button config, GT4 style, improvements can be made (I don't like the button icons, for example) It's not finished but I don't think I am going to work on it anymore:

Simply select any setting and press a button to assign a button, this screen here would be the "input screen" in the previous screen in the bottom bar "hotkeys" are displayed instead of the "Waiting for input," in this case the hot key is the square button, a single press reset the currently highlighted setting, if you hold it down all settings are set to default, I think a 1 sec hold would be just fine.

I'm too lazy to finish this and even make it look good. But can anyone do one like this?
Finish this.jpg

You know basically like GT6 but cleaner and a better showroom maybe, and that you get the option to select trim level on the car. Instead of seeing all those Skylines and Miatas side by side, why not list only one car and get to see all the versions when viewing it, and from there get to select the trim / region version? You get the idea.

That's a nice montage. I'm planning to do this montage similiar to this. 👍

Can't wait to see it :) I wish I was more patient doing this. Looks so bad haha. But oh well
It doesn't look bad for a beginner. I have been busy doing another stuff, so that's why I haven't done montages, but I'm thinking ideas. Any ideas for me making a montage?

Wouldn't call myself a beginner per say, but too restless atm to do it properly and spend time on it. Haha.

Well a good idea is as I said in my post to make all models listed under one, so that there is a "Select trim/model" when viewing the car. Instead of 50 Miatas side by side why not list all of them under just one view? If you know what I mean. :) kinda like when you visit a dealership online. You browse your car, and from there you select which model of that car. Like, Dodge > Charger > SRT8 / R/T etc.

That's an great idea! So, if the duplicates are deleted, then the space will be freed for another important cars like the Ford Escort RS Cosworth, for example.

Well, when I did my first montage, I knew that I had to improve and I'm still learning to do montages properly.

Tried to make a better version of the track selection screen, using the GT6 one as a base. All the variations/layouts would be placed under the main locations, so it would be easier to find and scroll through all the tracks. And on the bottom you could select all the different categories (World/Original/City, etc) without leaving the screen, like in GT5.

I would use this same concept for the car dealerships. Say you go to Mitsubishi, there you find the Mirage, FTO, GTO, Lancer, etc, then you go to Lancer, and there you find all its variations.

I looked through the whole thread and I've seen some amazing things. Last year I had done a few screens too, but they were far more amateur than these, though after seeing this thread I've decided to make some new ones. Maybe I'll post them tomorrow after they're complete.

By the way, nice job everyone. 👍

GT Auto Part 1: Inspired by GT4 and GT5 versions.

The one in the middle column, second to the right is PDI/GT wheels. Sorry.
(Note the right arrow on the side)

When I saw "Wheel Selection" then "MOMO", I automatically thought it was steering wheels, now THTA would be awesome too! A nice menu like this (reminiscent to that of GT4 & 3) for steering wheels would be delcicious! (y)

MAIN MENU:

The main menu would be very similar to the one in GT6, but now on the Career Mode you would have 2 separate careers, one for Gran Turismo and one for Tourist Trophy.

And in the Special Events you would have the races with cars and bikes on track at the same time.

mmKuilS.jpg

CAREER MODE:

The Career would be similar to Project Cars, you could choose any of the 12 categories from the start and work your way through the subclasses. (i.e. on the Kart category you would go from Junior > 100cc > 125cc > Superkart)

The way it would work is that you wouldn't need to buy the cars to enter a race, they could just give you a ''rent'' option with a standard fee. That way you can start on the expensive classes without the need to grind for money.

And here's the Tourist Trophy part:

The Side Events would be races that can be entered with any vehicle, so if you lack the money to start another category you could just do those.

It's been a long time since I last made a UI design. Well, here's my design for the course maker menu. A player basically chooses the location they want to start out with before designing the track. Though, I do have plans on what the course maker should be like.
GT7 Course Maker.png

Notes:
- The locations are laid out and the one colorized is the selected location with its name labelled.
- I personally would like to see a course maker where the user can alter the angle of each corner of the track they're designing and change the surface. Maybe they could make a turn banked like on a Nascar track as an example.
- The locations can also serve as a base for the environment they want. Note, these aren't all of the locations I would have in the course maker, it's just the first page.
- I got rid of the banner that I originally had for my last menu designs once in for all. I just didn't think it was necessary and it felt odd to me.
- The only information to appear on the bottom of my menus now are the following: Time, car the player is currently in, the amount of money, and the menu option.

I find this very Peugeot 908 HDI FAP-able.

But there is one tiny thing that bugs me, the fact that there is a classic start button fron the DS3 & previous gen controllers on the menus, whereas there is an options button on the PS4, no start button, so why is there one there? *heavy breathing & OCD intensifies*

But otherwise, I personally find this the most complete function & design of menus on this thread so far, already better than what PD have done for GT6, although personally, I find the design not GT7-ish, as every GT game has a whole new menu design, whereas this is very similar to GT6, but WAAAY more stylish and fucntional.

I also LOVE how you present the different racign classes & catagories with those pictures of the cars/bikes in the background only showing their front/side, its soo cool, never seen anything done like that before anywhere, so yeah, very unique & thoughtful! (y)

Oops, you're right. Totally forgot how they have changed the buttons on the controller. :banghead:

Will try to fix that later.

I saw this post a while ago, And I decided to try it myself :P I don't think my designs are something out of this world compared to some of the posts in this forum, But i'm satisfied with them :D Main Menu with options from GT3-4 and a bit of GT5 in terms of design :)

Here's the "Arcade Mode" screen, All the normal options... I was going to put "Clear Status" from GT3, but I decided to replace it with a "New Feature", It's like Gran Turismo's Forzavista, explore the cars, interior, exterior, etc. :)

Hope you like them! :D
I'm currently working on the "Simulation Mode" screen, Car dealerships and a ton of things I have in mind :)

Wow, this thread has really kicked back into life! There are so many fantastic new pieces by @Farushi, @Perotonia786 and @TheChallenger.

Keep 'em coming everybody.

Below is a pretty basic piece I admit. The vision for this Car Award screen is that the door opens and the headlights turn on. When the door is fully opened the car drives out and turns slightly to it's left, as the name on the ground fades to nothing, and we are presented with a graphic where we choose what colour we want.
