The one that wins.

Someone mentioned doing this -- their name escapes me -- and I tried it to great success:

B-Spec the Miata challenge and win a Furai Concept. Give it the largest turbo. Tune the downforce and gearing. Use it to win Like the Wind and obtain the Toyota 88C-V. Use the 88C-V to crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentation of their women.

The one that wins.

Thats effin funny! You sure your PSN isnt GTP_Conan?

so to get the minolta im assuming u completed "like the wind" im using a corvette like everyone says but still no luck... what did you use?

I used a fully pumped up Zonda R :) (b-spec GT world champ prize). Used it for both the allstars and the like the wind (like the wind is actually so much easier with the minolta after u won it...)

i used a modified 458 Italia and had no worries - all wins and a gold fairly easily and a Veyron as the prize to boot...

You're thinking the GT World Championship.

I used the mazda furai for the indy track and a mclaren f1 for the daytona infield race

Yes, I mentioned this, I used the furai for both Like the wind races and used the MINOLTA Toyota for the rest.

I beat it with the Vette RM ,tune your transmission for max speed around 430km *260ish miles* and draft as long as possible . What I did is catch up to the 1st guy on the 2nd lap and stayed right behind him until the last lap where I overtook him on the last section of the track .The Indy track is pretty easy as you just accelerate a lot quicker out of the turns .Once you do this you get the Minolta and destroy everything else

The zr1 race mod and soft racing tires and some engine upgrades it's hard to fail. I spun out in the grass and still won. I think it's at a little over 800hp. Not a vette guy buy that thing was amazing. Launched like the bugatti but stuck like glue in the turns. In the 2nd race the AI spun me before the finish and I still finished 2nd going backwards. The only reason they were close enough to spin me was I screwed up on some turns prior to the end. The 2nd time I tried the AI was nowhere in site when I crossed the line. The ZR1 was over 500-600 k though. The expense was worth it. That minolta is amazing. I get a little turned on just hearing the motor! fiancé is starting to wonder why I want to hit the bedroom after I drive the minolta! :sly:

I actually just took the first race fairly easily using a tuned Veyron, and with a lot of tweaking and a trick or two this was an easy race, even after spinning out. I set the the front/rear heights to -25/+25, springs 14.5/16.5, dampers to 6 front and rear both settings, transmission to 370(kmh), LSD lowest on front, 20/30/25 on rear, 15/85 differential, and racing soft/soft.
This track is tough because while this helps the cornering a great deal, you'll still be leaving the ground on occasion, and I found the best method to race this track is to combine braking before the turn along with a bit of drift turns.

One tip I STRONGLY recommend (works great with this car) is to just punch it on the long stretch through the tunnel, and rather than braking to avoid your car lifting on the bump, just keep the gas pinned until your front end lifts. At that point just hold the wheel completely to the left and max brake until the car comes under control. you should be almost completely turned for the next stretch, so give it full gas and away you go May only buy you a few seconds per lap, but every second counts here.

update: I actually won the entire championship with just the bugatti, 450/500 points because of finishing 4th in the cape ring (lost by a good 40 seconds, so perhaps the veyron's not such a good choice for that race) and 1st in the other 4. Only time I changed the settings from the original was to up it to 420kmh (255mph-ish) for the nurburgring, in which I crashed multiple times, dropped to 4th, got back to 1st, dropped back to 3rd, then took 1st back with 6 seconds left in the race with a Hail Mary collision. I actually saved that replay just because of how terribly I raced and how lucky I got.

Anyways, long story short. Other than cape ring, Veyron can win each race with a bit of skill.
