Back from vacation and got the Sophy Intercontinental GT4 test race video edited and uploaded:

A few other test races I have done were also pretty good and I am looking forward to doing a full championship series with this. Will probably do the same live streams as the V8 series starting in a week or two. Just finalizing liveries, etc.
Just watched your test and that looked pretty good! Sophy seemed to drive "better" than in your first series. Or maybe it was just me. lol Anyway, looking forward to the start of the series.

Might be because the first series I had a full custom BOP. For this one I am using the standard GT7 BOP and adding 40hp. Seems to be working better.

Just ran a 10 lap race at Interlagos to see how the racing was for the GT4 series. Started myself P11 and had some good battles. Finished P7. So I am fairly confident I have my schedule picked out:
  1. Brands Hatch
  2. Catalunya
  3. Red Bull Ring
  4. Interlagos
  5. Road America
  6. Suzuka Circuit

I am busy this weekend, but we should be ready to start on October 26.

Edit: Made a pace car as the rabbit/lead car so I can get some cool pics at the start of the races. Will just have to try and ignore it after that. It's only a couple seconds faster per lap, so once it pulls away it should basically disappear for the rest of the race.

Got the field qualified for the first race and went ahead and did an initial 38 lap test race (60 minutes) just to see how it might play out. Try as hard as I might, could only qualify the Z in 16th at Brands Hatch. That's even with running 5-6 laps. All the AI cars I ran 2 laps only. Dropped a couple spots at the start and fought like hell to get them back over the next few laps. Had an incident with the Mercedes where I spun him out "accidentally" after he dive bombed me and damaged my car. 🤭

Unfortunately the field was "stuck" behind the car that started 4th (so frustrating) and that allowed me to pick them off one by one and get into the bottom half of the top 10. Pit at the end of lap 23 from 3rd place (some cars had pit already) and came out in 17th! Having to take more fuel than the AI cars hurt me here.

Over the last 14 laps I managed to work my way up to and finish in 9th position. Going to test a few things to see if I can remedy the AI cars not passing and see what happens. Also going to shorten the race to ~50 minutes since a couple cars pit again with 1-2 laps to go.

Finally, after three plus years, made time to build up a 2016 WEC grid. Always wanted to do this in GT Sport. Being able to do it in GT7 was on my bucket list.

Only lucked out because I had a few offs and I think that allowed me to eke about .2 extra for fuel. Meaning I didn’t have to pit with the other cars. Plus, double stinting tyres. The car was struggling to make speed and SOPHY just gobbled me up.
I used the race settings from the Gr.1 event with BOP On and Light Damage.

Did a couple more thirty minute races. Good stuff!
Edit:

Might spectate at Nurb GP and Fuji. Seriously can’t wait for Yas Marina and CGV. Even if they’re both not SOPHY certified in the update.
