Does anyone have any idea what that Camaro might be? Or if its some kind of GT original?
Well...

It appears to be a PD-original creation, in a similar style to the 70's Nissan Skyline from the Power Pack DLC.

From the Playstation blog...
’69 Chevrolet Camaro Race-Mod
*Can be purchased from Brand Central

A restomod of the classic Trans-Am hero Camaro Z28.

Introduced in 1966, the Camaro was Chevrolet’s answer to Ford’s Mustang. The high‑performance Z28 was developed to homologate the car for the SCCA Trans‑Am Series and debuted as a focused motorsports model. Power came from a high‑revving 302 cu in (4.9‑litre) V8, with no automatic transmission or air conditioning offered. Campaigned by teams such as Penske Racing, the Z28 went on to claim championship success in Trans‑Am, helping spark a new era of small‑displacement, high‑revving American V8s.

Created by Gran Turismo, the Camaro 1969 Race‑Mod is a modern reinterpretation of that original Z28. It preserves the spirit of classic Trans‑Am racing through a low, aggressive stance, while incorporating elements of the contemporary restomod movement popularized at events like SEMA. Chrome trim has been removed and replaced with carbon‑black components, while a wide‑mouth front bumper, pronounced ducktail spoiler, and centre‑exit exhaust sharpen the exterior.

Inside, the car adopts a stripped‑back race cockpit with a roll cage, Alcantara bucket seats, and a sequential shifter. Beneath the vintage‑inspired design, however, lies thoroughly modern performance: a supercharged V8 producing 657.8 bhp. The result is a modern Trans‑Am race car that honors tradition while embracing new technology.

As I lost a bit of my interest into the 1.68, I was wondering if a live stream was planned for the collab event between PD & Ruf this saturday.

Idk if it'll be a Livestream, but I can see the possibility of the Yellowbird and maybe the Tribute being added in GT7 as an announcement

A few hours left before the Ruf x GT partnership reveal. Can't wait !
Was it being livestreamed somewhere? I don't think they have an official YouTube channel.
Or was this reveal not taking place in video format at all, and just a press release?

I don't think so, we just have to wait for a post, a video, or something of that kind somewhere.

Somewhat relevant due to PD's involvement in it and the in-game push: With Honda canceling the 0 Series and RSX EV, the future of the Afeela looks to be in danger:
Sad to see the SHMAFEELA in this state, but they really had it coming all along.

I kinda like the Afeela in Gran Turismo but I wouldn't dare to drop $100k on a rather obscure and uninspired luxury EV with a bajillion cameras when there's better deals out there in the form of Lucid Air, Model S, EQS, E-trons, Polestar 5 and Taycans.

The SUV is probably already canned, as for the Afeela 1, it'll probably be dead on arrival and stay in the market for 2 years max. It's sad but that's business, right?

Well RUF was at PD's headquarters yesterday

This is kind of a wish list item, but we should try to convince PD to give us a side to side adjustment option for cockpit view, when using the offset cockpit view setting. We have vertical and forward/backward adjustments. Just need to add side to side.

If the Tribute is the product of their collaboration, that would make for a second restomod this year.

Edit : I didn't even realize it was a larger event.

Gran Turismo is one of the partners. Sounds logical since Ginza holds Tokyo Expressway circuit.

I hope Kaz will take a closer look to this 1967 Porsche 910... Probably my favorite Porsche ever, even more than the 911 GT1 '98.

That paint color peaks at night, gooorgeous...

Does anyone know what Wing B on the FL5 is based on? I thought it was the Mugen wing, turns out it is not that after some further research.

It’s the Super Taikyu wing for the Spoon Sports FL5 livery.
