Thought I'd highlight a funny but based reply comment:

I was thinking about that AE86 BTCC car that was at the World Series earlier.

Don't get me wrong, it's not coming to the game, I know that. I'm more surprised that, given GT's historical fondness for Japanese tuners and the AE86 being such a halo car for said Japanese tuner scene, that we've only ever had the Shigeno as a tuned AE86 across the whole series. Feels like a car there could easily have been a bunch of versions of.

I guess the JTC Group A versions as Racing Modifications were enough. Plus the replica N2 versions back in GT-GT2. Again, being able to replicate cars with the livery editor and parts are probably better for PD to do without all the licencing hassles. I’m happy with what we can do with AE86s in GT7.

The Kraft AE86 would've been a cool car to have to add some old GT300 representation, but unfortunately, the cars long burnt to a crispy mess, and as such is unavailable to be scanned (unless someone were to make a 1:1 recreation of it, which being a car with little documentation and a whole host of one off pieces, probably unlikely)

Indeed. The early Gran Turismo games(and definitely a whole host of past racing games from many developers) are good reference material for iconic cars no longer around.

I never understood why they never included the Bugatti circuit. It seems mostly there already lol
PD probably won't add that circuit at this point in time. Idk... it's their decision on what tracks they choose.

...Urgh, really wish Daiki Kasho was as active on social media as Kaz is right now. lol. But nope, my favorite musician is as elusive as ever (well, other than his Instagram account. He's been using that a lot more than on others as of late).

Yeah, they include variations of the Nürburgring. What’s the problem?

The man love his photography and videography. Maybe more tools for capturing in game action. A static camera like what he’s doing would be an awesome start.

There'd be no point in remastering GT6. It's the absolute worst GT game ever made. A race game with no racing in it. They'd be better off remastering GT2 or 3 or 4. They are the three best GT's made. Won't happen though.
IDK as someone who hated GT6 when it came out, revisiting it its leagues better than I remember. I think 7 might be my least favorite now, I can't even remember the last time I played it, it might have been a year or so by now. It just feels so shallow and lifeless and dull.

I'm glad Kaz is having fun out there. Maybe he'll start thinking about what to feature in gt8. And that he's plans it with his staff and crew/developers. He even mentioned about the Toyota TS020 which was one of my favorite cars from the older GT games. I'll check back on his Twitter page to see what other updates he posts. Stay tuned.

Weekly online time attacks! The time trials keep me very engaged

From the link:
With GT Sophy, we knew beating players wasn’t enough. The goal was to make it fun. So we worked with game designers to make it feel fair–giving humans faster cars or adjusting difficulty levels.

We wanted players to learn, not just lose. And it worked. GT Sophy is now integrated into Gran Turismo 7 on PlayStation 5. The reviews have been fantastic. Players know they’re up against an AI that could be faster, but they’re enjoying the interaction–and improving from it.
Other than slowing SOPHY down from the World Tour and programming some rubberbanding with the boost function, it’s mainly truuuuuuuue. I have improved my driving by seeing how SOPHY drives on the limit and sets up corners and passing and avoiding contact.

Yes and they are an attraction for gt7. People like to compete against each other while doing hot laps on the track. Yeah, I feel engaged and motivated too when I have the time to play them.

Wow that is crazy lol. Not even letting off the throttle. I don't know why PD insists on not at least giving options to disable the rubber banding.
I agree, it makes no sense at all. PD may not be able to incorporate options for that issue. It'd be nice if they would.
