So, I'm maxing out the collector's level again probably.

Not a surprise when I have just about every car in the game plus duplicates of a good chunk of them. I have 3 Mclaren F1s for instance and I'm not proud of that. I was trying to collect it in different colors for a video.

Speaking of, the new car viewer and vintage modes should make things easier for when I remake said video.

Did the F355 actually participate in any other racing series besides the Ferrari Challenge and JGTC?

I‘ve been looking for inspiration for new liveries but didn‘t find a lot via Google.

It was specifically built for the challenge series and that's all. JGTC was a GT300 conversion.

It tried to qualify for Le Mans but also raced in multiple less known endurance races.

A GT300-spec F355 did enter Daytona 24h in 2000 and 2001:

EDIT: There's also some of them in BPR's lower classes, as well as an obscure ADAC GT entry:

Patch notes are available.

So I guess defunct manufacturers like Pontiac and Plymouth won't have "vintage" sections, unless they're being added to Brand Central in this update.
They have indeed been added to Brand Central according to the patch notes.

Pah. Update downloaded and installed and the server has not gone into maintenance. Can't play though. Version doesn't match. Have to wait for the server to do its maintenance thing then I can spend time at Sugo with all the non VGT cars.

Big update. Lot more in there than I thought.

Nothing too major outside of what was already announced.
A few minor physics and tuning changes, and some new engine swaps.

yeah it says the servers are in maintenance until 9:00 BST. Gonna have to wait another 1.5 hours until we can play for real, but Sugo can still be driven in the offline mode it seems.

unfortunately the first part of the spec iv has been a dissapointment for me because they have introduced only 6 new races and the game in my opion needs many more new races in singleplayer (apart of a total rework of the online mode)

If a car is listed by a Used Car Dealer, would it also be listed on Vintage and Car Concierge?

I guess Hagerty is still a partner, I remember that rumor going around.

Suspension settings changed for Gr. cars, maybe to address some of the criticism of the new default settings after the last update? Nothing for the overly-strong brakes though...
