That's not the real Lola. I forgot who does the voice acting for Lola, but it is deffinetly not her.
 
Well my game just shipped. That means I should have GTAIV waiting for me by the time I get back from college finals. :D


Finals aren't even a thing anymore. I AM SO GIDDY.

Will asia and Hong Kong have its own version? or will it just be US imports, if so then you should be able to play with US peeps...

I think there is an Asian version. I don't know which one I am picking up today though. I guess I'll just get whatever I have and change it later if I need to.

I've not heard a peep about this reigion locking. And I'm sure there would be some serious pitch fork shakeing if it where the case. 10/10.....WITH reigon locking? Nope don't think so! I would take it that this is not locked....the quote in the earlier thread said the Australian version WAS locked for reasons of lag........fair enough if it was a big issue....in fact no thats not ok for newzeland and australia nor for anyone outside of that area with friends there who want to play online together!

I find that reason to be unbelievable. I can play with 15 other players across Europe at once on GT5P, on a POS 512kb connection perfectly comfortably. I'm not thinking GTAIV is like a FPS which needs a single figure ping to be fair either.

If this AUS/NZ lock is true, I'm seriously thinking that there may be more taken out then that one alleged scene, and what has been taken out maybe somewhat affect gameplay more considerably. Also I would take my GTA back the day I get it, and order a US copy.
 
They obviously took out the part where they string up a kangaroo full of C4 to the hood of a Ford Falcon ute and blow up a kiwi cart.

Well now that really is going to stir up some trouble! No one has reported this complete reigon locking on the 360! and it may be that it's reigon locked on the PS3 as well, although other than the Australian, Newzeland problem there has been no word. I think this is a little shody of Rockstar not to mention this. As far as the review scores I'm sure this reigon locking would have lost it a few points! I've posted this up in the 360-ps3 (which version will you get) as this may be a deciding factor for some people, I know personaly it would be for me but unfortunatly very few people will hear about this before launch!

Panic over I think I misinterprated reigon locked with internet reigon locked....I hope!
 
Its nothing to do with PAL vs NTSC lock, it is to do with the multiplayer online and who you can play online with - e.g. i live in UK i will only be able to play online with people in europe
 
Does anyone know if the new shakey control pad will work with GTA4? I mean does it shake?
I'm sure this has probably been covered somewhere in the previous 60 pages but i'm about to go to bed.
 
i tried so hard to get a copy today. from the boss.. i mean we have had it in stock since the 23rd FFS... Oh well.. i know what im doing once i get home from work tommorow!! woo
 
ok guys, NEWS FEED.

Friend of mine has it already (appearently since a week) and he played it and one of the new features are that you can get drunken and resulting in that you will expercience troubles in walking and driving/flying LOL :D

Good old Amazon! Despite their warning that I could expect a delay, my copy of GTA:IV has been dispatched already :D Now it is down to Royal Mail to get it to me :ouch:
 
9 hours to go for me, going to hit the local Game store at midnight, they wouldn't take pre orders to just pick up the game so looks like I'll be in the cue listening to fanboy rants LOL

What game store doesn't take pre-orders!? Thats just more sells they will get if they take them. I pre-ordered mine at gamestop and payed in full that day so tonight i will just have to walk in a pick it up and walk out. Well, i might have to push through a crowd, will find that out later tonight:)
 
Well only 9 hours left. Can't really believe it to be honest.

Attending a midnight launch tonight, will play for a couple of hours so I'm fresh for a marathon session tomorrow.

One other thing, ff everyone can please use spoiler tags when mentioning anything to do with missions. If one of the mods could sticky a thread that would be great.
 
Yeah I went into Gamestation here in the UK on saturday, asked if they were open midnight for GTA release which they were, I then asked If I could pay for it now and just pick it up at midnight.......Nope were not taaking pre orders on GTA for store collection! (there pre order allocation is full for mail) she then asked me if I wanted the 360 or PS3 version.....being a good fanboy I said the PS3 at which she said..."we'll probubley still have copys left in the morning".......OK so this sounds like theres not alot of copys available at launch! with companys like asda (walmart UK) stateing on there website they have exhausted there pre order allocation till may the 5th on the PS3! Not trying to start panic buying......yeah on the the other hand...."theres only 3 copys left in the whole UK guys! Go buy it! LOL
 
Theres some nice in game footage on you tube at the moment (you have to be quick as rockstar are deleting them after about an hour) theres one of a guy in online mode just taking a helicopter for a spin......WOW is all I can say, the game world looks huge, with a masive amount of detail whos up for a game of hide and seek with 16 of us and the whole city to hide in! oh yeah bring your rocket launchers and the guy whos it gets to use the helicopter LOL

I ordered pre-ordered from Gamestation in January 08 and paid there and then. They didn't have any problems with it. The first batch is now being sold with a massive shipment probably already being sent. You will be able to buy the game everywhere once the first rush is over, probably in about 3-4 days.

The footage posted on Youtube has been recorded by people getting the game early or using a pirated copy. Take 2 have been implementing copyright infringement on every video posted. If you really want to see gameplay footage go to IGN.
