Guys, I need your help. I'm thinking of upgrading from PS4 to the PS5 Digital Edition.

How can I play GT7 on the PS5 Digital Edition with my current progress in the game?

You buy an upgrade to the ps5 version, download the game and play. The main thing is on the same account, since the saves are online, everything will load. That's how it works.

Is your PS4 version of the game digital or disc ?
If it's a disc I think you will have to buy a digital version.
Your game progress is saved online so if you start the game on the same account
you will just pick up where you left off.
I Had the same scenario.

PS5 digital is cheaper, but if you have a lot of physical games, The standard PS5 Will be a better option.

Interesting to know what they are recording🤔 also that means the SU7 Ultra is not ready yet

Maybe filming some ad? Not sure if "recording" in the tweet can be translated that way though.
And F12 with 911 are already in the game, so it doesn't neccessarily mean SU7 is not ready.

Thanks for your replies.

I have the disk version of the game on the PS4.

In that case you will have to check which option will be more cost effective for you.
Buying a digital version of GT7 or buying a disc version PS5.

Just download the current gt7 game on your ps5. Hope I'm right on this. But of course you'll have to purchase a ps5 first before making this move.

Igor Fraga with his first Super Formula P1!

I was there today. The announcer said like one hundred times that he was a Gran Turismo player, was interesting.

I sought for Gran Turismo clues in the event, maybe they would tease a new car... but found nothing. They had these tents where you can play GT7 but they were using the SuperFormula 23 in the standard (old) Suzuka.

There was some kind of Japanese Mazda esports stream this morning:

I mention this because at the end they advertise the Power Pack and Spec III, and they're still being coy about the Spec III release date specifics beyond "December", despite the literal previous slide saying the Power Pack is on the 4th as we know.

I'm starting to wonder if Spec III isn't going to be on the 2nd or 3rd instead.

I'm pretty sure that has totally mundane reasons. Just a minor misalignment in communication, if you can even call it that.

I guess the person drafting this particular promo just didn't consider that, upon its release, we would already know about December 4th.

Gran Turismo 5 was released 15 years ago today!

There's definitely logical reasoning you could put behind it - if Daily Races are changing structure in Spec III, for instance, they'd likely want the update to be on a Monday so they switch them over at the usual time.

Do I necessarily think that's going to happen? Not really. But I also don't think it'd be shocking if it did, and I just find it interesting that they're being really stubborn about not confirming the release date.

15 years later, and it's still arguably the greatest online experience and community that GT has ever had. Nothing to this day hits like a good TGTT lobby did back then. 🥲
Quite literally, one session at a friend's house (my first taste of online gaming) was enough to set me on the path that I'm on today. GT Sport arrived just as the network environment reached a decent standard where I live, and bingo! New obsession unlocked.

What's stubborn about having a video with the 4th December advertised on it?
