What a fail for those experience challenges, featuring only non Japanese Asian brands and EV boats. I hope we get something more substantial for the other brands in the future.

I'm waiting patiently for next 24 hours....

I wonder if Autumn Ring is going to feature in the new intro movie at all, before it's even in the game as a playable track. Having Spec IV split across 2 updates could lead to that weird scenario. If it does feature, then we might have a look at some different angles & sections of the track than we've already seen.

Just speculation but maybe part 2 will include all nostalgic GT cars and their modern versions? We’re getting a classic track and the e60, so maybe the g90/g99 will accompany it? Then they could also include the Audi C5 rs6 with the newer C8? Idk

So I guess defunct manufacturers like Pontiac and Plymouth won't have "vintage" sections, unless they're being added to Brand Central in this update.
Yeah, I wonder if they will now be present there, perhaps even with a museum section. I'm eager to see what they have to tell to us about TVR's history.

Nobody saw that, right? :embarrassed:

Anyway, that controller is... a lot.
I think the controller design is a bit busy and seems suited for a Gran Turismo 4 collectors edition.. in an alternate reality where GT4 was on PS5. 😅

Great write up as usual yo!

The new Experience feature already falls flat to me. Another half finished feature for which we will have to wait for 3 years before it is complete, if ever.

Only 6 new events at World Circuits... That's even less than Spec III which was already far less than Spec II.

Vintage and Car Concierge are nice addition especially for new players. The same goes for Car Viewer, though I suspect its arrival is linked to Sony dropping support for PSVR2.

Only one thing caught my attention and here it is:

Screenshot from the the new intro : or pit lanes are now properly integrated and you con see your opponents in it, or this is just for the sake of showing some action on video.
That’s a seriously good catch!

I love the pit cinematics in GT7 but it always felt kinda weird being the only car, visually represented during a pit stop while fueling up and changing tires. 😅

We’ll havta wait till the update to find out if this is indeed, a new improvement. 😄

Feel like it would work so much better if it were simpler. The carbon part is absolutely fine as is the stripes (A nod to the Ford GT LM Race car Spec II), but the other stuff feels abit excessive. Less would work way better because thinking about it, GT branding is typically very simple.

More F355 Challenge references? Asking the player to take the Ferrari to Sugo, specifically.

Just had a thought: It'll be funny if there's an option in GT Auto to add the 348 side strakes to the F355.

I will definitely have to make at least 3 purchases of this model, just like the Mazda ɛ̃fini RX-7 Type R (FD) '91 with all it's visual options.
omg it's like someone left a Testarossa in the dryer too long <3

With the release of the GT DualSense controller on Thursday, December 10th we most likely now have a date for part 2 of the Spec 4 update.
I tried to predict the release of Part 1, but I was wrong so I prefer not to speak lol 🤐
Yay! That could be 12 new races into 4 months then!
It remains very disappointing, albeit predictable.
ALL the event system of GT7 needs an overhaul and abandon the current one...
Hell, give me back my GT League format from GT Sport (With some GT2 Arcade OST 🤌) and add some championships like we used to have back in the day.

That way Poly' will find the true nostalgia feeling we all looking for, it would be good for the 30 years anniversary Yamauchi-san talked about ;)
(PS : i'm 🧢'ing, this all new format thing will most likely be for GT8...)

Also helps to know they’re not holding back cars like some people used to think.
That’s actually hard to tell their is nothing that proves they are holding back cars or not. But they need to start think about next gt. And if they want some new cars for the next title, some content has to be hold back if it’s going to release let’s say 2 years they can’t bring all the cars they have if they want to have a good increase of new cars for their next title, I remember reading kaz saying they make around 60 cars a year which is more than we been getting. But maybe that has changed.

I would not blame them if they decide to hold back cars. We have got a lot of cars and even tracks for free. And getting 2 major updates for an 4,5 years old game can’t be taken for granted. I think the support has been pretty good for the most part.

thinking about it - I guess what I'm most looking forward to is the number of events at Sugo

I love the idea of an evo version of an in game GT car just like in real life with GT3 cars. You could argue that they could've just included the evo updates in GT Auto like they did the Ferrari 296 GT3 and left a car slot open for something new but I'm not unhappy. Look forward to comparing the evo version to the original.
