Some of the Tweets that Croft and di Resta read out definitely were, as if people were somehow expecting that Honda would magically get better despite planning an engine update for Montreal.
 
Seeing as Button is only doing one race, it makes sense to get a load of engine penalties for him so Alonso has some fresh engines.

Exactly. As the commentators mentioned, anything can happen at Monaco, but most likely, not in this case.
 
Although 'just' FP3 but Ferrari and Max is winning the psychological war against Mercedes before qualification starts this afternoon. Or will Mercedes have a hidden rabbit in their hat?

It's Monaco. They're the best and the fastest in the world. Part of that is their ability to co-ordinate with a lot of marshalls on-track.

Indeed very fast and Force India will frown their eyebrows.
refresher course coming in 3.2.1...
Respect for the marshalls though with this temperature and full suit, helmets. pffff. I'm already sweating with my shorts and slippers.
 
Force India are the only team to have scored points at every race this year. I hope they can repair that car in time to continue the streak.

Vandoorne 6th and only 0.398 off of first in Q1 👍
 
With the cars now 8 inches wider, collisions with the barriers and each other loom ever closer, with passing more difficult and qualifying even more important than normal..
 
Merc not looking too good.
 
Hamilton is struggling big time. Don't think he'll make it to Q3.

McLaren's are the best of the rest right now, behind the Merc, Ferrari's and Red Bull.

& he hasn't. Van in the wall - which means he and Button make Q3. :odd:
 
Hamilton had plenty of opportunity to set even an average time to get into Q3, really shouldn't have left it to the last seconds of the session.
