Patch notes are up

The only thing of note that we didn't already know is a Hagerty revision. The next one isn't scheduled until February, which might be the clearest sign yet that support for things that aren't cars are slowing down now.
Or maybe PD just listened to players who don't necessarily enjoy playing "Real Inflation Simulator" and decided to make those price updates less frequent :)

P.S. Does anyone know what happened to Eggstor? I was looking for his threads with revised prices in LCD, he was doing a fine job (which doesn't mean I like those revisions :D )

I hope this means what I think it means.
Ok so, not quite what I had in mind, but probably better?

So the hybrid system now pushes the car past 200 km/h and drops off until 240 km/h, before letting the car accelerate to about 300 km/h on its ICE alone, that's at 86% ECU on fuel map 6.

The system is able to recharge itself and stay full so long as you drive around the track normally, which means this car is now perfectly usable in longer races.

However, though this change seems to have tamed the beast, so to speak, it's only really locked it's full power behind the big red button labelled "warp drive" that is the overtake function now, which discharges the system at a much higher rate.

It does still slowly recover if you use it though, but it takes a while. Think of it as how nitrous works in need for speed, self-replenishing.

My previous post/wish/request did not come true...

But can't really complain when I can shoehorn a LS7-Rampage into the engine bay.🤣

I quite like this update. The Elantra is going to be good fun, the Rav4 is good to drive if a little wobbly. The Land Cruiser will be a laugh, the Corsa didn't feel too bad and I take back anything I said about the Mazda.

At least Hyundai were kind enough to give the Elantra a sport steering wheel. ;)

Well, I just built my first Elantra N1 Cup Car. Here are the specs:

Gotta praise PD and Hyundai for doing the widebody proper and all the affiliated parts. They even did the accurate tow strap.

Only problem is the placement of the single race exhaust. Instead of straight down the middle like the rear Cup Car, it’s on the right rear cut-out.
Mind sharing the parts and tunning parts?
Thanks

Why the Roadster 12R is not (yet) tunable (Japanese): https://car.watch.impress.co.jp/docs/news/2042832.html
---
Because it is based on the pre-release Roadster 12R development vehicle, its specifications have not been disclosed, and there are some differences between the in-game vehicle and the commercially available vehicle. Furthermore, in order to allow players to experience the Roadster 12R in its raw form first, tuning will not be possible for a certain period of time after its addition in the update.
This reminds me of BMW M4 Coupe at GT6's launch, back it didn't yet have an interior. (It was tunable in 1.14.)

The RAV4 maxed out can reach 414 BHP. Probably the best SUV to be included in an update, since it has 4WD with Torque Distribution, and no CVT or Hybrid system to hinder it.

Hope it gets an engine swap in the future. :D

With everything that pointed to it being a CVT, even on a Toyota press release, this is the best outcome we could have ever hoped for.

That's the thing I still don't understand. It should be a CVT, since that's the standard transmission for Adventure 2.0L, with only the 2.5L getting an automatic. At least, that's what I found when I searched for this gen of RAV4 sometime ago, so maybe I'm wrong.

Even the Playstation Blog post said it was a CVT: https://blog.playstation.com/2025/09/23/gran-turismo-7-update-1-63-available-today/. I guess it's a "Direct Shift".... whatever that means.

I ain't complaining though. It's actually fun to drive, and fully maxed out the RAV4 sounds great too. Wish the other slow SUVs were this great.

I spent a while digging into it previously and the answer is "it depends on the market".

There's no consistency in what the Adventure model offers in terms of engine or gearbox, with the US-market car, EU-market car, and Japanese-market car all coming with different options. As a RHD car, this one is a UK or Japan (or Australia) model, and isn't likely to be either EU or US, but I got bored at that point because CVTs make me sleepy so I stopped caring what was available with what and how.

My remote play isn’t connecting.
  • Only parts needed are racing exhaust and Full ECU to make 318 BHP. One click detuned drops power to 314 BHP.
  • Weight reduction 2, adjust ballast to 1290kg.
  • Wide body, swan neck rear wing, lower wheel diameter to 18”.

PD & Hyundai have set the stock car with some interesting settings. There is Toe-in for front and rear wheels. Plus, the dampers values are higher than most cars in the game!
I set the suspension, diff and gear ratios(the Elantra has 8 forward gears) to Mazda3 Gr.4 specs, as I’ve done for all my FF race tunes.

As for the Elantra tuned to the real car specs, it’s awesome. Smooth, easy to drive. Sounds cool outside of the car in the Pit Garage PSVR2 Showroom. From inside, sounds fine.

Driving in PSVR2.
The outboard mirrors display blind spot warnings. The instrument screen show fuel readout distance to empty(at each race start I noticed 150km distance to empty). There are active boost and Torque displays. Speed and gear display. The tachometer has a needle and lights that illuminate in a half circle beginning at the bottom and light up either side of the arc and connect at the top of the arc.
The steering wheel is cool and the way the console is laid out, the car feels like the Mazda3 Gr.4 and Genesis G70 Gr.4 in design of the amenities. Everything is compact and doesn’t distract. Good fun.

They haven't updated the extra menu car collection! Ii think that's the first time thats happend in an update. Its a great way to earn a 6 start ticket for us car collectors. Why PD?

This is the part that’s got me curious, the gearbox’s available for this generation of RAV4 at a glance, don’t even mention a 10 speed gearbox, only the 8 speed Direct Shift Automatic comes close.

That was until I did some light reading up on the K120 CVT gearbox that is available for this Generation of RAV4, it has 1 physical gear and 9 simulated gears, same number of gears like the one we have in game.

So yes, the RAV4 Adventure we have does have a CVT, just one that gives us the ability to tune and adjust it. 👍
