I'm curious - when people are just hearing "Tahiti", are you thinking of the two GT3 rally tracks or the GT2 beginner road circuit?
On the GT2 versions, but seeing how PD is reworking old original tracks I wouldn't be susprised if could be a different layout (s), they could have a tarmac track and a rallycross variation

There's then some tropical flora being shown, which people have interpreted as possibly meaning Tahiti. This is a good post that explains things:
Oh hey, that's me!

Funny I was just thinking about Tahiti again recently, mainly due to it featuring along with the Lancia Delta we just got added to GT7, back on GT3.

Though it may seem like Tahiti could make a return in the future with the collected foliage, my doubts about it being anytime soon come from it not being a listed circuit in datamining (although that was a long time ago now).
So I'd argue the following tracks are more likely, even though they themselves are not guaranteed, and perhaps even less so for GT7 given the lack of new tracks for what will be at least a year.
I am only including tracks that have not already appeared. There are others found in similar lists that have already returned (Grand Valley, Eiger Nordwand, Watkins Glen etc):
  • Grand Canyon (though file listed as "PS2" so possibly dormant)
  • Akasaka Short ("Akasaka" being the location of Tokyo R246)
  • Cape Ring
  • Mid-Field Raceway
  • Albert Park
  • Circuit Gilles Villeneuve
  • Red Rock Valley
  • Zell am See (an Austrian ice racing track. Possibly replaced by Lake Louise)
There are some other files but nothing that can be distinguished.

Note that there is no mention of a Tahiti track, nor Apricot Hill despite some still insisting that those specific "find your line" teasers are it, even though they aren't from a direct top-down track map angle like the Deep Forest & Daytona teasers were.

If there has been any more recent datamining leaks that I'm not aware of, please let me know. The latest one predates the news of them scanning Mobility Resort Motegi, or at least that hadn't shown up in the code by that time.
Besides that I think that's everything.

Here's a link to the post where I compiled sources:

It has been seeming that the last lot of circuits we've had added have been somewhat rally-themed, with Eiger Nordwand being a tarmac rally stage, Lake Louise being the return of snow, and even Grand Valley appearing more as a tarmac rally course than a conventional race track. The South layout in particular, which is being used for the Lancia Delta time trial right now. Polyphony even seem to refer to it as such in their promotional tweet for it.

To me, Eiger has been a huge disappointment. It was rhe only original track that needed a new and longer layout and instead the gave us just the short one. PD LOGIC
I was so hyped for Eiger, and I was expecting/hoping for at least the K-Trail variant. It would have been amazing. Releasing the short road track was a bit of a belly drop, for sure.

I mean, you recreate that amazing location to do just a few km track? Seriously? Just do a longer tarmac and rally track…at least. Not having rain in swiss alps is even more disappointing

I really enjoyed the K-Trail. One of my favourite rally tracks, as it has a mix of tarmac/dirt, and it's a nice length. I like my tracks a bit longer, on average (giggidy giggidy). In all seriousness, having only one dirt/tarmac track in the game, and that track being a short rallycross layout is disappointing. The Eiger K-Trail would have filled that gap along with giving us another rally option. Alas... Nope. It seems to me the rally offerings we have, are what we are going to get. If we do get anymore tracks in GT7, they will likely be tarmac circuits (which is fine), but I REALLY want another proper rally circuit (ala Tahiti Maze). Judging by a lot of the comments I've read, most would prefer tarmac circuits and many wish there weren't any rally circuits in the game at all, freeing up space for more traditional circuits. I get it, but I have a lot of fun with the rally tracks. I just wish there were more of them, and potentially some traditional narrow point-to-point events (You and the AI against the clock, instead of the current rallycross approach). I know I'm in the minority, so I don't really expect any of that. Just a silly Irishman's dream.

So if I'm reading this right, every new track we've had in GT7 so far (at launch or via update) except for Lake Louise was in GT Sport's code?

So if I'm reading this right, every new track we've had in GT7 so far (at launch or via update) except for Lake Louise was in GT Sport's code?
Some were first discovered in GT Sport, and some were first discovered in GT7.
  • Watkins Glen for example, was added to the list during GT7. The discoveries of a new Red Rock Valley file & Zell am See were also from GT7, not GT Sport, but have yet to appear.
  • Daytona, Trial Mountain, Deep Forest & High Speed Ring were found in GT Sport, but would debut at the launch of GT7.
  • Road Atlanta, Grand Valley & Eiger Nordwand were found in GT Sport, but it took a longer time for them to eventually appear in a GT7 update. Grand Canyon, Akasaka Short, Cape Ring & Mid-Field Raceway were also from GT Sport, but have yet to appear.
  • Albert Park & Circuit Gilles Villeneuve first appeared in GT Sport scapes data, not circuit data. However the latter was added to circuit data during GT7.
  • Lake Louise may have existed as a file known as "test_snow_oval" at one point, but did appear with its final name in GT7 1.36.
In short, these combined datamine lists have contained every new track & layout featured from the start of GT7 to now. So it's a pretty decent list to base guesses off of.

It should also be noted that Polyphony will have added new files since the latest datamine that we don't know of (like Motegi perhaps), and it's very possible for something to seemingly jump the queue and be added before the rest of the datamined tracks.
Road Atlanta was in the code for a long time, but Watkins Glen was added to the code after Road Atlanta, & released before it. I think it may have only been a few months between the discovery of Watkins Glen & its release, compared to years with Road Atlanta.
This is not to say it only took a few months for Polyphony to make Watkins Glen of course, just that the age of files seems to hold no relevance to its release.

Sorry in advance for this dumb question. But is there any chance of a new datamine? Like do you know if PD has encrypted better their files? Sorry for this ignorant question.

What happened was that the people who did the datamining decided to stop sharing things as much, either because of people constantly bothering them, or not wanting to end up on Polyphony's radar.
There's a chance that something new could be found & posted by someone, but not as likely as perhaps it used to be.

I don't know if Polyphony has done more to prevent leaks in the form of their coding, but I personally doubt it.

As for my part in this, I am just a compiler of existing information, not a dataminer myself.

There were text for companion scapes for Albert Park and Circuit Gilles Villeneuve (plus Daytona) as early as GT Sport (version 1.61), and Red Rock Valley (redrockvalley_ps2) has been there since GTPSP.

Ah ok, thanks. I know Circuit Gilles Villeneuve appeared as Time of Day data during GT7, but the scapes data was found in GT Sport then.
Should also note that Albert Park has only appeared as scapes data so far, unlike CGV.

Didn't know about that specific Red Rock Valley file. I was only aware of this one, which doesn't have "PS2" in its name:

Oh and another update. Lake Louise was found by name in the code of GT7 1.36. It was released in GT7 1.40:

So we've already been given a little hint as to what to expect. I reckon we'll get four cars this time as per last July's update, and my predictions are:

Nissan R390 GT1 Race Car '98 - a fan favourite since GT3 and heavily requested on this forum and elsewhere, the R390 must be on PD's radar. It's unusual for us to get two race cars in a row but since this one is very different from the Delta I reckon it has a good chance this month.

McLaren P1 '13 - a supercar addition that would complete the mid-2010s "holy trinity". Again, much requested and from a brand that hasn't featured in an update yet (I think?). Perhaps the more recent 720S is more likely but the P1 has iconic status.

Skoda Octavia VRS Estate '09 - it's quite odd there was so much fanfare over the Skoda brand coming to the game without any actual cars from said manufacturer being added. "Fast five door estate" feels like a real gap in the car line up (okay, you can put a V8 in the Volvo but still) and I feel like now is the time.

Meyers Manx Dune Buggy '69 - baffling, inexplicably quirky cars have been a feature of recent updates and the dune buggy represents a corner of motoring culture that GT has not yet explored. Expect a one-make weekly at Grand Valley for peak hippie.

I think it's possible we get a track this month, maybe even more likely than not. I predict a fictional circuit as I suspect PD may hold back the real ones for GT8. I've seen Tahiti Maze mentioned but I'm gonna go left field and predict Special Stage Route X - Infield Layout which has seemingly been in development for a while as it exists in GT6 game data. It would breathe new life in to a frustratingly boring track in an unusual and visually interesting location.

Maybe two cars and Sophy update.

Also, I noticed in this video taken in Mario Andretti kart center, they are using a modified GT7 version which not display the steering wheel from the dashboard cockpit view. Maybe something that will comes soon in next updates for the display option for GT7?
What do you think ?

I think that's Assetto Corsa with a Gran Turismo HUD mod
The timer at the top doesn't look like the one in GT

Prediction: Dodge Hornet

I wouldn't be surprised if they're going to piecemeal the variants/weather in an attempt to string out content for monthly updates.

Xiaomi SU7 ulta.
Unlikely to be this year.
Prediction: Dodge Hornet
We had an American car two updates ago. That means* no more for two more updates.

Weird that this 1-0-0-0-1 pattern for US cars (although 1.40 was three American cars, so really it was 3-0-0-0-1) has repeated four times now (1.27-1.34, 1.40-1.46, 1.46-1.54, 1.54-1.59).

In that case I bet on Tokyo South and/or Interlagos getting that treatment.

Instagram post for the Delta went live a couple hours ago. While already assumed, it seems very likely there will be a July update.

Not necessarily. The last time one of the Twitter posts (detailing an update vehicle) was this early was the May break (no update that month). Just sayin'

Of course it could go either way, but if we're going by precedent, this would dictate no update this month.

While this confirms nothing yet about the next update's release date, the first car of the update is posted on Gran Turismo's Twitter account.

Very confused. This thread is the 1.61 prediction thread…1.60 and the Delta update already came out a couple days ago.

So we've already been given a little hint as to what to expect. I reckon we'll get four cars this time as per last July's update, and my predictions are:

The (or an) R390 GT1 was recently fully restored and is on show tour in Europe right now. Pretty easy for them to get their hands on one but idk if this is the only full restored car or not.

They promote the most recent update via their social channels. Once the Campaign for the current release is done, they start to tease the next update.

This has now become a fairly reliable pattern…

Johnny said the first car of “the update” has been posted. This is the 1.61 thread. The first car of 1.61 has not been posted.

I see now that you read through his bad grammar but I did not.
