I got to give volt on youtube some credit, many of the things he doing i think is just to create hype, and just a lot of speculations, without any proof to back it up, but he said spec lll was coming weeks before it got revealed at state of play,
Given that there was no proof or evidence of a Spec III until Wednesday, this too was "just a lot of speculations". Even a stopped (analogue) clock is right twice a day...

We've got posts here about a potential Spec III dating back to 2023 (and a lot pointing to late-2024). Were they all in-the-know too, or speculating?

I posted this in September 2024:

Alternatively, the Pro update could be a part of a rumored “Spec III” patch which will, like “Spec II” in November 2023, bring changes throughout the game as well as some new content for players to get to grips with.

Some WIP screens of Gran Turismo 7 Extended Package, a "find a random thing to do" program I'm working on.

The car images are from the official Gran Turismo 7 car list, I don't own them. This program will be free, and there are no links to, or suggestions for donations in the program.

The custom race settings for these events are small modifications upon a base settings list that's linked at the start of the program, and once entered in-game, you can save it and load the same settings for every custom race.

From there, only small modifications are needed, like laps, setting it to random custom weather or specified preset weather, time of day, and one-make/select from garage if the event requires it.

These per-event modifications will be in a separate clickable link within that specific "thing to do" screen in the final version.

Am I the only one who thinks there will be some minimal update before Spec III?
If the State of Play is to be believed by calling the Spec III update "1.64", then there shouldn't be.
However I have heard that some smaller details like that can get overlooked or be inaccurate, so there is still a chance. Just not much of one.

If we're keeping track of update-related social media posts still, there was one for the new Scapes yesterday too.

Why do I keep reading on Facebook and Twitter messages like "get well Kaz"? What happened?

To whom is this directed?

Could you provide, like, any examples?
This for example is on the latest GT post, official Facebook page. I don't know if it's just a bunch of people trolling

I don't screenshot everything I see online you know....
Okay, but... you brought it up? Why wouldn't you bring evidence of all of these messages you keep reading everywhere? Can you not go back and screenshot them now or are they vanishing somehow?

This is weird.

Because they appeared on my Twitter feed, (you know it updates all the time) it's either from official pages or not... I don't remember unfortunately. I screenshotted the latest one.
If it's just a troll, good.

Yeah, but the messages don't vanish or self-delete. They're still there.

I've just been through all the Twitter replies to recent posts from the official GT account and from Kazunori Yamauchi's own account and can't find any such replies though.

This is like the "I saw snow/hail on [x] track but forgot to screenshot it" stuff.

I guess the answer to your initial question then is "I don't know, why are you?".

I was thinking over what would Seattle Circuit look like if redesigned for GT7/GT8.

Of course being a city circuit it would likely take some further developmental breakthroughs to even be a starter, and that doesn't account for the fact that like half the track no-longer exists.

But let's say PD were to use the parts of Seattle Circuit that still exist as a starting point, and then redraw the rest of the layout to accommodate the changes in the landscape. What would an ideal layout look like?

I've seen a layout idea here on GTPlanet and on reddit of a revised circuit, but want to see what you all could come up with.

These TGR logos were definitely NOT here 2 months ago. They were either added in the previous update, or the one before:

For reference, here's a photo of the same section I took back in August:

I originally thought it was only at Tokyo Expressway. TGR ads at Blue Moon Bay (an oval) is somewhat amusing to me now that they expanded that brand to NASCAR.

I'd forgotten Blue Moon Bay even existed!

Seemed like every other race in GT Sport was at Blue Moon, but other than the occasional weekly challenge visit to one of the infield layouts it gets little love in GT7.
