Very brave opinion

I don’t think that’s fair. Yes, there are pure haters on here claiming they’re on their way out, and who cares if the door hits their derrière on the way out. There are also several people who get labelled as haters even though they enjoy the game greatly, but still have legitimate constructive feedback and/or personal desires for the direction of the game.

r/whooosh. It's a joke son.

On related note I do really hope Spa is in the update at some time.

Yeah, got it. Still stand by the statement. People equate constructive criticism & voiced desires as not liking the game which is not true.

Ok! Here is my unpopular opinion as listed:

1 - We need a better rewarding system. Especially for online. Also the ranking system should be much more better. Team ranking would be nice.

2 - There should be weekend league type of event (not something like FIFA) According to the number of races you enrolled in week and your SR and DR, you can be able to enter specific type of events.

3 - There should be different type of events. Such as knock out type of events. 20 laps of endurance for every lap the last one will be out. I mean, if somepeople are calling this game as simcade, lets put some additional arcade type of events as well. I am not saying making GT into NFS; just different type events.

4 - 3-5 player teams would be sooooo nice. And think about endurance race for 100 laps, you are doing the first 25 and your friends are doing the others.

Could you explain your team ranking idea? What would be the purpose of it?

This isn't an unpopular opinion. It isn't even really an opinion. That's just a wish.

the issue is, in gt sport, we have connection to only two things: nation and manufacturer which will be only accessible through FIA races. If we can create some teams, we can race as a teams and we can collect some point not only for ourselves but also for our teams. If there would be team, there would be team based races as well but team would be starting point.

By this, there would be an additional motive to race and motive to do the best.

ok lets make it like this: IMO, gt sport need to have team system that we can enroll and race for not only ourselves but also for our teams.
IMO; a team based endurance race would be soooo nice.

lets make it better: GTS has lack of events

The New Supra looks too much like an FT86.
You're somehow right about that one. But the overall design is still likeable, save though for its shared platform with the new Z4.

I know I'm going to catch a lot of crap for this, but Sport Mode is kind of overrated. And that isn't to say that I didn't enjoy it at some point. I just haven't gotten the same satisfaction from it since early last year.

Maybe not as much as you'd think, & I'm guessing that you didn't see my unpopular opinion from the last page...

I don't think Sport Mode is very good. It seems to be little more than the bastard child of GT5 Prologue's awful matchmaking system & GT6's insipid Quick Match!

Should I not have said anything since you already had it covered?

Of course not! Just pointing out that you might not get as much flak for your unpopular opinion as you thought.

I think what would get me back into Sport Mode is if the weekly road car races weren't limited to one-makes. They could've opened it up for class racing (N100, N200, etc.). I don't get why they won't do this, especially since they offer it for the Gr.1 - Gr.4 classes. I get the appeal of one-makes, but I'd like a little bit of variety.

I only tried Sport Mode in the closed beta & open demo, & I can't imagine that anything would ever make me try it again!

The problem with the Sport mode isn't anything in the mode itself. It's the players. :ouch:

The problem with Sport Mode is that there are no rules to define what's expected of players in a race. All FIA approved race series in the real world have rules. All we have in GTS is a computer controlled penalty system that dishes out knee jerk reaction penalties that don't correspond to anything in real life, & that are oftentimes unfair (oh & some racing etiquette videos that you'd get penalized for following some of the advice therein). The players aren't the problem generally speaking, although there certainly are some problem players, it's the way the whole system itself has been designed imo.

GT3 is the most accessible game in the entire series. Even though it had a very small car list, it actually incentivized the player to buy/unlock each one and try them out. The problem with GT4 is that it expects way too much from the player and restricts you to a certain play/driving style. As a result, it overshadows the car list and makes the game very tedious. Not to mention the slow pace feel and those absurd wait times for some license tests. The PS3 iterations suffered too much in quality and they certainly left a lot of "garbage" which PD has thankfully cleaned up with Sport.

The Peugeot RCZ is a fairly decent car even if you barely see it in Gr. 3.

The single player career struggle with limited funds and user cars was the most entertaining part of the series.

Licenses were actually challenging and fun to grind when they were a thing.

Cockpit view should be enforced for all players in official FIA races, BUT you should be able to remove the virtual wheel and pilot arms from it if you use a wheel as an input.

Sport mode rallycross events with limited to no penalties for contact should be a thing.

Drifting is a joke and should have never been introduced in the series. But that's not that unpopular, is it?

Races with slow cars are actually fun (see 500F's on Lake Maggiore Center) even if Gr.3 is the core of the Sport Mode.

Karting, and special dedicated tracks, should be in Daily Races from time to time.

I suppose I should quantify that by saying I like it for a lot of the reasons I see criticism of it on here. I like the track list, the cars, the way it looks, handles and sounds, and I can say with some certainty that I get more enjoyment and satisfaction from the game than any previous Gran Turismo. I'll also quite comfortably have put more time into Sport than 3 or 4 by the time it's finished, if I haven't already.

I also think Sport mode has made me a much better racer, and that a vast majority of complaints people have about dirty driving could be avoided if they had better racecraft.
