The Last of Us 2 and Ghost of Tsushima were released very close to one another. About a month, if I remember correctly. Both resounding successes though the situation is a bit different because GoT was a new IP.As more as I think, in my opinion they don’t see GT7 as blockbuster anymore. It’s nowadays a „niche“ titel for them. I really think, God of war wouldn’t have got the allowing to bring it out nearly two weeks after Horizon.
Yes, but they set the release dates for the two. It was their decision with both games bringing out to nearly same time. I find, the marketing of GT7 stays in shadow of Horizon, yes it comes a bit later out, but it’s suboptimal for another AAA game.

The parts of the trailer in GT Sport I'm in weren't AI they were actual drivers (Was the actual London eventIts so crazy.
I started watching all the old GTS trailers last night. PD was so much more forthcoming with information about the game then. New physics, new tire models. they even had a trailer that showed game-play featuring our very own @Tidgney racing against the generic AI dudes. Hell, they even had one trailer dedicated to the E-sports side of things!!
Hey Tidge, do you have any info you're able to legally dispel to us yet??
To be fair there will be all sorts flying round, some exaggerations, some hyped up nonsense that would never happen and all sorts in between. But there's for example some things I've heard that are not related to anything I've signed which I wouldn't speak up about anyway because to me it's up to PD to release that information, as that is their product, their announcement. Best example of that was the Lewis Hamilton stuff that got released, I and others knew about that 9 months in advance but again while I might have teased stuff (I didn't sign anything for that) I wouldn't officially say anything because I didn't want to ruin that and that was good content to for GT SportThe funny thing is, I'm willing to bet that 85% of the answers we seek, are known by people who frequent, and run this site. We for one know @Tidgney knows stuff. I'm wiling to bet my paycheck that @Famine and @Scaff and some of the other mods and admins know details. Of course they do actually.
This is the biggest site for sim racing. They've built relationships over the years with these people. Things get leaked to them. Its how it works in the motorcycle industry at least between the manufacturers and the press (mags). But discussion is good for business for this site, so they're rightfully holding the info close to their chests... and probably by law since they're under NDA's..

Thanks for that, will do.I'll have a look next time i fire up my ps5.👍Go to the pstore, scroll down to Library, scroll to purchased games, click on your 25th Ann preorder.
Why wouldn’t it be?I've got a question concerning Daytona, we know the road course is highlighted, but what about the other variations of the track, will the basic oval be accessible?
Another option is for PD to add a couple of 1960's era cars like the Ford Galaxie, Chevy Impala, and Doge Polara and just let players modify them up to 1960's 'stock car' spec themselves. Won't have to deal with NASCAR licensing, and it will be a better gameplay experience too building your own car up.Hopefully they've secured a stock car or two. Doesn't even need an official livery, it just needs to be like the F1500T.
The clouds looked like volumetric 3d renders to me in the Daytona video, they just didn't enable noticeable time progression and it was just one lap. I don't see the point in them doing 2 separate types of sky rendering and lighting systems for all tracks either when the dynamic tracks look this good anyway. I'm still of the opinion that it will just be the rally tracks that won't have dynamic features. PR text have said that "over 90 track routes in dynamic weather conditions, including classic courses from GT history." , which looks to be most of the tracks.BTW, Has anyone mentioned yet that the Daytona video had a static skybox and I'm assuming no dynamic time? I'm assuming they are showing off gameplay with dynamic time of day off because the graphical fidelity is higher that way? Little annoying they just didn't fully commit with dynamic time of day, it should be standard imo.
Exactly probably time progression is set to 1x so it is impossible to see much variation in a 1 min lap just like irlThe clouds looked like volumetric 3d renders to me in the Daytona video, they just didn't enable noticeable time progression and it was just one lap. I mean it's rare, but it does happen.Only track without rain, is Willow Springs.
Ahh damn that's my favorite car.
PD have said not all tracks will have dynamic weather unfortunately..Full day night cycles with dynamic weather will be a very good thing. Not the static we know from GT Sport.
If we have dynamic weather on all tracks with day night, it will be fine and I don't need so much new tracks at the start in 6 weeks.
Only track without rain, is Willow Springs. But hopefully sunny and cloudy conditions while day and night, I think this will be fine.
In PS Store they just wrote on over 90 tracks with dynamic weather.PD have said not all tracks will have dynamic weather unfortunately..
I searched for it, but just found not much rainy days in Death Valley. Willow Springs has some rain days, but not that much that I need rainy conditions in a game.I mean it's rare, but it does happen.

It's Raining At Willow Springs, But Tire Vendors Have No Rain Tires
Copyright 2004, Roadracing World Publishing, Inc.As of 8:30 a.m. local time, it was raining at Willow Springs International Raceway in Rosamond, California, the site of the $150,000 WSMC Toyota 200 […]www.roadracingworld.com

You can get it to blizzard at Long Beach in PC2, so implementing rain in a desert track doesn’t seem too much out of the windowIn PS Store they just wrote on over 90 tracks with dynamic weather.
No sign of time, but hopefully we have most of all tracks with it.

Actually I want snow-covered variants for the tarmac circuits which are in a place where is possible to snow.
Just like this:
But snowy Spa is too risky to drive on!?
