@jay20Q

I made a Thread

Hey look, the lupo disc 2 undumped "mod" version, at least im driving on fuji xd

Just wanted to share, it would seem a second known copy of Lupo demo 2 was auctioned semi-recently, a sealed copy.

Will definitely be sold to a rich collector who doesn't want to break the seal. I don't have high hopes that this build will be dumped when it's sold.

I can ask my contacts if they have bought the build. I'm not going to put any money into it.

Oh my God, it's here! There's another copy!

I really hope that whoever buys it manages to archive it this time.

Is the buyout price usually that high for demos like these?
It costs more than a moped here!

It would appear the auction of that particular third copy of GT Lupo Cup Training Version 2 just got re-opened. This time, it'll close at 13 June 2026 at 08:31:54 (JST), and is slightly cheaper than originally (around ¥100,000 less).

Looks like there's another auction of the Lupo Cup Training Version 2 demo build:

Still the same copy we've seen earlier, but a new auction and now another ¥100,000 less in terms of price.

EDIT: The auction just ended right now. The demo's been sold to whoever is behind the only bid in the whole auction for ¥500,000. I hope it still gets dumped/preserved though. We will have to see if that becomes the case by next month or so...

GT Concept build playable during Polyphony's GT4 testing and development day at Twin Ring Motegi on July 23, 2003.

Probably made before Lupo Cup Training Version 2, so it's probably the actual first normally-playable appearance of Fuji Speedway in the series. Bizarrely enough, an improved version of the GT4 E3 2003 build was also playable alongside this particular GT Concept build at the Motegi West paddock on the very same day.

Welp. Yas Marina can go home, we got Autumn Ring Mini. When this gets dumped, that's going right in my Sunday Cup Race 1.

Nice to see the visual updates on Fuji and Tsukuba, I hope they come with improved AI pathing.

It would be really nice if we know all the hidden cars in there as well. We know that there are these variants of the Pescarolo Courage C60 Peugeot '03, as well as an extremely unfinished model of seemingly Toyota Motor Triathlon Race Car, but I am curious to see if there is more to see in terms of hidden cars in the demo.

I'd be very happy if some of the unfinished muscle cars from the Subaru build have their dusk and night models finished now. The existing GT Concept content has expanded the European and Japanese rosters quite a bit, but there's been very little usable American content because most of them don't have their lights or textures figured out.

Miskaroni of the Gran Turismo 3: Concept mod has been getting some of those cars in working order, but as of right now that level of editing is above my pay grade, and I'm trying not to steal any of his work for my personal projects.

Somebody posted a gameplay video featuring the beta Pescarolo C60 2003 in its actual original specs and stats racing around Fuji Speedway, complete with its own name and its own manufactuer logo + vehicle banner. Not to mention the reveal that the #18 livery is actually in yellow, as opposed to green as I originally thought.

I’ve updated the thread again after just under two years. 😅

We’ve done it – we’ve finally preserved all known demo builds of GTC! It’s been a long journey, but we’ve finally made it! I’d like to thank everyone who supported the project by posting information here and providing the builds!

Now all that’s missing are the internal/event builds, which are listed here.

Gran Turismo 24H Le Mans 2003

Gran Turismo Concept 2003 Twin Ring Motegi Press Day Demo Build

I’m hopeful that we’ll see these builds one day, as two ‘internal’ builds from GT3 have been released. (Gran Turismo 3 "Internal Use Only" 09/10/00 & Gran Turismo 3: A-SPEC "Internal Version" 09/04/01 )

Welcome back, Paiky. Don't forget to mention the 24H Le Mans 2003 build as well as the July 23, 2003 build (the one that was played on Motegi, featuring Loctite Zexel GT-R at Fuji Speedway; info about that one in the GT Concept demos page in GT Wiki).

After going through the Lupo 2 files, it appears that the only new cars are the new Lupo, the Pescarolo, and the incomplete Toyota.

The Lupo doesn't have dusk/night models, so it can't be easily dropped into GT3.

There are seven versions of the Pescarolo, the only differences being the number and the color of the seat area:
pe0014: Red #17 & Yellow #18
pe0015: Red #1
pe0016: Green #2
pe0017: Blue #3
pe0018: Orange #4
pe0019: Yellow #5
pe0020: White #6

All of them have complete dusk/night models with working headlights.

There don't appear to be any updates to existing cars. I'd say the real stars of this version are the in-progress tracks, many of which look far better than they did in the Subaru build. You can even use the pit stop at Fuji Speedway, though it doesn't look like the computer drivers can.

I see... I can only theorize that at that point (July/August 2003), any new car model that Polyphony made at that time were added straight into the early beta GT4 database, instead of adding them to the GT Concept database and then copying them into the early beta GT4 database like they did in Lupo Cup Training Version 1 and in Subaru Driving Simulator Version. Meaning that any new cars added to early beta GT4 at that time, are not in GT Concept by the time Lupo Cup Training Version 2 got compiled (sans that extremely unfinished WIP Toyota Motor Triathlon Race Car '03).

Strangely enough, Polyphony did not even carry over this new method into the tracks, which they still updated in the GT Concept database by August 4, 2003 in the same method as back in April/May 2003; even added newly made WIP track models in the GT Concept devbuilds first (like nursnow and such) before copying all these updated and/or newly-made track models into the under-development GT4 devbuilds. It just goes to show how intriguing and interesting GT4's development period really was.
