This is excellent news but I really was hoping for a track with higher elevations changes like COTA, Monaco, & Summit Point Circuit for a better PSVR2 experience.
I think having less elevation change might be better for some PSVR2 users - certainly is for me. I'm still struggling after nearly 6 months with the Nurburgring...

It would be great to have road cars for all race cars.

But if not with spec III i think it will be eventually.
I wouldn't be so sure. We are still waiting for a road going BMW M6 (to go along the GT3 ones), the Audi RS5 (since we have the DTM one), the road going CLK GTR, the road going F1 GTR "long tail", the race version of the 911 GT1, a single road going Zonda, an Audi quattro/Sport quattro, etc.

PD is more concerned about modeling SUVs and other cars no one wanted. Hundreds of cars that are considered glaring omissions, being pushed back in their priority list.

Lets see what the remaining 4 cars in Spec III end up being. I suspect one of them will be the Xiaomi.

Delighted to have Montreal in the game. Been dying for it ever since the rumor of it appearing began like last year or something, if I recall correctly. Yas Marina is meh, but GT7 will have the best rendition of it and it will look beautiful at night, no doubt. Loving the 4 revealed cars as well too.

I'm most interested to see what they do with the physics/FFB now that Dunlop is the official tire sponsor. Every car kinda feels the same right now. A blend of the 1.49 physics/FFB that doesn't have the issues like Gr. 1 oscillations, Formula cars lacking weight, stupid overpronounced understeer rattle in current FFB etc. would be nice but everyone would probably complain again.

Sadly, EA bought the exclusive license of 911 GT1 race model.

As for the four cars yet to be revealed:

Since the game's launch in '22, we've always had, at least, one Subaru per year via update. This year, we haven't had any yet. I wonder if that will change in Spec III.
I would love to see the Impreza WRX STI wagon '98, after seeing the comback of the FTO and the Skyline's Mine's.

Another one that is very posible is the Fiat Panda.

The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra. That "very soon" in "X" social media It's quite revealing (although it makes me wonder if it could have been presented even earlier...)

For the last one I have no idea, maybe a datamined car...

I feel your pain !

I am now immune to elevation changes in VR, even Eau-Rouge do not trouble me anymore.

Here's a bold take that even I think is crazy.

What if..... that missing 🌶 that has been unavailable throughout career mode, is made available by a game-wide Sophy implementation, essentially giving a second life to the entire career. When PSVR2 was launched in GT7, no one would have guessed that it would be available in every aspect of the game, INCLUDING sport mode. It surprised a lot of people, and as anyone whom switched to VR can attest, it transforms the entire game.

A game-wide Sophy implementation would completely transform GT7 into an almost entirely different game, 3 years into its life, and would buy PD a couple more years until they would have to push GT8 out. Almost every race in career mode (with those that are held on a Sophy-compatible track, excluding inclement weather races), can be duplicated with Sophy custom races. Since SOPHY has essentially been getting trained since GT Sport, I'd be shocked if SOPHY wasn't proficient with all cars and tracks by now. The only question is if she's learned to drive in wet weather.
I thought sophy use to drive with driving assistance enabled.... why cant drive on rain?

So long as Gran Turismo continues to work as a system seller, they aren't going to touch PC. The only reason I have my PS5 is because of GT7 and its fantastic VR experience when compared to PC games (that my PC can't run reliably the way GT7 can).

Which is to say, please update the VR HUD PD. You can give us the old split to leader like you did in GT3/4, that's all I need :indiff:

Well, maybe i don't get what you are saying but of course, the part of the video i posted was a humorous one and not to be taken seriously. It hasn't much to do with what Kaz really said. And me posting it here is partly to the fact that the wild things some are posting here on gtp is part of it.

But i guess that's it. No info, just humor and that is a personal thing, as Famine stated. Of we go to other directions in this thread.
If its just a humor thing, then I retract my earlier statement. Seeing so many "Kaz needs to retire" or "They should Kaz" posts and videos (And the general state of things) often leave me abit cynical with how wildly out of proportion people overreact to a game.

This is the trouble with just reading the transcript. If you actually watch the video (which is quite well done) it comes across far different than you are likely imagining it. It's all tongue in cheek.

Yeah, just humor. This guy had a chuckle about the militant nature of some anti Kaz/PD social media- and gtp-posters. I too just can't grasp the over critical nature of these people.

All in all is still not funny

So, M5 V10 is one of the 4 left car ? :D :D
Personally, I'm hoping (but not necessarily expecting) a first gen M5 with the inline 6. To be fair, I'm also hoping (and very much not expecting) a Mercedes W114/115. So, to be honest, the Dame Edna looking V10 M5 is far more likely to arrive than either of my choices.

Looking forward to the tracks and hoping at least one of the unrevealed cars is a GT series classic like the R390, or a TVR! What is really hope to see though, are drivetrain swaps. We now have multiple swaps for FF cars that give them bonkers power, and they just don't drive well; I want to be able to take the MK1 GTI and make it RWD, for example. Sadly I don't think it'll happen though.

I’d go for the torque distribution on 4WD to be 0:100 and 100:0. The 5:95 is just mean.
Absolutely! Talk about opening up tuning potential. Currently the best you can do is set the VCD to 5-95 and open the diff (LSD) on the front axle (set them all to 5). I'd love to be able to convert more AWD's to full RWD, and even a few to FWD (if I'm trying to replicate the FF model of the vehicle in question). This seems like it would be an easy fix, but what do I know?

Looking forward to two never-tried tracks for me, going to be refreshing!

While we're well into the outlandish ideas portion of this thread I'll toss another into the fire:

Perhaps Spec III will be the 'farewell' update after all? A reveal teaser for GT8 has potential at the GTWS finals IMO.

Especially when this is a real thing:
A FWD Subaru WRX would melt people's minds if it came to GT7 in an update, but I'd love it. At the very least, PD should give us the tools to do it ourselves.

I doubt it. The Spec III update seems to suggest otherwise. With the incoming updates to Sport Mode and the Weekly Challenges it seems likely PD are planning to support this game a while longer than many of us had previously thought. Including me. You don't overhaul your online functionality if your game is on the way out the door. I reckon we are looking at another year or perhaps longer before that will be happening. I could be wrong, but it sure looks that way to me.
