I've survived a 6 star for over 10 minutes and i also escaped it, got the achievment on the 360 for having 6 stars for 5 mins
 
Well, I can't play multiplayer anymore. The game just freezes every time I sign into the PSN. It worked fine before, so I don't know what's wrong.

@ Barry - did you camp or something? :lol:

has anyone of you turned on SIX AXIS? I just love it how you can control the bike and the helicopter like that.
I dont know why, but how come you can manage everything in the game using SIXAXIS, just not driving a car?? thats kinda weird too me. Answer anybody?

Because there is no "balance" in the car.
 
So, are there going to be any gtp games I can join? I would love a cannonball run with some of you guys.

I think the whole free cab thing is great, just being able to sit back and watch the surroundings, listen to the driver complaining and pressing the square button to make him put his foot down and speed through the city!

everytime i get a ride from romans driver it just annoys me. hes more annoying than funny to me. so when i get out and he starts complaining about the cab smelling i shoot him and leave him laying there on the horn:) usually i skip the whole ride but last night i let it just drive and watched. man, the cab drivers drive like complete idiots! haha. They hit everything and everyone, and when they run people down or even hit a cop, the cops dont even care. It unlocked an achievement when i got done with the ride after watching it the entire time too. I don't know if there is a certain length of ride you have to do to unlock it or not. The cab drive was a good 7 minutes at least, so it might have to be a longer drive to unlock the achievement?
 
I'd like to say about Elizebeta...

Holy crap that was unexpected and cold how she killed Manny and the cameraguy. But I was also relieved. I hated him :lol:

KM: You asked about Snow Storm and first try I didn't do so well hehe I thought waiting it out would work. It didn't. Second try I bolted to the Bobcat and fled the scene.

BTW i just finished dating Kiki, it's true she gets rid of your wanted level. :) You give her a call that police are harassing you and she says she'll call the judge. A few seconds later you're clear. I've only tried it with up to 2 stars, though. I feel like if you have too many she might say there's nothing she can do. But who knows, maybe it's foolproof.

I've finished Packie's friendship too, and the only ability he has is giving you phone bombs. Woopdie doo. :dopey:

Almost have Dwayne done, i wonder what he does.

How far is Kiki in the game?
 
Some of my favorite things about the game.

1. Taxi rides (brilliant idea. I've wanted since Vice City)!
2. Burnouts look real, if you do it too long, the tires pop.
3. The huge Tug boat. I was sure you cant drive it but you can.
4. The pump inside the "statue of happiness" (hint hint)
5. The STI that in game is an STD lol

Didn't likes.

1. The vehicles like the fork lift don't let you use them properly (like use they lift)
2. I really wish GTA games made better use of the Limo. If i'm rich, why can't i call Roman for a to pick ME up?
3. Better use of boats.
4. Tractor Trailers to be included.
 
Anyone else go on the news on the internet and see the Video Game Violence Becomes Real bit? Haha R* poking fun at Jack Thompson.

14 mins and i died cause i got bored. If you get in the chopper they cant catch you and kiki cant cancel it out. Now getting to that pay$spray would be hard with that many.

No, lame! they should have bus stops and public transit that you can use.
 
People who have completed either Dwayne or Playboy X.

I'm about to kill either playboy or dwayne but what guy has better benefits in the longrun?
 
I don't know, but I picked one of them at random and felt kinda bad about it. I felt like I'd just betrayed a friend. I've played several mission since then so I can't reload and make a different decision.

Yeah actually me too I did it just before you responded. Oh well now it looks like my decision will bring me some trouble in the long run. :banghead: Oh well.

Dwayne gives you playboys penthouse and you can become friends with him and get a benifit, playboy gives you $25,000 and then dissapears.. so i chose to kill playboy and take his penthouse and have dwayne as a mate

Yeah I made the wrong choice.... Oh well. I should have went with my gut feeling. Where did yo ufind this out? Your own source or is there some site that will tell the benefits of everyone?
 
Anyone have tips for me to get in 1 hour game time on another island to be intime to meet 'friends'?

GT I am having the swam issue, the game loads but then it gets stuck on loading the actual point I left off at, you think it may be the profile save? I already tried reinstalling the game file and it didn't help and I definitely do not want to delete my game save. Any ideas?

Either sign out from PSN or disable you PS3's internet connection completely. There seems to be an issue where if the game can't connect to the multiplayer servers, it freezes - it seems to account for the majority of mid-game freezes people are having. I had the exact same issue as you two this morning and signing out from PSN did the trick.

Damn, I knew that if I killed Playboy X that I would get his penthouse suite. The fact that the same car parking space as the other safehouses was there outside his apartment gave it away. What actually happened was that I tried the Playboy X assassination first and failed and then tried Dwayne's and it was really easy. I meant to go back and try the Playboy X killing, but just got lazy and started other missions.
 
Bah two tries of three leaf clover failed. First one was lack of health. Second I tried chucking a 'nade in a group but it hit the pillar I was hiding behind I guess and didn't notice it and blew myself to smithereens. Oh well i've been playing for at least 3hrs. Time for a break.

The first mission I've started to have a challenge is the Snow Storm one. It was pretty hard getting out of the building, let alone trying to get rid of the wanted stars.

And I guess I made the right decision about killing Playboy X. Apart from getting the apartment Dwayne may help out randomly in the future.
At first I found 3 wanted stars was impossible to get out of during Snow Storm, but in the end if you come to a complete hault in a car, so most of the police cars chasing you stop to shoot you, quickly dash away again and your chances of clearing it is much higher. It worked first time for me, but I don't know if it'll work all the time.

My longest gameplay session is 5 hours 40 apparently. :)

Yeah the second I found out Playboy X got all butthurt I did what he told me to I realized it was the wrong choice, the $25,000 was nice though

Same here, my first attempt I did great with the guys, but when it came to ecaping I already destroyed the bobcat (thinking they might ecape in it so I didnt have to chase) and had to steal another car which too soooo long, then I went the wrong way into a dead end and ended up trying to swim away from the police..... that didn't work too well, police boat ran over me and the chopper shot me up.

I have twice attempted her to remove my wanted stars and both times she couldn't, one was when I went through the airport runway area and instantly got 5 stars, the other was during a mission. I guess you can only remove a couple stars max and not during missions.

Oh and I met Kiki though love-meet.com, I thought a lawyer would be handy, is that how everyone did?
 
just disabled my internet connection, fixed it. Hopefully they will fix whatever the problem is soon... Also GT your profile is all the options you have changed in the pause menu, such as subtitles audio and what not.
 
GTA just crashed for me during my third go at Three Leaf Clover. This time I decided to use grenades much more than I usually do and after a few explosions it froze. How lovely.

I am getting so frustrated. On my previous attempt, Derrick died on the subway tracks because I accidently wounded him when running through the streets. I'm going to try it again but if it crashes once more, I'm probably going to go mental and speak gibberish for the rest of my life.

EDIT: Huzzah, finished it the next time. I encountered another small glitch which involved Derrick and Packie just standing there, safely behind cover, doing nothing. It was kind of good because I was able to clear out all of the cops without risking them. Eventually, when I got to far ahead they started moving again.

The police chase was longer than I expected. But I lost them near Packie's house anyway, so it was convenient.
