Grand Prix de Monaco 2017Formula 1

Jenson certainly isn't.
Some of the Tweets that Croft and di Resta read out definitely were, as if people were somehow expecting that Honda would magically get better despite planning an engine update for Montreal.

Seeing as Button is only doing one race, it makes sense to get a load of engine penalties for him so Alonso has some fresh engines.

Exactly. As the commentators mentioned, anything can happen at Monaco, but most likely, not in this case.

Although 'just' FP3 but Ferrari and Max is winning the psychological war against Mercedes before qualification starts this afternoon. Or will Mercedes have a hidden rabbit in their hat?

If Kimi gets any closer to the barrier with that right front tyre  , he might win a trip to the back of the field.

Edit: whoops!

13 to get Ocons car out of the barrier and also used a crowbar
Glad he is fine and could walk away

It's Monaco. They're the best and the fastest in the world. Part of that is their ability to co-ordinate with a lot of marshalls on-track.
That speed of the crane engineer.
Indeed very fast and Force India will frown their eyebrows.
refresher course coming in 3.2.1...
Respect for the marshalls though with this temperature and full suit, helmets. pffff. I'm already sweating with my shorts and slippers.

Force India are the only team to have scored points at every race this year. I hope they can repair that car in time to continue the streak.

very close Grosjean.jpg

What a great Q1 so far!! Really competitive racing and that for 'just' being Q1

Wow that donut of Grosjean was very close

As seen from TR car.jpg

With the cars now 8 inches wider, collisions with the barriers and each other loom ever closer, with passing more difficult and qualifying even more important than normal..

Hamilton is struggling big time. Don't think he'll make it to Q3.

McLaren's are the best of the rest right now, behind the Merc, Ferrari's and Red Bull.

Why did the top 5 race another hot lap in Q2? Enough new tires?

Stoffel too enthusiastic.
Hamilton very surprising. Gonna be a tough race for him

Now Q3 Ferrari 1-2 RBR 3-4? OR 1-3 2-4?
