Just to add, the top brands with the most up to date real production cars(including real race cars and emergency vehicles) from this decade(2020-2026) are:

Toyota: 6(possibly 7 depending on year of the RAV4)
Honda: 4
Nissan: 3
Porsche:3
Mazda: 2(soon to be 3)
Subaru: 2
Super Formula: 2
Hyundai: 1(soon to be 2)
Genesis: 1
Alfa Romeo: 1
Chevrolet: 1
Maserati: 1
Aston Martin: 1
Peugeot: 1
Tesla: 1
AFEELA: 1
Toyota remains king at 7
Mazda at 3
Hyundai with 2

That WTC700 Alsace harks back to the Gr.4 Mission race in GT Sport. I’d have preferred an event at Spa, Nurb or Sainte Croix.

Why are some people claiming tomorrow’s State of Play has something to do with the fact this update is coming on a Wednesday instead of the usual Thursday?
There were initial rumours of SOP being on Thursday so it was logical to move out the update to the prior day due Marketing straregy, but now seeing the SoP is the same day of the update that reason is debunked lol

There are times the "community" doesn't understand the gravitas of it's demands. I'd stop listening too.
Adding meaninful content like a brand new track is not out of this world. Adding more championships and better events isn't too much to ask for. Maybe, adding cars that have some sort of history like a freaking M5, for example, would make a lot of people happy too.

But, when you continously add an unnecesary **** ton of Vision GT and mom cars that are not meant to be driven fast nor use in a track, then it may be worth opening your ears again...

Looks like the FJ40 that PD scanned came from the Toyota Museum

Please, ake me through the "not out of this world" process of adding a track.

This RAV4 isn't a 2.5L 4 cylinder? That's all that's coming up on Google for this specific model with no mention of a CVT nor hybrid

The JDM Adventure appears to be a 2.0 4WD with an 8 speed auto, but what I've been reading on searching for the model's internal code (MXAA54) it's a damn CVT. So not much in the way of adding power as usual.

I kind of agree. I feel like they only represent the part of car history that they want, not the whole completely. However, mom Cars have always been a part of GT, back then it was with an Sentra/Ford Ka, now with suvs.

How do you think PD determines what they want to represent?

Trust me, you really don't

You can create a MUCH better endurance race with Sophy. MUCH MUCH MUCH better. For the PS4 people, you're SOL
To be more specific, it's not just the existence of more endurance races in general that I'd like, but specifically stuff like the BAC Mono one-make at Trial Mountain, or the one at Alsace - Village featuring vintage cars under a certain PP threshold. Plus, even if we're not necessarily on the topic of endurance races, I still think we could see more mission sets coming, since the last drag race mission implies there are more like it to come. (Something to do with how the length of the drag race is notably longer than the others, and yet there's just one like it, whereas the relatively shorter drag races had a few.)

In regards to the significance of the Hyundai Elantra(ELANTRA?) N in the GT franchise, it’s the newest FF four door sport sedan since these “newest” four door sport sedans, in GT6. Twenty years older than the Elantra/ELANTRA:

Edit: Honda Civic Type R '08
  • Opel Vectra 3.2 V6 ‘03
  • SRT SRT4 ‘03
  • Vauxhall Vectra 3.2 V6 ‘03
  • Volvo S60 T-5 Sport ‘03

That’s it. That’s crazy.

FF four door sport sedans other than the ones above are:

  • Alfa Romeo 156 2.5 V6 24V ‘98
  • Alfa Romeo 166 2.5 V6 24V Sportronic ‘98
  • Honda Accord Euro-R ‘00
  • Honda Acoord Euro R ‘02
  • Mazda 323F ‘93 Mazda Familia Sedan Sport 20 ‘02
  • Mazda Protege ‘02
  • Nissan Primera 2.0 Te ‘90
  • Nissan Primera 20V(JDM & EU) ‘01

In my search so far, all I have found is the 8 Speed Auto for the Adventure model. Any mention of CVT (Either the K120 CVT or the Aisin Seiki T110 eCVT) Seem to specifically be for the Hybrid and "Prime" models.

Have you tried the Sophy custom races yet? Go check the custom race thread. Yes, it's a pain because you have to buy and build all the cars, but it's there and it's REALLY good
