Kaz said once it can't be done because tunes depend on parts as well. Like sharing a tune with manually set gears and trying to apply it to a car that doesn't have the upgraded gear box would break the game, or at least, the tune. You would need to share the "whole car".
Surely you can detect that the current car doesn’t have a custom transmission, and show the offer to buy it?

They kind of do this already with styles, if a style has certain visual car parts, and you don’t have them for your car, you’ll get the option to buy them as part of applying the style.
I wonder if permanent tuning parts are an issue as well, though adjustable parts (suspension/transmission) are non-permanent.

Aero parts would also an issue because wing options affect downforce range.

Stuff like certain engine upgrades, weight reduction, body rigidity and wide body kits are irreversible.

Wish we can remove these on the fly (like back in GT6), because if you want to undo these changes or have a completely stock car, you're better off buying another example of the car you just tuned.

True, I didn’t think about that, permanent parts. And downforce too indeed could be an issue. Without a lot of complex code I don’t know how you’d get around that.

Maybe it could be non permanent for tuning sheets as @GBalao888 mentions, for aero, maybe the downforce values simply don’t transfer over in that case.

Or maybe the sheet is marked as needing specific aero parts.

I wonder if one of the secret cars might be the Lamborghini Huracan STO just because of Mines R34 as both were in the GT movie scanned
🤔
Don't take the GT Movie scanning scene as a gospel - it is a dramatization of the process. The Z-Tune that was in that was not a real one either.

I hope the update improves user-friendliness.
All those countless clicks to make a few small changes just before the race starts are incredibly annoying. Especially the menu structure changes depending on whether it's a race or a qualifying session. In the former, you have to be careful not to accidentally change cars.
I would also like to be able to choose which scenes of the car in the garage are displayed. There are cars that are beautiful or really cool on the outside, but simply ugly on the inside. I would like to have the option to only display the car from the outside.
I also find it a bit outdated to only be able to access the tuning shop from the map. I don't know how many hours of my life have been lost just because I wanted/had to go back there after a race.
Finally, a suggestion for improvement regarding the visual tuning. Please, PD, include the engine swap and the body widening in the visual tuning. Because then we only have one loading time for changes to the vehicle.

Everyone talking up the GT Movie cars. I get this for my 6* DWG.

I have a wild prediction.

Toyota Hypercar was added quite soon after GT7 release. It was also very fresh car because it was curently racing in 2022

Well… what if PD just can’t show one of the cars?
