Anyone know if Sophy can drive the new Afeela?
Probably not. Takes a while for them to make new DLC cars compatible. Still waiting for the C5 Corvette.

So my Sophy V8 series was supposed to be at Laguna Seca this weekend, but I did a test race there and it's slow. So I decided to drop that track and jump forward to Road Atlanta which is much better for Sophy.

Here are the qualifying results for Sunday:

It doesn't seem there's much effort to fill in the custom race car gaps.

I get that the new cars need training but Sophy still can't drive, i.e., the 300ZX '89 on Suzuka, and it's been what, 5 months?

Big boo-boo by yours truly. Was gung-ho on testing out an Afeela one make custom because the one car I used for the new race at Road Atlanta handled pretty good. So bought 10 of them and did the livery thing. Only to forget and realize that PD doesn't really allow customs for these special cars. So now I have 10 Afeelas all ready for nothing. Good thing I hadn't gone the full 20 yet! Maybe one day we'll be able to before GT8 comes out, please!

Don't get me started. The 3.0 CSL and 512 BB still don't work at the Nurburgring yet and that's half the field of one of my custom races.

I'm really disappointed that nothing was added for Sophy in this update. At the very least, I thought they would have added the Suzuki Carry

Yeah I'm pretty disappointed, really sucks there is no communication with the devs for this game so when they make moves like this you have no idea if they will get back to work on it next update, next year, or GT8. Hope we get back on track next update.

No live stream for the V8 series from me today, I have some things I need to do out in the 108*F heat.

I'll likely do it tomorrow which is a holiday for US. Same time as last week.
All good. Too busy today too with our city's arts and wine festival. lol Will catch it sometime tomorrow!

I'm going live here shortly, about 30 minutes early so I can run some errands afterwards. I'll edit this post with the link.

Edit: Here we go!

Edit 2: Thanks for those who joined! I purposely made the race a little shorter due to having a lead car pit at the end of the last lap during my test race. But I guess the Mustangs just get terrible fuel mileage because even with the shorter race they still pit twice. Other than shortening the race more, not sure what I can do about that. Maybe just take fuel out of the picture and force them to pit for tires...

Either way, here are the updated points standings after Road Atlanta:

Great racing from the back. You showed Jan how to overtake that Vette. Good choice for a track switch too. I like racing RA with Sophy.

Interlagos next, they're pretty good there too.

Also been testing for my next custom race series, which will be a GT4 series where Sophy will use Gr.4 class cars and I will be in a modified Nissan Z. In the limited testing I have done so far, seems like it will be pretty good.

I am live for Round 3 of the Sophy V8 Series at Interlagos.

Edit: Race went well, pulled off my first win. Curious on what others think about the whole rabbit car or pace car thing, because it seems to work for the most part, but I still feel like the AI cars are slowing down when I make my pit stop. A quick check on the replay shows they are still using full throttle down the straightaways, but I always jump a few cars and make up a lot of time to the leaders during my stop which I would prefer not to.

I think for the next race I might simulate having to slow down to pit road speed before the entry line to see if that wastes enough time to mitigate the time jump. I've also tried to take a little more fuel than necessary but that doesn't seem to do much. However, due to my win this round I am another 30kg heavier, so we'll see what that does.

Either way, here are the updated standings:

Congrats on the W,CodeRed! That was good racing again. And again,Mardenborough didn't want to pass that Vette! lol
Totally agree with you that they should fix Sophy from backing off after the pits. I don't want to be handed a race, I want to fight for it,win or lose.
