The physics has been updated. More sliding around.Has Reggie changed? Had a quick go in custom races I'd set up before and it feels different.
Could be a PP thing....

First of all, the tyre bug is still present. Cars only use their default tyres unless if fitted with Racing Hard tyres.
I did a tiny test and it gave me front bumper damage with very little contact. I like it so far.Has anyone figured out how ‘championship’ damage works yet? From a quick test I had some front bumper damage from a hard hit that stayed for at least a lap? Might it be to do with the force of a collision?
Sophy might not be trained with the new physics yet. You would think they'd cover that before updating the physics, though.has sophy been acting really weird for anyone after this update? i had a gt300 inspired grid doing 2:12-2:14 laps on suzuka, but after this update several cars fell to 2:20+, with one even dropping to 2:41 (skyline r31). upon watching the replay, i found that the ai was being extremely conservative, almost slowing down to a halt for every corner
only weird instance I have noticed myself so far was when I was doing a GT4 themed (game, not class) at Le Mans, and while every car was working fine, for some reason my 190E DTM replica car would constantly slow down to a crawl at the chicanes, Mulsanne corner, and so on. I'm unsure if it's the car settings themselves causing Sophy to be cautious, because it sure wasn't the problem prior to the update. I'll test it later on with the stock car, and the DTM replica again by themselves, to see if the issue happens again, and then I'll test again with new settings on the DTM car to see if that changes anything as well. Gotta make sure if it's the settings or the car itself being a problem.has sophy been acting really weird for anyone after this update? i had a gt300 inspired grid doing 2:12-2:14 laps on suzuka, but after this update several cars fell to 2:20+, with one even dropping to 2:41 (skyline r31). upon watching the replay, i found that the ai was being extremely conservative, almost slowing down to a halt for every corner
You pretty much got it there. The in game prompt says that it's pretty much like "light" but the time to heal, and the severity of the effect, changes based on the severity of the impact.Has anyone figured out how ‘championship’ damage works yet? It's quite literally the last two cars all the time. If you have a field full of the same cars, the last two will be slow.Something I observed today with Sophy AI. Some of the cars in last place drive HORRENDOUSLY off pace. Similar to that of how the power pack Sophy "filler" drivers do. (I.e. brake well before the normal braking points, slow down meters away from the apex, they essentially baby the car and fall farther and farther behind each lap)
I'm not sure how this is determined but I think the 2 lowest PP cars are just deemed the weakest link. Makes me wonder if the Sophy in Custom Races are utilizing the Sophy 3.0 in the power pack now or if the new physics model is just making them finicky. Will do more testing cause this definitely wasn't the case before the update.
Depends on Reggie. Maybe it’s because the Civics( PP 602-603) in the grid are just above the PP 600.X of the other cars(the Lancers are slightly higher than the Chasers and Mark IIs). I guess the Civic is like a soft rabbit of the bunch. The cars down the grid weren’t left behind all race though. I gained P1 on lap 3 of the 4 lap race and the conga line was still close. A couple cars passed each other for position.Something I observed today with Sophy AI. Some of the cars in last place drive HORRENDOUSLY off pace. Yeah I was using the GT-R safety car for the rabbit in my GLTC series, and after the update I can't use it anymore. 🥲Would be interesting to know why some cars aren't Sophy compatible anymore after the update. Hope they'll add them again in the near future (GT86, Focus RS, BRZ, latest Civic) ...
yeah that's been my experience too, they slow down so much around the corners, and it feels like i'm racing gt5 b-spec drivers when the temper bar is on the far left, possibly even worse than thatonly weird instance I have noticed myself so far was when I was doing a GT4 themed (game, not class) at Le Mans, and while every car was working fine, for some reason my 190E DTM replica car would constantly slow down to a crawl at the chicanes, Mulsanne corner, and so on.
