To get an invite without even signing up really spits in the face of those who did and weren't considered :D
They must be playing pin the tail on a donkey with PSN accounts names on a board at PD HQ :lol:
 
It all looked pretty solid and overall I was impressed with the graphics, improved sound and UI. The garage looked great. He didn't try to see if there was any photomode available ;)

I also didn't expect you were able to play 'offline' a few tracks and races. Most other menus are all greyed out.

I hope to test this out in the next few weeks as they roll out the numbers:sick:, if not good luck to the lucky ones. I am sure more an more will start getting codes soon once the online features start getting tested, and remember not everyone is on GTP and a good driver, millions will buy this game for the name, graphics and for a fun DS4/auto car game with all the assists on for fun with the family. 👍

i guess he will end up with a lower driver rating. so i will be able to avoid him if the GT Sports rating system works :)

Looking at actual gameplay footage, i'm not really impressed by the graphics. Take away the new trees and it looks a bit GT6-ish even (but that might be the crappy Youtube quality). Those promo shots and scapes from the past year had me fooled :dopey:.

No. That's wrong. I have never seen any racing driver with the hands like that. If you loose the back, you wont have the grip necessary in your hands to get the control of the car.

Not to start an argument, but how much track experience do you have? I did the two day ///M Drivers school at the Thermal Club in Palm Springs last spring, and it is what a whole host of professional racing drivers taught us. I have also attended 3 different local driving schools who all taught the same.
I am not implying that some drivers don't wrap their thumb. Nor saying it is a bad practice. I am just saying that wrapping your thumb around the wheel is not necessarily gaining anything. If the steering wheel is providing so much torque on your hands that you can't control it with your fingertips than you probably have bigger problems.
Here is a good example of driving with a 'loose' grip. Notice how the driver has a pretty firm grip on the straights, but once he starts getting into the corners and the tires start squealing he loosens up, often putting his thumbs up on the rim edge instead of wrapping around it.

And here is a short video I took while riding along with Johnathan Bomarito, notice how relaxed his grip is.

Ah, yes! You are correct, and I hope the beta plays a role in making that system work reasonably well off the bat.

Still, I think it would be a good idea to have "OPEN" servers that encourage all skill levels to get in and race *edit* together - race together. Like current GT6 quick match, but without malicious wreckers.
 
It's clearly a planned case to get a casual GT player to stream driving action. Wise move from them 👍

Yes I am. Promo shots looked like GTS had the best graphics around, whilst seeing actual in game footage the environments look a lot less detailed than that and graphics seem on par with what the competition offers.

I think is because the builds we have seen is on PS4 Pro at 1080p. This guy is probably playing with PS4 base at 720p

I'm not sure if you're watching the stream I am right now, but there's one thing for sure; this looks a hell of a lot better than the competition. AC doesn't even come close.

Official GT facebook said that the Beta is now live.
So anyone that has codes now are the ones in.
But stay tuned for a wider beta access to our loyal fans.
 
whats with the 'your qualifying time' in the sports mode? where do you set that time? and can you get several goes at it?

At the moment, posts are being removed for one of two reasons:
1. Being a dick
2. Being part of a chain of quotes that originates with someone who was being a dick

If you don't think you were being a dick, then it's likely you've either quoted someone who was, or been part of a chain of quotes that started with someone being a dick - and of course since their post was removed for being a dick, subsequent ones have been also.
