So there's the possibility the update will feature the Xiaomi, Ferrari 296 and the M4 GT3?

(I know, I know, we shouldn't get our hopes up but still...)
Nah, completely unrelated. At least in the past the cars were booked by a marketing agency unrelated to the game.
Similar to how a Melbourne course layout showed up in the promo videos before the GT7 launch. No relation to the game.

And with how weird or old other cars in game are, it's probably easier to get these than actual GT cars 🙈

Only the Xiaomi is confirmed (eventually) and that was announced a while ago.

Eh, I can buy some of those random Mercedes and Porsches being just cars they thought would be German + cool, but there's definitely some planning there. It's not a coincidence that noted partnership cars the Ioniq 5 N and Xiaomi are there, or that the Valkyrie was at the last round that just so happened to be using it in Nations.

Looks like Puma is no longer making the clothes. Judging by the Adidas car outside the venue, im thinking adidas might be the new sponsor.
That's just an official Mercedes livery

I mentioned it in the GTWS thread because I wasn't sure, but I went back and checked, and these advertising hoardings are definitely not in the game at present, either in the current Sport Mode TT at Monza or any of the single player races there.

Note that Harman Logistics are fictional, so this isn't a sponsorship thing.

Did you check the wtc 800 race because the top screenshot with Harman on the banner before the second chicane is there, the second in game is covered by another fictional sponsor Toby Morrish Jewelry with 1 big banner and 2 small ones at the 100m board instead of the long one from the gtws stream

I think the yellow signs above the tires is used in a version of Suzuka whenever there's a online championship in Sport Mode

(Picture from a TGR GT Cup Round last year)
The same effect applies to "Online Championship" races in Sport mode when they were around (Same applies to some WTC races with a longer race duration or when it's for the PP800 and above classes).
Kinda weird that I would reply to the same kind of message back in February.

Since there are three more months before the end of the year, assuming we get at least four cars next month, November and December, we'd be at 560 cars.

Then with one more year of updates, I think GT7 will eventually have up to around 600 cars at the end of its lifetime.

One more year is unlikely. I think support may stop, as soon as December 25

We'll know a lot more about the future by Wednesday evening. Realistically if GT isn't in next week's State of Play, the next installment is not going to be a 2026 game, so we won't need to think about it for a while. And we'll also have the update trailer then, in case there's some unexpected Sophy 2.1-like support for this game dropping.

Did some reading and the penultimate GT Sport update came about a month before GT7s reveal (final update was a competition thing), 21 months before the games release. Until we start getting 1 car updates, I don't believe we'll see much of GT8 and I certainly don't believe it'll be seen next year. Is it in active development? I believe yes. Could I be totally wrong? Also yes.
