Just played a race and it's still working for me and the AI cars during the race and in replays.

On PS5 with RT priority?

Today I played for an hour or so, and I only earned around 90,000 cr. from four different events of varying scope. I effectively played the game exactly like Kaz is asking people to play it. Not very satisfying when the payouts are that small, and buying the Sauber C9 currently in the dealership is just not going to happen under these circumstances. I also get the impression that’s how PD wants it to be unless we waste our actual money on virtual credits.

So basically I now feel no motivation to do much other than completing the daily workout. Games are supposed to be the opposite of work though.

Kaz was clear that higher difficulty and bigger payout races are coming. Did you guys even read his post?

Higher difficulty meaning the AI gets an even bigger head start, and bigger payouts meaning they'll add more 10 lap races that technically have bigger payouts than Fisherman's Ranch but aren't worth doing anyway?

There is no reason to ever trust that guy again. He's been bad in the past but for GT7 he's being constantly lying ever since the game was first revealed.

why is this not in the game already? They had 5 years to develop this and still most of the assets are reused from Sport

Why aren't they in the game to begin with?

It sucks, and we can't do nothing but keep complaining until by some miracle happens and they all of sudden knows how screwed up the situation is, unfortunately.

Sony literally can't make enough PS5s to go around so the PS5-exclusive title that GT7 was supposed to be had to be backported to work on the PS4, and I am willing to bet that 90% of the issues with the game stem from that fact.

ah, of course, being a crossgen title means that PD had to castrate the classic Campaign/GT Mode because of PS4. Even though 90% of the cars and all of the tracks are directly from Sport with next to no/minimal changes. Right.

and it's the semiconductor crisis' fault that 7 is tied to a server somewhere in Japan

The remaining 10% are the normal issues any game is plagued with.

They've already made plenty of events that they've withheld. Why can't they be added?

Huh? The cars for Sport races are cheap.

700k inc. tyres and parts for a gr3. You’d never make enough on online races for that so it forces you to play single player. Then you’ve got a choice of grinding terrible races that’ll bore you to tears for an hour or two or 4 or 5 hours of more tolerable racing with the gr3 cup or something. Understanding that maximum payouts aren’t guaranteed as you’ll be putting the difficulty on hard to make a race out of it.

I can play the game In 20 min do the euro championship and get 45k per race for the three races and another 120 at the end of the championships for winning it and taking first for all the events….

I turned on RT and they are still there with it on as well.

Exactly my experience! Why wasting time in a game without cars, tracks or races? It's a racing game but without any content. User score 2.5 says it all.

You might have some sort of bug personally but I'm telling you they are still there for me.

I’m sure I can too, but my point was to demonstrate how the game feels when you don’t “mechanically” grind for credits.

RT/Performance modes don't affect races at all, they're only for replays, photo mode, and other areas with cars that aren't races.

Since when the user score on Metacritic is a reliable source of a game being bad. The game received 2 review-bombing already.

He wanted to do some time trials too. Or you play one champ for half a year?

Edit: same with the 30 lap Tsukuba Mission

Edit 2: just realized that the gold, silver and bronze prizes are added together so that would 10k credits. Still way too little for 30 minute races.

Yea I wasn’t sure this wasn’t right either so I’ve not even attempted these yet, but given they’ve changed some rewards already, I’m assuming these are correct!

What boggles me is that there's all the elements required to provide an extremely wide range of content - cars of various classes and manufacturers, multiple circuits with multiple layouts, race settings that allow for different qualifying formats, different starts, different lap counts or time durations, BoP, AI difficulty, variable weather, pit stop strategy, systems that allows for cups to be created, the list goes on and on.

Yet, somehow, the content included in the game at the moment isn't huge and barely uses a wide range of those features, and while they're mostly all available to us in custom races, there's no sense of progression to that and the payouts are so nerfed compared to the set races that there's no real point in doing them in order to continue upgrading or buying cars.

Yes but I find 30fps replays abusive to the eyes. You automatically get RT in photomode even with the prioritize frame rate option anyway.

I’m using all my cars not just one car, I’m trying to master different platforms and get fast so imo while everyone calls it grinding… I’m just getting better and having fun with the game. Yes I know it’s shocking.

Just to make sure, I booted it up and checked for you. I’m afraid you do seem to be having a problem at your own end (maybe try a reinstall?). Flames galore here.

I’m using all my cars not just one car, I’m trying to master different platforms and get fast so imo while everyone calls it grinding… I’m just getting better and having fun with the game. Yes I know it’s shocking.

Hot-lapping is pretty good for getting fast.

Try 911 RSR heavily tuned cars and with nitro maybe still work...

Hot-lapping is pretty good for getting fast.

Yea I can also hot lap while getting some practicing on passing and judging on my car position relative to other cars. It’s better for me this way so if I do hit them it’s only AI.. I use cockpit view when I drive, so again I get to practice my skills make a good penny, try different cars and have fun.

Training with traffic is like public training, it's fine but private one is important too. The point is you can hotlap forever and you won't get any new car. Game without any content.

For the first time for daily workout I've got one star ticket and 2000cr that too got adjusted so we can enjoy the game more?

90% of mine the whole game have been 1 star and 2000cr. Not new at all, distressingly regular.
