With some of the races being nerfed on payouts, I wanted to experiment with other races that can be farmed to see if there was a method that could be better. So, I tried the Daytona truck race as it pays the same now as Fisherman's Ranch Rally Champions. Only that it's technically easier since you're just doing 5 laps on an oval with trucks. There's no p.p. limit, so I thought I would try fully upgrading my Tundra to see what happens. Well, it's sadly still longer than doing the Fisherman's Ranch race. It takes between 4-5 minutes, even with the Truck having max upgrades. I might be able to go faster with more proper tuning with the transmission and suspension, but right now it's not quick enough.

I'm pretty sure I know why GT and the FIA split. It must have been because Kaz kept asking if he could add a supercharger and nitrous to his GT3 car and telling them how cool it would be, and they kept telling him no.

I know they can't make a law for this. I was speaking out of disappointment.

They also do it so when they release updates like this lowering the credits people can't stay offline and continue to earn credits on an older update.

Eventually those people would need to update their game if they want to enjoy the newest content.

As i said before: i do not understand where these companies want to go with this mindset. We don't want people to "mechanically" grind the same event over and over. Yet they lower the prize money, so now we need to grind even more! Reading the comments here they certainly didn't do anything good for player retention. Quite the opposite in my little opinion.

Lowering credits is just not defendable in my book. At least if we would have gotten new events with this update that pays good prize money, meh, i would be okay with it. But still: at least leave the prize money as it is and adjust it in new updates with the new events.

Just for reference for anybody out there: i can (if i want to) and will put the time in and grind to get the cars that i want. Some people here think that those who complain want every car in the first week. If i wanted that i would indeed pay money for it. So little bit short-sighted.
Yh it is stupid. I loaded up the game earlier for the 1st time since new update. I just couldn't be bothered to play it sooner. Then I quit half way through a race. Just the hole thought of even playing the game now just kills my motivation. I really hate the game. On 1.06 I did like the game even with all its frustrations but now they have made it so I can't earn credits I just hate it. The key to getting people to spend money is to make them enjoy your product. But Sony have took an approach where its make them feel like they have to spend money. It won't work because people mite buy credits once then soon as they spend them its straight back to where they were before. So what's the point in spending $10 for 10 minutes of entertainment? You can just play a different game where you don't need to spend so much money.
I would much rather Gran Turismo took a cosmetic approach and sold alloys, body kits, defusers and stuff (Obviously with a selection of free ones as well). Then had a normal progression system (Where all cars are bought with credits and credits cannot be purchased via MTX). I feel like this would not only make Sony more money but also it would be more consumer friendly. People would enjoy the game more and feel more confident about spending their money on the product. People are more likely to share with someone they trust and that's basic common sense. How the hell does a multi million pound corporation not know that??
With my idea I feel like everyone wins. The pay to win aspect is gone. Sony gets there juicy micro-transaction money. Players get to enjoy the game. Obviously some people will be upset about the micro-transactions but realistically Sony won't remove them all together. Ofcourse we all know that would be the best route. But I am sure everyone would rather settle on cosmetics then what we have now.

Looks like they forgot to adjust one. 5000 credits for this 30 minute mission.

Edit: same with the 30 lap Tsukuba Mission

Edit 2: just realized that the gold, silver and bronze prizes are added together so that would 10k credits. Still way too little for 30 minute races.

If they wanted mtx to work just charge for liveries. They’d make a killing and have zero impact on functionality. They could also share the money with livery creators and give a little back to the community.

Pays the same as every other mission.

Metacritic will affect the sales a bit but nothing major.

I fear some individuals either give up on the game. Or resort to the credits buying 😔 Most people just don't have the time to grind, compared to us somewhat few (?) hardcore grinders..

Yep I did the 30 lap tsukuba last night and I didn't even check the payout before going in.
10.000 miserable credits for all that effort.

Now Kaz, please tell me to enjoy the game.

The answer is playing something not broken. The grind is maybe enjoyable for some (kids?) but for people with little gaming time it's a non-sense. We pay for games to have fun, right?
Depends, to some grinding might be fun, as weird as it might sound. I would say it is mostly the young, are those who can grind a lot (?) 🤔 Life situation may allow it etc. So not only kids, well I don't mind to grind a bit as a 26-year old. Only when i have time though.

I also know when to stop, when I start to feel bad/too tired or when I have more important stuff to do. Like tomorrow, visiting relatives. GT7 can wait, in the end it is just a game. Plus for me this is the swansong of console gaming, PS5 is outta my league. So playing on PS4 and PS3 until they break and enjoying the last journey 🏁

That makes sense, I am almost 40 so there is no reason to waste any time. I like sims and some good racing games. Racing is very good fun to me. I would like to know more about cars but Kaz's way feels a bit strange. GTS collector's edition was a sure thing to me, it's pretty nice.

Sure, but you won't have too many cars then. :D PC is much better place for racing games. I still hope GT will be a bit more user friendly soon.

Yeah. I once thought about PC. But even more outta my league than PS5, with all the settings before you can drive. Expensive too. And then we have these sims like ACC and iRacing, so much effort to become decent in them.. Tried ACC on PS4, a bit too hardcore. But I once survived a like 1 hour race without binning it, so I am not totally useless 😅 Midpack in a league race at Nurburgring GP with Bentley, with some faster drivers binning it lol.

GT7 and GTS are a good middle ground for a reasonable price (did not switch to PS5). I have Grid too (2019 one? Or earlier..?), way way too arcade.

Might pick up on PC2 on PS4 again someday, once I grow tired of GT7. There you can do much else to drive than just GT cars. Probably buying Test Drive Solar Crown for some open road enjoyment. BTCC game, hmm.. Will have to see 🤔

Check the Kaz's message. This the right way to play. :D Everybody loves to play with one car for months until he can buy another one, right?

Dont know I just got a 6 stars ticket in the daily workout, got the McLaren VGT 🤷
Nice, I got a GT-R gr3 car yesterday from a 5* daily roulette ticket.

Hmm, I find his comments strange. You can see in interviews throughout history he is a car enthusiast. Is he blinded by the dollars flowing? 🤔 Still, I will say, that take some of his comments for what it is.

He wants realism in car collecting. What he is saying that not everyone should be able to have an exclusive legendary car. Ask yourself, how many XJ13s or Ferrari 500 Mondials or Ford Mark IV race cars exist in the world anymore? Very few.

So you may not like it, but if you were able to buy an XJ13 before it was sold out. Required either opening your wallet, mega grinding (helps if you did that before update 1.07-1.08) or hacking the game or something. Bottom end is that on purpose it is made tough to get. You can't get everything in this game. This game is not called Forza Horizon 5. Just try to enjoy what you can buy in terms of cars. (I say this to all you who play this game)

Next up, they better fix the online part (sport mode and lobbies, daily c was adjusted with a wall I heard). I think this is the path for GT mode for the time being.

Yes I think so. But by the looks of it, carbon does not exist in GT Auto for Pagani at least 🤔 Option B is buying a duplicate Huayra, maybe too crazy 😁

This is the problem, the car is invitation only, I like the look of the carbon and non carbon. No idea if or when I'll get another invitation. I don't fancy buying 2 as money is hard for me to gather.

Maybe in GT auto I can put non carbon parts on a carbon car..

Has anyone got a pagani huayra here yet? or any car with a carbon option? Would be grateful if you could see if you can change the car into the non carbon version or vice versa.

My invitation runs out tonight
