 implementation for the full game: Rain, standing starts, more tracks. HOPEFULLY there's some additional surprises.

As always, my benchmark it Sport Mode. IMHO the 10X option should be like driving against a field of A+ players. Right now, its a few A's at the front, a mid field of B's, and a back of the pack of C's

there will sometimes be stragglers in the back of the field that are so slow you can pass them before the race ends

Big shake up to the Championship after K. Ritter binned it during the second stint of the race, only getting 1 point for pole position
