Gran Turismo 7 Livery Editor - General Discussion Thread

But not sure if 15 pages is the max.

How many liveries do people have?
Also, I can't browse through my collection, is that a known bug?
I can't speak for the max limit but the collection being stuck on Page 1 has been an on/off issue for months now. You have to use the ingame Showcase to see the other pages.

Usually, I just use liveries shared by other people, but I occasionally make a few of my own.

Sometimes it is a simple as switching the colors of the livery and giving it new number placards.

Sometimes I make liveries that are stylistic tributes to famous cars; here, I have a Suzuki/Mitsubishi Lancer Escudo, and Hellcat & ZL1 replicas of famous American endurance cars.

I usually run real-life liveries as my opponent in my custom races, however, in my 1970s Trans Am and 2019 Super Formula races I built custom period-correct liveries for my own cars to run against the real-life ones I've downloaded from others.

Just a quick question, is it already confirmed we can have an unlimited livery collection?
I'm working on a large project to gather like every SuperGT livery (lol not sure why actually but bored), but my collection is growing like weed.

If anyone wants to join the project:

Here is the sheet with links to all liveries.

Almost one more for your list but I'm struggling with the green paint for now... it's a lot different on every reference photo I have (inside/sunny/cloudy...).

Made a couple more today for the GT300 class in my Super GT 2016 grid. One is an engine-swapped Crown made as a replacement for the Prius GT300, with a lot of the same sponsors. The other is the LT5-swapped Toyota 86 set up as the Team Mach car from 2016.

Love this! I started thinking about doing the same for the 2015 grid using only street cars but couldn't decide which cars to use (was going to try using only the 86 GT and BRZ at first...). Love the idea of throwing in a couple of engine-swapped cars into the mix though, that's a great idea!

So I made a small mistake. Bought the new Alfa Giulia GTAm and took it through the livery editor to experiment with it but never saved anything; the biggest “style” change I made was putting wider stock wheels on it. Now I’m trying to put all the original stickers back on. When I click the “restore original livery” option, none of the badges or mirror stickers come back. Am I screwed? While the car is fairly expensive, I won’t be permanently ruined if I have to buy a new one. Any help is appreciated.

May just be a bug with GT Auto because the decals are stripped off straight away before you make any changes.

Take the car out on track. Do they show up during gameplay? They do for me.

I’ll try that in a little while.
Just messing with these so I can start racing them. Low quality. Applying stripes is a bit silly, as they default off center. Had to guesstimate a little.

Ok so I’m glad it wasn’t just me. I thought the camera angle was a little off when testing out decals last night. Hopefully PD can fix that soon.

It's been a while since I wanted to make this one, but couldn't find the motivation with the masking and the logo decals work.
I finished it a week ago and I've been stuck with the 0% rendering since then :banghead:
And for whatever reason, it finally works!

Put this little bunch together over the weekend.

My take on a new version of a classic Super GT design.

#360 Sumo Power Mustang
Spawned from the idea of making an "underfunded back-marker", it evolved to look a little...less underfunded, but still tried to keep it simple to evoke a "cheap, quick and easy" livery to apply to a real race car.

#60 Alpine Calsonic RS01 GT3
Got a little inspiration from the "So Wrong it's Right" theme being used for LEC 15, as well as the in-game description mentioning that the RS01 uses the same Nismo-built powerplant as the GTR GT3 (and the corporate alliance between Renault and Nissan of course). Still undecided whether it really "fits" the theme of the LEC enough to enter it though.
