Yes, this one is prerecorded and the actual racing has already happened.
If this was prerecorded then how and why is the "guess the winner" still valid?

I suspect because despite it being prerecorded, its still being treated as if it were live for consistancy. Its just that now its more like Movie or show and just like a Movie or show, you'll have to brace yourself for potential spoilers.

And knowing it WAS prerecorded, that means that the winners are known and lots of players have made those selections therefore they will get the prizes unfairly?

Assuming they do know (which might be likely given what's been spilled about it), probably. As stated of course, PD could do with being more selective with their invitees in the future.

Given that the prizes are 1m credits each time and you don't lose just because somebody else wins, I wouldn't regard it is a particularly big deal.

If only I'd remembered it was recorded and not chosen my selections already 😭
You can change your selections until, like, right before the broadcast. (I don't know the actual cutoff time.)

pokemon ditto GIF

Would it break any forum rules (or be a bit unethical) if someone shared hints about who won the Tokyo races so we can collect the 2M credits from the Predict the Winners campaign? Or is that considered virtual insider trading?

Probably best for the actual GTWS thread, and in spoiler tags.

Given all these leaks from the event, PD might want to consider being a bit more selective with its invitees in future.
Isn't this the official thread then? Could someone help by pointing me to the correct thread, please? Or just dm those hints?

It is now I've moved 17 posts to here from the 1.71 update prediction thread where, for some reason, this kept being discussed instead of here even after my post...

Was it wrong to ask for the hints previously then, since that post seems to be missing?

No, and which post do you think is missing?

Is there a place where you can see the number of people voting for the Predict the Winners campaign as to whoever they think will be the winners? I personally think Takuma Sasaki for Porsche will win the Manufacturers Cup for Round 2 and Jose Serrano will probably win the Nations Cup for that round.

If someone in this forum knows the winners, dm me.

I just want the free money.

Yet they then ask for co-streamers?
All a bit odd.

Right.. the "broadcast" pre-recorded? So WT wouldnt have been affected by the update this week - but the update could have prematurely revealed things from the WT stream..

It wouldn't anyway. Events use dedicated game builds, not the public game build.
I do know that - but appearances matter. Even more so in Japan.

I'm not entirely sure why that's relevant. What about the event build would give a different appearance if the public build was 1.70 or 1.71, given that no part of the single-player game nor any of the cars or tracks outside of those used in the event itself, in order for that to matter?

They just announced Mazda RX-Vision GT3 EVO to be featured in Gran Turismo (not specified GT7…)

Too late to place a driver for Manufacturers Cup but I hope Sasaki wins for Porsche at wet Fuji race.

Edit: Takuma Sasaki wins the race! What a battle between Kodaka and Moriyama in a final lap.
