So as far as those federal vehicles I have a question that contains slight spoilers as in names of future contacts that you'll work for and a small description of the actual mission so I can get people an idea of the mission i'm talking about that have done it... I'm about 60% complete with the game and i've done at least 10 missions since the one i'm talking about. To give you an idea.

So the mission with Phil Bell where you take the cocaine that's been sitting at the old mansion for awhile and Frankie screws up and doesn't see if any 'feds' are watching the place and when the cutscene shows the feds closing in on you they are in some really cool Dodge Charger looking Federal vehicles. Does anyone know where I could find one and if not what I have to do to lure one out... 5 stars? I'd reek havoc and find out myself but I don't want to stray from missions.

Witness a maniac in a car today, driving like crazy, and guess who was the driver? An old lady:dopey:

And they are normally the old slow ones that have a heart attack when someone beeps the horn...maybe she was having one and her foot was stuck on the accelerator:scared:

i dont understand how you guys cant shake 3 stars... its so easy ive never had any trouble yet.... I guess its because i can somewhat drive, its not hard to loose the cops then i just avoid them on the map until im out of the circle.

EDIT:

Another cool feature, i ran over some fire in the car and my front tyre caught fire and then burnt out... All the rubber was gone and it was down to its rims haha.

Shaking 3 stars is easy. Shaking the cops on that particular mission is hard, though. It's not the normal police encounter... it's particularly harder on purpose because of the role N.O.O.S.E. plays in the mission.

My screen shot of three leaf clover

Oh...wait thats heat. :p

She's not even really worth it, she can only get rid of 1 or 2 stars and apparently not during a mission.

She only really worth it when you feel like driving home drunk :D

I was at near top speed in a corquet when i hit a stationary car (trying to fit up the middle of 2 lans..) and i flew out of the windscreen so far it wasnt funny. Not only that but i landed on my head bounced up and did about 3 cartwheels in the air, hit the ground again and did another cartwheel before finally coming back down and skidding along the pavement until i hit another car. Got back up and i swear i just flew 50 - 60m from the crash site. Insane...

haha, I have only once flown flew through the windscreen, I LMAO'ed and even funnier Niko said "That was not funny!".

As for three stars, most the time I don't have any problem losing them, even without stopping to get the cops out of their car first. The mission three leaf clover I lost them only after a minute of so, real easy.

The highest i've gotten away with was 4 stars. Got an achievement for that... that's about it.

It took me 2 attempts to beat that 3 leaf clover mission. The first time I came out the subway and it was pouring with rain and I couldn't shake the police due to the crappy handling of the Range Rover. I ended up rolling it over a bridge. Second try I got the "disc is unreadable" error just as I was about to go into the subway. Third time was ok, I outran the cops very quickly.

I'm loving every minute of this game.

Did the Three Leaf Clover mission last night. I motion to name it best mission of any game.

Edit:

Do I get the choice to kill either Playboy X or Dwayne? What difference will my decision make?

Ive been trying to get the car to do 5 rolls in one wreck to unlock the achievement for doing it but cannot get the car to roll more than twice! I looked at it and said to myself, man this is going to be easy. Sounds easy enough to get the car to do 5 rolls, finding it kind of hard :(

What car are you using? There is a Jeep that has immense body roll so I'm going to try it with that tonight.

is there a way to do taxi missions, ambulance missions and fire missions??

Taxi missions are done via your cousin.....I wont spoil it but when you can do them he'll tell you how, as for the police, ambulance and fire department.....try dialing the emergency services on yout phone (use the american number) this really isn't a spoiler as this comes up in the first 2 hours of play but many didn't realise how to do it. I won't tell you anymore as it'll be more of a suprise:)

Killing Playboy X gives you his loft as a safehouse

I haven't got all that far in to the game yet, but I still manage to stuff up an easy mission. I found Badman sitting on a seat in the middle of the night and he wanted me to go do a mission for him. But when I went to get a car I drove back and accidentally ran over him and killed him.

I reloaded my last save but now he isn't appearing again. Is there some special time he appears, or should I not bother with his mission?

Anyone know the deal with getting ejected from your car during a high speed crash? It has only happened to me once, during a police chase, I just tryied to do it again intentionally this time and can't.

I'm not sure if this is the correct answer, only what I've noticed from my own (limited) experience.

If I jump in a car and just take off, I seem more likely to go through the window in a crash than if I wait just a second or two after hopping in the car. I haven't seen Niko put on a seatbelt, but that's what I was guessing was going on.

I did it once in the beginning, I think I was heading to do a mission and I crashed into a pole. I may or may not have been braking. It was a WTF moment.

It happened to me the first 5 minutes of playing, lol. It happens all the time to me. Just jump in a car and get some speed up and hit something like the concrete picnic tables and you will shoot out the windshield in a fetus position. Usually if you hit something thats fairly low to the ground it will happen, at least thats what ive noticed when playing it. Sucks when it happens and you are doing a mission and trying to lose the cops. Takes him forever to get back up. Once i went to the bar and got drunk and was trying to get in my car and fell against the car, then slowly slid down it to the ground. He just laid there for about 5 minutes and i couldn't get him to do anything, had to restart the game:yuck:

The only thing I dont get so far is, I am doing all these missions. For what? Money. But, what is there to spend money on? Not much. I have over 40 000 dollars and what am I supposed to do with it?? I cant buy houses. I can buy a new suit, but that at most is 2,000 dollars. I mean it just seems pointless in my opinion.

A slight problem - only for those near the end:
I got to the part in the story whether you choose to kill Darko or not. I decided not to, and now, after roaming around for 15 minutes, saving in my apartment once and going out with a friend for a drink, the final missions have still not appeared. I know it's not the final mission since there's still some "mission progress" in the stats section to be made with a few people. I've had a couple of phone calls from Brucie and that's it.

Do I have to wait longer or no I have to do something?

hmmm guys something pretty annoying happened to me in my last mission. well i got unlucky and jacked a car and i had already 1 star police and for some reason it gave me 2 stars after i stole the car...
well, my problem happened, i had to make a U-Turn, pushed full throttle and turned left, suddenly another cruiser hit me in the back spun me round again and so on and since the police officer was hanging on my door and i kept pushing full gas and eventually my tyre blew which resulted in me spinning again and police caught me. Now thats my unluckiest story so far.

Chris :)

I'm actually past the part where Roman's depot gets burned down and I only got a chance to do a few of his taxi missions. I also know how to do vigilante missions and how to call for any emergency vehicle from your phone.
so what I want to know is can I start a paramedic , fire, or standard taxi mission like in older games. If not that's pretty damn lame considering it's been a pretty big part of the game since gta3...

Speaking of flying out the windshield. Little while ago i seen the first ped shoot out one after i hit him, never seen them do that!

While trying to get the missions to appear (see above spoiler post), I saw something totally random.

This car was pulled over by the police, and he walked over and opened the guy's boot, examined it for about 15 seconds, closed it then walked over to the driver's window. Then the policeman said "do you know how much you were speeding?" Then walked off.

Just to make sure the assains missions are not part of the game percentage? they never run out? just keep assigning new missions over and over?

I did a couple of the street races you get by phoning Brucie. The other drivers are completely retarded. 20 seconds into the race and I'd completely lost them already. They're smashing into traffic, into each other, into buildings and lampposts, etc.

Yeah, I noticed that. They were definitely more competitive in the other GTAs.

I've noticed that even thought there's more traffic than in previous GTAs, especially in areas like Star Junction, the traffic seems to be deliberately designed that you can get through it, there's always a gap more than a car wide between lanes of traffic or to the left or right of single lane streets so you can easily fly by. Traffic crossing at right angles to you is still something to be very careful about.

anyone? :(

LMAO! You should go to iTunes and subscribe to the 'Adam and Joe' podcast, Joe talks about GTA in the latest episode and it's hilarious! These guys are brilliant anyway but when he goes on about GTA it's legendary.

"So I just smashed into her house and she didn't seem to notice, she just got out the car and said "I'll see you again!" " XD

It's not about rags to riches, and you're not doing it just for money. Depending on where you are, you'll find that Niko is only doing these missions to find someone.

There's only 9, I believe. They shouldn't have any effect on the story.
